[V2:C50] To The West!

  [Year 33]

  [Jiatatousil]

The Drakins and the tribes had begun their expeditions to the east. However, a few months in they realized that the real world was undoubtedly boring. The tribes had lived near dungeons all their lives, farming and using what the dungeon had left for food.

The tribes were resourceful for every scrap of meat they got, they had to deliver food back to Jiatatousil since they were raining in surplus meat. Other than that, their only worry was if they had already marked the land.

  “What great yield once again!”

“It seems that monsters from our old home had scattered around here.”

  “Indeed.”

Zerkian listened to some Garlushans speaking, behind him were rows of animals being bled out before being chopped up by a butcher around them to be sent back to Jiatatosil.

“We need permanent settlements instead of just camping in and out,” Zerkian spoke.

“Why so?” Ga’dahn asked curiously whilst chewing on dried meat.

“Well. because we have to stop, wait for the butchers to do their job, and then continue. If we have permanent settlements whenever we go then we could just pass them and continue moving forward.”

“Meh, say that to the leaders..” Ga’dahn shrugged. “Its really hard to convince them but since you're a Drakin it might work.

Zerkian nodded, walking off towards the war chieftain’s camp. Hadro watched with amusement how every tribe was handling their own expeditions. The Garlushans had been handling it simply.

They have a messenger who sends back letters and what could be materials or food they had encountered which the shamans and the physicians study in Jiatatousil. However, problems arise from this.

The messenger gets back longer and longer because the more land the Garlushans cover especially when Garlushans and Raamont are traveling south, which is colder than where they came from.

However, the ones that aren't bothered much by the cold are the Garlushans since the dungeon they used to live in has a cold biome within it. The Raamont are tolerating the cold with warm clothes.

They weren't as prideful as the Garlushans thought, Hadro saw how filled with challenge and something to prove the Raamonts were. It's probably because the Raamont warriors tried to challenge the Drakins once and saw how an elderly Drakin was more powerful than their warriors.

It probably taught them that they’re not the best and are actively trying to better themselves, a stark contrast to Garlushans who wants to train to become the stronger version of themselves, a philosophy vastly different from the Raamonts, who wanted to be the best.

Nonetheless, they got along well as they were traversing lands fast, if not the issue of the messenger.

The Irkifi and Fauthili are more cooperative and get along much better. The Fauthili were good close-quarter combatants and had been defending the Irkifi who have better shamans.

Hadro had been thinking about what the difference was between a shaman and a mage, turns out, that shamans also heal people. This was great for Hadro because he decided that he would be adding that to the next system update.

Anyways, Hadro had determined at least a dozen people are in tier 2, meaning most of them have their attributes above 10. If comparing to Arkum, at least two are near to becoming a tier 3 and none of them are humans.

  Zerkian’s system looks like this.

He already had a single Attribute over the hundreds, one or two more above 100, and he is officially a third tier or better yet, a champion. Mari had her spirit and intelligence that passed over 100 and that was enough to turn her to a third tier.

The only reason why Hadro extended the number of attributes on a system is because of Kasha when Hadro introduced Suilpo. He noticed that because of the irregular growth that happened to her physical body and soul, if she were to be bestowed the same privilege of a [Suilpo speaker] then her soul would produce more energy than she can handle.

So the only choice for Hadro at the time was to make sure she learned it by herself.

Anyways, Hadro moved over to the Aamuka and Sahangili, they were a good pair if Hadro had to describe it. The Aamuka practiced poison and medicine, so if they were compared to shamans, they were better, only in the medicinal part.

The Sahangili are both a mage and a warrior tribe, however, they are obsessed with fire. Like every attack they have be it bare hands or weaponized, it always has fire imbued to it. Now that Hadro thinks about it, The Sahangili had this small splotch of red around their soul.

Once he took a closer look. The red splotch looked foreign, however, the souls of the Sahangili did not reject it. It seems that their souls are even feeding it their energy, When Hadro took a look at the elders of the Sahangili tribes, he saw that their souls are fully coated in red, and their pupils are also tinted red.

  “Fascinating.”

