I awoke sometime the next morning to Kil'Nah sitting on the edge of my bed.

"Is everyone-" I started to say, but was cut off with a wave of his hand.

"Everyone is fine, nobody was injured except for you. The Jedi took care of everything, just as I said they would. They took it upon themselves to patch you up and heal you with their medical supplies. You owe them an apology the next time you see them, boy." Kil'Nah scolded me. "Consider yourself extremely lucky they arrived when they did, the other fighters were preoccupied dealing with the other Gorr'aks to help you. How many times have I told you to carry a bster with you, but no, you always have to do things with just your fists."

  "Elder, I-"

"Enough! We could have...we could have lost you. Just as we lost your parents." I closed my eyes and y back down, unable to say anything in response. "You are the only child in the vilge, Jak. If you had perished, we would have mourned you for years." Ugh, I felt terrible.

"You're right, I'm sorry. I didn't think the Gorr'ak would be as strong as it was; it caught me off guard. Plus, Morah would have been killed if I hadn't acted! But...you're right that I wanted to help out for selfish reasons. And for that, I am very sorry for worrying you."

"Hmph, at least you have some sense. Regardless, you have gotten your wish. The Jedi wish to speak with you. Be happy, and you may finally leave this pce." Instead of yelling at me or scolding me further, he turned to me with a smile. "If you're willing to almost die over this, I suppose if they wish to take you with them, I'll permit you. I'll go inform them of your awakening." He stood up, his aging joints cracking as he did.

  "Elder?"

  "Hm?"

"Thank you." Again, he waved me off, but I knew, despite our differences, I had finally gotten his blessing.

About 10 minutes ter, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan knocked on my door before entering. They bid me hello and I returned their greeting. However, they were not alone, and I was shocked to see a third familiar face filing in behind them.

  Ahsoka Tano.

I was surprised for two reasons. The first was that Qui-Gon introduced her as Master Tano, throwing me for a loop.

The second thing that surprised me was the fact that she was...incredibly busty and curvy compared to the more lithe and petite body type I'd expected her to have. She wore that sleeveless dark grey tunic from her show; however, instead of baggy pants, she had on a pair of tight leggings that accentuated her strong and thick thighs.

"Hi, er, hello. Thanks for saving my life, I owe you." I chuckled, causing my wounds to sting. Ahsoka smiled and cocked her head in amusement as Qui-Gon sat beside me.

"Try not to strain yourself, Jak, right? And do not worry, I would be a terrible Jedi if I neglected saving the life of another. Speaking of saving lives, you put on quite the show fighting that tusked beast. Tell me, what do you know of the Force?" Ah, already getting to the main point of it all, eh? This guy moves quickly.

"Oh, Master, I don't think the Council will let this stand." Obi-Wan groaned. "You know that he's too old to be considered for training. We came here on the off chance of finding a Force-sensitive child, not a grown man."

"I agree, the other Council members won't be too keen on this Master," Ahsoka said with a grin on her face as she appraised me with her eyes a little too long for my comfort.

"Actually...while I am 20 years old, my species tends to live on average almost 1,000 years. Elder Kil'Nah will be 800 next month, for example. To everyone on this rock, I'm a kid despite being fully grown, It's a whole thing I'd rather not get into. Just know that I'm considered a child on my pnet." Qui-Gon csped his hands together.

"There, you see! Stopping by this pnet was not a waste of time after all now was it, my young Padawan?" Obi-Wan rolled his eyes as Qui-Gon pulled out a little rectangur object with a screen on it and a stylus attached to it. "Jak, this machine here will be able to analyze your blood to see whether you meet the standard midichlorian count expected of those we consider worthy of becoming a Jedi. May I see your hand?" I presented my hand to him and he uncapped the stylus, revealing a needle, and used it to prick my thumb.

Once he collected enough blood, he inserted the stylus into the bottom of the reader as it began its analysis.

"So...please enlighten me, Master Qui-Gon, what compelled you to visit my pnet in the first pce. A hunch?" He gave a hearty ugh at my question.

"Would it delight you to know that I have no idea why? One minute I'm meditating, and the next thing I know, I feel a strong compulsion to find someone on your pnet, and I was ultimately drawn to your vilge. The Force works in mysterious ways, my young friend, consider that your first lesson." Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon then proceeded to bicker over the possibility of me ever becoming a Jedi while Ahsoka made her way over to me, taking the elder Jedi's spot on my bed.

"Hello, Jak. How do you feel? I wrapped you up as best as I could, and I'll be happy to change out those bandages for you, too." She smiled politely, but it felt hollow somehow, fake? I knew this was Ahsoka Tano, but to me, it felt like she was only acting like the Ahsoka I knew.

