This is the story of me and how I became a god.

  I was just minding my business in my room, watching some youtube and listening to some asmr.

  My sister was busy taking our dog Carson to the vet, and my parents were out at a barbecue with some family friends.

  While sitting here, I got a bit thirsty, so I went downstairs to get a cup of water, marveling at the new fridge that had a water dispenser. My dad had refused to buy a new fridge, that one was perfectly fine, that was until all of the food expired when it broke. So we had gotten a new one, and replaced the microwave, washing machines, and the stove while we were at it.

  After filling up my glass, I went upstairs, and switched to watching some more intellectual videos (videos where someone is explaining something very complicated, but it’s asmr).

  As I was sipping my cup of water and ice, suddenly a very loud crashing sound came from the ceiling.

  I only had enough time to look up and see a something, before I was crushed into a gooey mush.

  You want to know what specifically crushed me? A truck, it’s like the familiar isekai trope of truck-kun, only I was on the second story and it came from the sky.

  Suddenly i’m somewhere purple, black, and blue, the same color palette as space, but it’s more swirling, like water colors in a painting.

  There is a single sticky-note floating in this space, it says “Sorry for killing you, my bad! As an apology feel free to reincarnate as whatever, I don’t really care. Also I can’t be there to personally say sorry, so sorry again!”

  It also has a “-” and then what I assume is a name, but it is incomprehensible, so I don’t know what to make of it.

  “Hmmmm… how do I reincarnate?” I say to myself, which prompts a keyboard and screen to appear before me.

  The screen asks if I want to be reincarnated, and if yes then press y, if no then n.

  I press y

  Then it asks me If i want to be born in a new life, or just appear.

  I choose born.

  Then it asks me what I want to be, and I mean to type in dog, and because I’m eager to get through this, I press enter before realizing what I have done.

  Then I get the following things on the screen:

  Being accepted

  Error, being’s classification conflicts with previous choice, searching for resolution

  Alternate path available, hidden divinity.

  Hidden divinity selected

  Please choose a hidden divinity species(Hidden divinity requires a humanoid creature as the selection, type “help” for options):

  Huh, this is strange I think

  So a god is my classification, and I need a species.

  This is easy.

  I type in wolf beastkin, because its almost a dog, and it needs to be humanoid. Also a dog beastkin would have to be particularly bred, likely having lived alongside humans as slaves, so that’s a no-go.

  The screen says species accepted.

  Then it says “Wait for reincarnation in 3… 2… 1…”
