Chapter 32: The Curse of the Ancestors

  Scene One – Secrets Revealed

In the heart of the floating library, the knights sat in silence. The dim light from the floating lamps cast long shadows across the floor made of ancient pages.

The old man, with one eye covered, reached out his trembling hand toward a book locked in chains. He whispered an ancient incantation, and the chains unraveled with a sound that resembled the screams of lost souls.

  He opened the book…

The sound of its pages wasn’t paper—but moaning.

  > “You think those skeletons you saw... belonged to murderers?”

He looked toward Hanto, who seemed tense.

  > “They were victims.”

  > “They were the ancestors of Noval—the first alchemists… They wanted to use their knowledge to heal souls, not destroy them.”

Irene, her face filled with astonishment:

  > “But they were hanged… why?”

The old man closed his only remaining eye:

  > “Because they were feared. When kingdoms fear what they don’t understand... they burn it.”

  The air grew heavier.

  > “And Orsay... was one of them.”

Scene Two – A Past Etched in Blood

Then the scenes appeared—not in words—but from the book itself, as if the images emerged to fill the void.

A small boy... crying in a dark alley.

Before his eyes… his mother and father were hanged at the city gates.

  He screamed… the people laughed.

  > “End the bloodline of this filth!”

  The old man continued:

  > “Orsay was born in the lowest caste of society... And when his talent for alchemy began to show, they called him a demon… because of his red eyes.”

  > “He was tortured, imprisoned, stripped of his name... and reduced to a number.”

  > “But what they didn’t know… is that hatred never dies.”

A shot is shown of a demonic hand reaching for young Orsay… the hand belonged to the ceiling of evil—Zork.

  ---

Scene Three – A New Era

  > “Zork visited him in his cell... and opened a door from which there was no return.”

  > “He gave him supernatural power… the power of absolute tyranny, and turned him from a broken boy into a soulless monster, stripped of all humanity.”

  Suddenly, the book slammed shut.

The old man looked at them:

  > “Now… Orsay doesn’t want revenge alone.”

  > “He wants to destroy the Eye itself… the Eye that sees all within the kingdom, the very thing that caused all his suffering.”

  Kain stood up in anger:

  > “But that will kill thousands!”

The old man shook his head:

  > “To him… justice isn’t measured by numbers, but by pain.”

Scene Four – Knights and the Bitter Truth

  Silence fell… emotions were tangled.

Hanto, who had always seen the world in black and white, began to doubt everything.

  Hakura whispered:

  > “He’s a monster… but not without reason.”

  Irene closed her eyes:

  > “Sometimes… hatred is born from screams no one heard.”

  > “And now… we must decide.”

She asked in a sorrowful voice:

  > “Do we face him as an enemy… or try to save what remains of him?”

The final image of the chapter… a distant shot of the Forbidden Forest trembling once again.

And from beneath the earth… a red eye opened, silently watching them.

  End of Chapter.
