Chapter 15) The city on a desolate world

I’ve pced the city, though the people won’t go out and about until I get some visitors.

Why? Because I want this city to be surreal.

I’ve already surrounded it in a protective bubble, no air would leave once introduced. But I need to introduce air first.

  Here come the vistors now.

Three people in spacesuits approach, they are cautious. I can’t bme them, but they will be surprised.

The moment they pass the unmarked boundary, their comms cut off. They don’t need to worry, for I project working from anywhere onto what they use for communication.

As they walk down the narrow perfect stone paths, they come across a square.

Then, I release the air, pnts, and people.

3000 people awake, then get out of bed to get ready.

Some have breakfast despite not needing to eat, some have coffee, and some just water.

They all take a special medication I made for them.

After they finish these tasks, they all leave.

While they started their routine all at once, the differences in their abodes affected when they left.

They all left in a roughly 5 minute window though.

Something important to note, is that the streets aren’t barren, at least not near the guests.

I don’t have enough people to popute the whole city, so I’ll recycle people and where they go.

The reactions of my guests, are unreadable.

I can’t see their faces through the suits, so I have to poke my outside view into their suits.

One of them, a guy, has a shocked look, a girl has a determined look, and the st one has a neutral look.

I haven’t learned much from that.

They start walking back from the streets, except I py a trick on them.

  I change the yout.

You see, I have connected some walkways to different pces in the city, so now they are in the center.

It’s a park that they are in now, a few fountains here and there, a perfectly round pond. There are perfect pnts here, the grass is green and the trees sway to a subtle and impossible breeze.

As my guests walk around, I hear them commenting on how “perfect” it is. Too perfect they say.

To be fair, there are no leaves on the floor, no stray grass, and no bugs.

Bugs are needed in an environment like this, but I completely forgot about them. Oh well, these pnts don’t need them.

I see one of them take samples of the pnts, water, and buildings.

But I see them confused when the city is fine after removal.

And also when they don’t look, the grass and dirt reappears too.

  Everything back in its pce.

I kind of want to say hello.

So I send myself and a crowd of the collective to the park.

Janessa, Stacy, and Herbert all three adventured into the city.

When they saw life appear, along with oxygen, they all tried to flee.

They got lost, they shouldn’t have. They had navigators, they should have been guided out of the city.

But still, they found themselves in this park.

  Then, it filled with people.