"Thank you, Lady Tano. Your help is very appreciated. Elder Kil'Nah told me you all had to use your personal supplies to help me, I'll pay you back whenever I'm able to as thanks."

"Please, think nothing of it. It's just as Qui-Gon said, what sort of Jedi would we be if we couldn't do that much?" She pced a hand on mine and gave it a gentle squeeze while staring intently into my eyes.

  Wait.

  Was she hitting on me?

No, no way. Isn't this sort of thing completely against the Jedi code? Maybe I was overthinking it, and she was just being extra nice since I almost died. Yeah, let's go with that. Suddenly, a loud beeping sound silenced everyone, and she stood to allow Qui-Gon to return to my side.

"Now let's see what you're made of, d." After fiddling with the midichlorian reader, thing, he narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Only 8,500? That can't be right, it's much lower than I had anticipated." I blinked a few times as I processed this information. From what I was able to recall, anyone with at least 5,000 midichlorians per cell was considered Force sensitive. However, 10,000 was considered the bare minimum to be inducted into the Jedi order.

In other words, I was below average.

"Master Qui-Gon. Maybe I can expin. You see, I can only enhance my body, nothing else as far as I'm aware. Does that help make the reading make more sense?" Qui-Gon's brow furrowed, and he turned off the device.

"Yes, why yes it does. Regardless, after speaking with your elders, it is clear you've managed to utilize the Force in this way for nearly 10 years and to great effect without any formal training. That alone is enough for me to consider asking the Council to make an exception to allow me to train you. Besides, I think that the Order can be...too strict with their regutions." While it felt good that he was rooting for me, a part of me felt downtrodden upon learning that I was nothing more than a sub-par Jedi in the making.

"Master, are you sure that this is a wise course of action?" Obi-Wan asked, mild concern in his voice. Ahsoka watched on in silence.

"I believe the Force has deemed it a necessity. As well as the fact that Jak here has maintained his connection into biological adulthood, something that I will argue to the Council. I trust the resident Council member here will at least allow me to speak to the Council on this matter, yes?" All 3 of us turned towards Ahsoka, who let out an amused ugh.

  "Certainly, go right ahead."

  "Wait, what does that mean?"

"It means, dear boy, you must come with us to Coruscant to formally meet the Council so I can make the case to have you trained. That is, if you wish to come with us?"

"Yes!" I said excitedly, before feeling embarrassed. "I mean, yes." Qui-Gon smiled.

"I hope you know what you're doing, Master." Obi-Wan shook his head.

"Now that this matter has been settled, please excuse us as your lovely people have invited us to lunch. However, as soon as you recover, we will make haste back to Coruscant." As the duo turned to leave, Ahsoka said that she'd stay behind to speak with me about my Force abilities some more. The pair accepted this, and soon we were left alone.

"I lied, I just wasn't ready to leave yet." She said with a hint of mischief.

  "Oh, okay?"

Ahsoka sat down next to me and politely asked if she could remove my bandages and repce them with clean ones she had brought in a pack with her. I told her that was fine, and she helped me get into a sitting position. She then climbed onto the bed behind me and carefully cut the bandages off with what I assumed were medical scissors.

"You poor thing...if the cws had dug in only an inch deeper, you would have been killed for sure." She whispered as she pced her hands on the still-stinging wounds on my back and shushed me as I hissed from the pain. Seconds ter, the pain subsided, and a calming, cooling sensation filled my body. "The Force has more applications that extend beyond combat." She expined as her orange hands traveled across my body, before settling on the wounds on my chest. "How do you feel?" She said softly, her lips dangerously close to my ear, causing my body to shudder.

"I-I'm fine. Whatever you're doing, it's working." I managed to say. Her left hand traveled down my abdomen before her fingers reached the waistline of my pants, and she paused.

"Lady Tano, what are you-" I started to question her, but paused when I heard a loud knocking on my door.

Ahsoka pulled back and quickly started wrapping fresh bandages around my torso as Obi-Wan burst through the door excitedly.

"Master Tano, the vilgers are asking to see you, something about wanting to see a real duel between Jedi. Qui-Gon is quite eager to show them and asked me to hurry you along." With a cheery voice, Ahsoka said she would finish up and join them as soon as she was able. Obi-Wan nodded and left us. With grace and dexterity, she finished applying the bandages before getting off the bed and packing her supplies.

"I'll see you ter, Jak, rest well."

"Thank you, Lady Tano." And with an unreadable smile, she nodded and left.

What the hell was that about?
