"Soooooo," Mina said, her eyes and her voice avoiding the topic of Raven's questionable outfit. "What scene in my semi-illustrious career are we using as an audition?"

  Like he was a Legal Eagle attorney, Artie Decor thrusted his finger so close to Mina's face she could see his entire fingerprint. "The scene that's a guaranteed showstopper, baby, and will melt the heart of all viewers. Not like in the Ark of the Sacrament in Mauruders of the Missing Map, but like they just saw a cute baby cuddling with a pug dog covered in sugar."

  "I hope he's not using those metaphors in his screenplay," Blind Justice remarked wryly. "They're clumsier and more heavy handed than George Pukeus.

  Even Mina was baffled. It has to be something supercute and maybe a bit lovey dovey. "You don't mean..." she gasped. "Eek!"

  Artie grinned and pointed at both Mina and Blind. "Your first meeting. Love at first sight. Well at least for one of you, that is. This is where your heart entered your eyes and also burst from your chest, Mina, like you were some old timey 30's cartoon."

  "Sounds kind of painful," Mina remarked, making sure her eyes and her chest were okay. She quickly clasped her hands together and cooed. "But I am a major sucker for hubba hubba romance and believe me, I was lovestruck as a 1930s cartoon as soon as I saw that tall, dark and handsome man."

  William placed his hands in his pocket and chuckled. "I was too blind to see it, but I should have known right from the start that she hooked me."

  Mina noticed Ashley was looking away with a grimace in her face. Indeed, the young attorney remembered their first meeting too. It wasn't exactly a love meeting. More a 'talk trash about your ex because he betrayed you and also didn't understand who you were as a person' meeting. She wasn't surprised they weren't filming that scene, but she immediately reached out to comfort Ashley. "Don't worry, Ash," she said, hugging the lioness tight. "I love both you and Willy equally. It's not when I fell for you that matters, but that I did!"

  "Thanks, undergrad," Ashley said, still looking a bit tentative until Mina kissed her on the cheek. Then she was all smiles.

  Artie flashed both of them a major thumbs up. "That's the kind of passion and energy I'm looking for in my movie, baby! Now without further ado, let's get this road on the show...er...show on the road!"

  Artie walked up to Blind and placed his hands on the prosecutor's broad shoulders. "It's a good thing you're here, Mr. Justice. Because you will be the perfect stand in for my William "Blind" Justice actor."

  Mina and Ashley both looked at each other and giggled. Blind would be a stand in for himself. It was funny thinking how someone might be able to play him better than himself. Mina placed her hand to her chin, wondering if someone else could outdo her own perky persona.

  "Great..." Blind said, smirking. "I've already told everyone in the DeFunkt case that I was a gifted thespian actor at the academy. I don't consider myself a handsome heart throb with my disfigurement, but I'm honored to take the place of a professional actor for this scene. Now...who will be my first Mi-Mi..."

  "Yoo-hoo!" a familiar squawky voice answered, causing Blind to shudder.

  Besides him, applying lipgloss was Raven dressed as Mina, complete in a long, brunette wig and his tight pink miniskirt outfit.

  Blind let out a deep resigned sigh. "I am thankful that great deity spares my life, but this might just be a fate worse than death..."

  "Relax..." Mina said, covering her face to contain her giggles. "We don't kiss the first time we met. As much as I would have loved that. You just saved my life!"

  Raven dramatically threw his head back, sending his long hair flowing in the wind. "It's a good thing I had all that practice being a damsel in distress when I was mayor! D.I.D. is a perfect addition to my acting resume."

  "Groovy baby!" Artie exclaimed. "Now please, mount the stage. I will summon the actor playing the knife throwing Frenchman from New Jersey!"

  "Waitaminute," Raven exclaimed. "Will we be doing our own stunts?!"

  Artie chuckled and placed his hands in his belt-loops. "Well you did them the first time, baby!"
