  They were with two others.

  Not like his others, though.

The girl was almost like his others…

  Something was different.

The boy’s wind followed after him like…

  What was that word?

  His others stood waiting…

  Waiting for his command.

His glowing amber eyes narrowed at the two adults with the young ones.

Bad others came, their voices echoing down the street.

They pointed at the female and the old man.

Pointing sticks with shining ends at them.

  Pointing…what was that word?

  Gun.

  Danger.

He commanded his others to attack the bad others with pointy sticks and guns.

The old man grabbed the kids, and the woman followed.

  He followed.

  He hid.

Watching as she put the young ones and old man in a room.

  Putting big things in front.

Then she saw a bad other, she made a loud noise before running drawing the bad other away from the young others and old man.

Staying hidden, he looked carefully behind the heavy thing in front of the…

He blinked before pulling the image of the two others from his pocket.

  They were the same.

The girl looked up, dark amber eyes clashing with his.

She did not scream. She nodded toward him. The other young other looked up, grabbing the girl’s hand standing in front.

  Protecting.

  His lips twitched.

  Little protector.

He glanced at the old man, who also looked at him but did not move to hurt him.

  They were different others.

  Still afraid.

  But different.

He would stand to protect too until the female came back.

When night came, and his others him stood under the stars, eyes upon the dim lights.

Closing his eyes, he saw his others lights.

  He’d lost some.

  The bad ones killed them.

He would need to protect his own better.

Protect like the female did the young ones.

He opened his eyes and looked at the image of them.

His amber eyes glowing in the night.
