Of Naial, and the First Beginning

It began from Xaiorilbh, and Sleacirion.

Within His and Her immortal body, millions of substances of unfathomable detail crashed into one another without hesitation, with chance that defied any form of logic known today. One time, maybe at the Beginning, maybe at the End, chance gave birth to two sparks of great density. Gath’ring more particles, these substances became known as the First Great Things, and, under Their guidance, did they truly walk, talk and speak, and fly and fight at speeds unimaginable, and their number slowly rose to a forgotten power of ten, until, at some point Before Time, there was one Xaiorilbh and one Sleacirion among an infinite number of His mist-like Great Things, and each had, without gender, their own name, their own identity and education in godly powers of all kinds, and earned the name of U’nur, the Sparks of Life. Within these U’nur was one Nai’al, and he received most love from his creators, and began to be nam’d “Lov’d of Sleacirion”. However, some of the U’nur spoke now of Him in hushed tones, and smil’d at him with cloak’d mouths, and led to the birth of the Second Emotion…

  Hate.

Soon, after an eternity, or, to Xaiorilbh, a moment, two factions of the U’nur were established. One faction, which supported Nai’al, said that Father Xaiorilbh and Mother Sleacirion loved all equally. The other argued that Mother Sleacirion showered unconditional love on Nai’al.

And the war began, and they fought with unimaginable weapons of great power and gore, till all the Nothing was quaking with the power of the U’nur. Then Mother Sleacirion rose, and the U’nur marvelled at her beauty, but the war went on. Mother Sleacirion call’d upon Xaiorilbh, who rose from his throne in great dread, raised his hand, and spoke: “U’nur.”

At the force of this word, the very Nothing seemed to stretch away from Xaiorilbh’s contempt. And, as the shocked U’nur saw, the Nothing retracted back, leaving behind a small thing of an unnamed shape.

And Mother Sleacirion had a Foretelling, and it told her that this would be her home, and that she would, one day, die for it. In her vision, she saw the birth of new creatures, and beautiful, standing structures that pulsated, and she saw that they walked on ground, and did not aimlessly float. Then looked she at Xaiorilbh, and smil’d, for he had been the progenitor of this vison. Then Xaiorilbh rose again, and with the following words was formed the two Fundamental Emotions : truth and falseness.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

He spoke, “Oh, dear Children, lovely U’nur, as thou all canst see, the Nothing hast answer’d thine calls. This is a prison, where thy greatest foe shalt be kept, and, from the confines of which, shalt ne’er escape again.”

And the name of Nai’al was raised by unanimous vote, and the U’nur rejoiced at his passing into the prison. But Mother Sleacirion cursed Xaiorilbh for banishing one of her Children unto confinement, and rose in great beauty, and called upon the power of the Great Dark, and passed unto the prison whence her child was kept. To the amazement of the U’nur, the colorless sphere-like prison took upon strange hues and beatiful tints, the likes of which were unnanmed and unseen. This sphere, named after the Mother of All Things, was set in a point in the Nothing, where the U’nur could only watch, but could not influence the goings and doings of their once-brother Nai’al in the prison.

But then the fair U’nur looked upon Xaiorilbh, and found him ridden in depression, which took form in His body, as that of a Being darker than the Nothing, and henceforth, The Shadow of Xaiorilbh. And they recoiled in fear of the dark thing that their conflict had conceived, and saw that its reaching tendrils spared none. Xaiorilbh however, did not care for the death-cries of His beoved U’nur, as His Shadow gouged upon Their divine forms. It is said that their wails echo even today, across the Nothing.

As Xaiorilbh was slowly fading into Nothing, a chance combination of distant elements within Him put within Him a spark of Hope. This Hope reminded Xaiorilbh that Mother Sleacirion could not protect Herself alone, against the looming Shadow, and nurture the new Children of Sleacirion.

Using the Last Hope, Xaiorilbh molded from His own essence, two beings of unfathmable power, whose combin’d might could barely withstand the Shadow. These beings were, in the forgotten language of the U’nur, call’d Kharr’gnurc, the Goodwill, and Uctaaxh’kesz, the Nightmare.

Of these, Kharr’gnurc was the final manifestation of Xaiorilbh’s First Light - The very goodness and hope found in every part of Xaiorilbh, and in Uctaaxh’kesz was the necessity of fear and loyalty, required to vigilantly battle the Shadow. These two loved each other beyond duty, for they were the two sides of the same coin.

Upon the Creation of these two entities, Xaiorilbh withdrew from the periphery of Sleacirion, and, having used up all his Emotions, wandered the aimless, floating, neverending Nothing.

Thus began the Coming of the Godwill and the Nightmare, and the Dawn of Men.