Is there some ecosystem that Hadro is unaware of? His Abyssal knowledge does not have any of this, though he quickly ruled out the thought. Like the drakins, they may have a unique trait or characteristic, so he went to see the status of one.

He went over a young Sahangili and checked their status.

Sahamuha? Hadro questioned and checked the trait.

  [Sahamuha’s Descendant]

  • Sahamuha had blessed his descendants to come with better fire control and better attunement to flames. This trait will bless everyone who shares Sahamuha’s blood.

  •
  • A small kindle will be inherited by a child from their parent.

  •

Hadro cannot check the history of objects yet but he could tell that Sahamuha is not a mortal. Nonetheless, he earned Hadro’s respect. Sahamuha had probably created this blessing with his family in mind.

This made Hadro a lot curious, aside from checking out the Jiatatousilians, he went to Allie and checked her.

“─ins are my 6th descendant, she chose to polymorph into a human and mingled with them, the only problem with that is that it made her weaker, like her whole capability as a dragon was completely null.” The dragon sighed. “Nonetheless, I feel much more bad about her descendants as the first generation were practically immortal. Every descendant from dragons always ends up with dragon blood, human blood lives up to fifty…”

When Hadro took a look, Allie was busy listening to the old dragon’s story. It felt like he was about to interrupt when he got curious about the story and continued listening.

“...to a hundred years but us dragons? Us dragons span over hundreds of millennia longer than elves or their progenitor the Titans, those half dragons my descendants lived as humans, and once those human blood within them expired? All that is left for them is to go crazy like a human.

It was only my love for my descendant that I raised the dragonlings, or as I named them Drakins, though my love for them almost vanished when humans killed my descendant…”

The Dragon looked at Allie and then paused, Allie tilted her head curiously and Hadro realized that the Dragon was looking at him. “Allie, tell the dragon that I greet them.”

Allie yelped in surprise before looking at the Dragon and speaking. “F-Father was here, he said hello…” she said silently.

“I… noticed.” The Dragon squinted her eyes. “Isn't a Dragon’s story boring to you…?”

  “His name is Hadro.”

“Right, we didn't have a chance to introduce each other back then, my name is Lazelle.”

“Father said that your story was interesting to listen to Lazelle, if he wasn't intruding, he wished to listen more.”

“Really? I see, having more company isn't so bad.”

With that, Lazelle continued her story. How the first generation Drakin became crazy and she had to take care of them, how she watched their population grow and become isolated. How she protected them from many harm like being prosecuted from a kingdom and having to leave that continent.

To stories of how they landed on the ninth continent, how the Drakins fought for their lives, how the first generation Drakins died heroically dying for their kin and being the cause for the foundation of Jiatatousil.

Of how the Dragon wept in joy as a dragon came up to her for help but died soon after but not without leaving an infant dragon behind. Hadro earned a snark remark after apparently, it was the same dragon that he killed, the same dragon that Lazelle considered hers.

After listening for a while, Hadro heard a distressed call from Magnus. which he immediately went towards, there he found the Acheloura about to rampage towards the Marshland village.

Magnus confined it inside a barrier which it breaks quite fast. Magnus sensed Hadro’s presence as soon as he came in.

  “Son?”

  “Uhh, father, this monster’s new─”

The Acheloura stared at Magnus before it opened its maw at him, Magnus expected it to be the same fiery liquid to shoot out except this time, it seemed like a pressurized water and shot out in a small stream.

Breaking through Magnus’ barrier and had enough force to continue shooting forward. Magnus had to evade. Hadro knew what to do however, before he could do anything the Acheloura spat out the fiery liquid with a wide spread covering Magnus’ field of view.

Magnus erected a barrier to himself but whatever the Acheloura spat out was persistent and started eating his barrier. Hadro momentarily took over his Aiden and blasted the liquid off him.

  “Father, what was that?”

“It's probably a monster from the same dungeon, but it had a different kind of power.”

“No I mean, how’d you do that?” Magnus asked excitedly.

  “Huh?”

“The Push back thing─ Aha!” Magnus force shoved his surroundings. All the goop that came from the Acheloura splattered on the trees catching them on fire.

  “...”

  “...”

  “Deal with that yourself, Magnus”

  Hadro’s presence receded.
