  LNCS is a member of the Vaktez Quartet, fulfilling the role of their executioner and duelist. If the myths about him are to be believed, he has not lost a one-on-one engagement since the era of the Long Night—not until encountering IQST/236470931618711591202345638/BC, that is. LNCS is a blood-brother to MDFR, and a brother-of-bond to GLPS and VLTH. It is understood, via accounts from the Heretek Antonax, that LNCS is responsible for the downfall and disappearance of the planet Vaktez some eons ago. However, this is believed to be the extent of his abilities.

  It should not be understated—LNCS is a threat to Imperial life worthy of overwhelming response; the deployment of Astartes, Grey Knights, or even Exterminatus are reasonable countermeasures to LNCS’s presence on a world. However, despite being able to create localized Warp-tears and command a regiment of daemons, the threat LNCS poses on a galactic scale is miniscule compared to his blood-brother or bonded-sister. Indeed, in a strategic sense, even GLPS poses a higher priority for termination than LNCS. LNCS can threaten a world at a time, but when one considers the scale of Systems, Sectors, or Segmentums, LNCS poses merely intermittent issue.

  That said, those who engage with LNCS should do so with the utmost care and conviction. The Quartet relies on LNCS for the elimination of key targets or the acquisition of vital resources. In the grander theatre of war, he may be nonthreatening, but on the battlefield there are few things deadlier than he. LNCS can decapitate civilizations and plunge worlds into upheaval, but, thus far, only one at a time. His being deployed, however, is undoubtedly a signifier of the workings of his ilk, and thus his efforts, furthering theirs, cannot be allowed to succeed.

  LNCS possesses accelerated healing of his flesh and skeletal structure, though it is not known whether this is a permanent biological advantage or only manageable while in the presence of Warp-exposure; encounters with LNCS thus far have only taken place in Warp-heavy environments, and it is known that he and his siblings can “drink” from the Warp as though it were a nectar. He arms himself with limbs and appendages of animalistic origins, leading to some dubbing him a “Chimera,” and indeed, he appears able to shift his form at-will to suit his needs. One may safely assume his shape and size fully malleable. In addition, he appears to possess an advanced capacity for witchcraft, easily able to rip through reality like a daemon.

  However, it must be observed: LNCS and his ilk are not daemons. On the surface, this may seem like a blessing, but Inquisitorial analysis agrees: their being of biological origin makes them more dangerous. Conventional countermeasures to daemonology fall flat against LNCS and his ilk. Knowing their true names grants no power over them. They cannot be banished, and symbolic armaments are less effective against them. Yet they possess all the advantages of daemonhood, and then some. What’s more, they do not need to be ‘summoned’ via profane rituals into our realm; they can come and go as they please, like Traitor Astartes, except they possess a fundamentally advanced knowledge of the workings of the Warp and do not seem ill-affected by the tumultuous currents of the Sea of Souls. Logistically speaking, this makes LNCS and his ilk threats of an incalculable scale. As stated previously, an overwhelming response is recommended upon any encounter with any member of the Vaktez Quartet, LNCS included.

  Finally, LNCS has confirmed to possess intimate knowledge of CRNS, justifying his sanctioning as Diabolus Maximus, to be annihilated on sight.
