East Blue — Aboard a Grand Luxury Vessel
The opulent cruise ship sailed calmly through the azure waters of the East Blue, its decks brimming with festivity. Inside, chandeliers sparkled overhead as nobles, merchants, and social elites mingled at a grand ballroom, enjoying the finest food, wine, and company the sea could offer.
Out on the outer deck, separated from the noise and glamour, a young woman with vivid orange hair leaned lightly on the railing, her sharp eyes fixed on the horizon where sea met sky.
"They should be arriving soon... the Alvida Pirates."
Nami's gaze narrowed slightly, the ocean still rippling from the earlier disturbance of a small whirlpool. Her elegant gown fluttered in the breeze, belying the purpose behind her presence. She wasn’t here to dance or dine. She had donned this disguise and snuck aboard for one reason: the pirates that were soon to attack.
The plan was simple. Once the Alvida Pirates launched their assault, the ensuing chaos would provide the perfect cover for her to slip aboard their ship and help herself to their treasure.
After all, she wasn’t just any thief—she was a pirate thief. One who stole only from pirates.
“Would the sea’s most radiant flower care to dance?”
A warm, amused voice broke through her thoughts. Nami turned, offering a politely curious glance to the handsome young man who stood behind her, extending his hand with a charming smile.
She returned the smile with a practiced grace. “Why not?”
Their hands met, and he led her to the dance floor. The ballroom's tempo flowed around them, and the two moved in rhythm with ease, a striking pair under the crystal lights.
“That whirlpool from earlier was something, wasn’t it?” the man asked casually, still smiling.
“It startled me, honestly,” Nami answered, her voice light, but her instincts alert.
The man, Jack, said nothing more. He simply studied her as they danced—the story’s original heroine, standing right before him.
“Read Abilities.”
A translucent interface appeared before his eyes, unseen by anyone else.

[Ability Scan: Nami]
Pirate Thief (Blue): A noble-hearted thief targeting pirates; highly skilled in stealth and lockpicking.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Navigation (Deep Purple): Extraordinary navigational prowess, enabling confident travel across the Blues and the Grand Line.
Climate Sense (Pale Gold): A rare, instinctive sensitivity to weather shifts, allowing accurate prediction through bodily intuition.
....
"As expected of the Straw Hat crew’s future navigator," Jack mused silently. "A Deep Purple and a Pale Gold already, even this early in the timeline."
Jack wasn’t from this world.
A month ago, he’d been an ordinary man on Earth. But then, he'd found himself thrown into the dangerous, unpredictable world of One Piece.
He hadn’t had time to despair before the System awakened within him.
[Ability System]
A cheat-like power that allowed him to see, plunder, and equip other people's Abilities.
In this world, Abilities were everything—representations of one's talents, strengths, and innate gifts. They came in four tiers: White, Blue, Purple, and Gold. Purple and Gold were further divided into Pale, Deep, and Apex.
Unlike the natives of this world, who had to train or be born gifted, Jack could steal and evolve Abilities through his system.
So far, he only had one.

[Current Ability – Jack]
Beast Strength (Blue): The primal power of a ferocious animal; grants enhanced raw physical strength.
....
Not flashy. Not rare. But for someone freshly thrown into this brutal world, it was enough to survive—barely. He had stolen it from a corpse of a beast shortly after arriving. And now, his instincts had brought him to this ship—the very ship where the canonical tale would begin.
....
[Location Ability – Ship of Beginnings]
A vessel marked by the start of the One Piece journey.
....
It wasn't a combat Ability, but its presence confirmed his intuition. He was on the right ship, at the right moment.
And just then—
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The air shattered as cannonballs screamed through the sky, hammering the waters and deck in a violent spray. Flames burst from the impact points, and the elegant calm dissolved into immediate terror.
Screams rang out.
“Pirates!”
“Everyone stay calm—don’t run!”
A distant ship approached quickly, bearing a Jolly Roger marked by a crude heart-shaped skull—Alvida's flag.
Nami's eyes lit up. "Right on schedule."
But something pulled at her attention—the man she had been dancing with.
He wasn’t panicking. Not even a little.
In fact, like her, he was watching the pirate ship approach with the calm of someone expecting it.
Nami’s smile faltered. Was he a thief too?
Jack met her gaze, eyes glinting with amusement.
“Looks like we both have other business to handle,” he said coolly, letting go of her hand.
And just like that, he turned and disappeared into the chaos without waiting for a reply.
Nami stood still for a heartbeat.
“…Doesn’t seem like a rival. But he’s not just a bystander either.”
She didn’t have time to dwell on it. Timing was everything.
Without hesitation, she ripped off the fancy gown, revealing her usual thief attire beneath. Sleek, mobile, and ready for action.
She crouched, watching as the Alvida Pirates stormed aboard the ship. She waited, invisible amidst the panic, until most of the crew had disembarked.
Then, with practiced precision, she pulled out a grappling hook, hurled it toward the now-lightly guarded pirate ship, and swung across the gap like a shadow.
Her real heist was about to begin.
