Chapter 39) The blooming of a few cults

As I continue my work on the planet, I find the little me.

  Something strange is going on.

Little me isn’t on the space station, not even on the home planet.

  Where is he?

Well in the research base on planet… whatever it’s called.

It looks like mars, and I think was called something similar.

I guess it doesn’t really matter.

The base is a lot more crowded than before, and there are more buildings around.

There are also a few underground.

The strangest part is how many people are just wearing googles and clothes outside.

  No other protective gear whatsoever!

  Wouldn’t the sand get everywhere?

  What’s the point of that!

They may be immortal and capable of surviving a vacuum, but that’s gotta be uncomfortable.

Even I don’t like sand in my fur and clothes.

Anyway, Aster is playing a video game while 6 armed guards carefully guard him.

  Huh.

It looks like they’re scared of someone getting the little me, possibly me?

But then why bring him so close to the city? It makes no sense?!?

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Especially with it’s changes, it’d probably make more sense for the to stay on the home planet.

  Do they think I’m there?

That I have a base there?

I move my view to check on whatever is going on at the home planet and find…

  Oh my myself!

  It’s the start of chaos!

Not too much, no nukes and bombs, but…

Well it looks like there are a couple cults.

  How long has it been?!

  Like a day at most?

The one time I’m not actually trying to start a cult and people start some! I mean, it’s not it my name or anything, but it does reference me sort of!

They are chasing after people with fliers and stickers and couple things that look like staplers.

Are they planning to staple people?

They aren’t using it to staple things to trees, so what?

Anyway, I take a look at one of the fliers, and find it’s weird.

It talks about the end of past civilization, a new era of innovation, and a bunch of other stuff.

I mean I guess no death means losing knowledge from generation to generation won’t really happen.

They also mention divine will or something and how this is the reward for reaching astounding heights.

Honestly, I have no idea what I was expecting, but I wasn’t expecting this.

  Wait.

Suddenly a guy falls from the sky to the ground, he faces upward, yet he doesn’t die.

I don’t know why people would test this, what if you happen to be the only mortal and then just happen to throw away your life!

Whatever, nothing too terrible is happening, and some people have a good outlook on this.

Maybe I can also hijack these cults and spread my name far and wide across the world.

  ——————————————————

While I was busy checking on Aster and the situation on the home planet, I also was working more on building up a plant and animal army.

The technology still didn’t work, even after trying a bunch of times!

Guess I have to postpone that again.

Anyway, I started training my bodies in a completely different way than before.

I made several different “tests” for the different groups of life I made.

I had the creatures that ran on 3 or more legs partake in a race.

When they are all doing a specific task, it seems they work better than if they are all doing different tasks.

  Hmm…

Maybe the bleeding of my subconscious allows these tasks to be streamlined in terms of processing power?

Anyway, for my plants, I had them angle towards light sources or dig their roots in the ground, or grow taller.

While they accomplish these tasks far faster than I think other plants would, the problem is reaction.

They are only doing this because it’s their current task, not because they determined it’s the best course of action.

Am I gonna have to build up plant instincts?

That sounds like a massive pain!

Oh, I guess i’ll have to do a similar thing for the animals.

I just want to mess around with this and make interesting ecosystems from stem-immortal life!

Why does this have to involve training?!

I briefly thought of projecting functions as a plant should, but when I did that they stopped syncing.

I actually felt my pull into them shrink.

Not that the amount of me in them was less, but more like the plant was constraining the communication between the pieces of me.

I also didn’t want to do something similar with the plants, I don’t want to accidentally create a bunch of sentient beings!

If I did, would I be a father?

I don’t wish to become a father until I am much much older, if at all.

500 seems like a good age.

Only if I find someone else to date by then.

I think I’m gonna have the training me’s take a nap, while I work on my idea for controlling the planet.
