Chapter 23: Journey to the Kingdom of Etelia — Confronting the Unknown

Chapter 23: Journey to the Kingdom of Etelia — Confronting the Unknown

  Scene 1: The King's Summons

In the Silver Crown Hall of the Eden Palace, where crystal chandeliers shimmered in candlelight, King Rios stood before the five knights.

King Rios (his voice filled with concern and resolve):

"Hanto, Raigar, Hakura, Kain, and Lorena… I have received word that the mysterious Kingdom of Etelia is undergoing a disturbance in its natural laws. A looming threat may have consequences too great for any other kingdoms to bear. I summon you to stop it."

Lorena (focused on the map spread on the table):

"Etelia… according to legend, it's located inside a massive glass cube that maintains the balance of time and space."

  Raigar (sharply):

"And what about that And what about that cube -shaped core the legend speaks of — the heart of the kingdom?"

core the legend speaks of — the heart of the kingdom?"

  King Rios (nodding):

"That cube is the center of natural equilibrium. If the enemy corrupts or seizes it, the natural laws in Etelia will collapse… and chaos will spread across the other kingdoms."

Hanto (quietly, eyes locked on the map):

"We’ll depart immediately, Your Majesty. Just show us the way."

Outside the palace, in the horse yard, the knights gathered near their mounts: a white and black horse, a gray one, and two golden ones.

Hakura (seated on her gray steed as she secures her travel pack):

"I can feel the air of Etelia… twisted, like time itself coils here."

Kain (examining miniature maps strapped to his boots):

"We’ll first cross the Twisting Woods, then the Eternal Ice Valley, and finally reach the cube’s border. The path is riddled with space-time traps."

Lorena (holding a glowing herb in a glass vial):

"This light herb will protect us from magical disorientation. It will guide us inside the cube."

Raigar (raising his fist, a faint orange flame glowing):

"I’m ready to tear apart anything that dares to disrupt this place’s balance."

Hanto (tightening his sword beside his blade ‘The Black Inscriptions’):

"Our horses are ready… our hearts united. Let’s ride!"

Scene 3: Crossing the Twisting Woods

The knights set out toward a towering forest where tree branches resembled giant wings.

Hakura lit her ice crystal to dispel the clinging fog.

Kain traced shadow lines on the ground to prevent the trees from moving and trailing them.

Lorena launched a tube of directed light skyward through the thick canopy.

Suddenly, the trees converged before them like black walls. Raigar cast a compressed flame, slowly burning a path through. Hanto darted through the rotting trunks, carving a light fissure through the darkness.

After hours of maneuvering, the group finally exited the forest, breathing out toward the Eternal Ice Valley.

  ---

Scene 4: The Eternal Ice Valley

They arrived at a valley covered in still ice like a calm sea. But their first steps made the ground tremble — slippery fissures cracked beneath them, glowing with a pale blue hue.

Lorena placed the glowing herb on her heavy boot to stabilize the light anchors.

Kain extended a shadow bridge over the cracks.

Raigar intensified his flame to resist the freezing chill.

The ice creaked and suddenly shattered beneath Raigar’s horse… he was launched into the air. Landing on his feet, he hurled an ice spear he had prepared into a widening gap, sealing it instantly.

Hanto stepped forward bravely and launched a light strike onto the ice. A black shimmer surged across it, freezing the rift and sealing the path. Exhausted but safe, they climbed onto the opposite shore.

Scene 5: Edge of the Cube

At last, their horses stood before a massive glass wall towering like the heart of the sky, etched with intricate geometric lines. At its center, an oval gap formed the gate.

  Hakura (whispering):

"This is the gate… beyond it lies the entire kingdom."

Their eyes met as each knight wore a symbol of courage on their chest. Kain stepped in first through the gap, and wind swept them inward as if they'd shifted into an eternal moment.

  ---

  Scene 6: Finale

When they returned to awareness, they found themselves standing in stunning green meadows, surrounded by translucent buildings shaped with perfect symmetry. The laws of physics shimmered like artistic strokes.

In the distance, they saw the cube design engraved onto the cube’s inner walls, anchoring the land and upholding balance.

The knights stood in a line, their horses breathing slow, their eyes gleaming with awe and determination.

  Hanto (quiet and firm):

"Here we are… the real mission in Etelia begins now."

The curtain falls on the chapter, and the unknown horizon awaits their next steps.
