As Max and Ken continued to play the game....
Tiffany: (thinking: It's clear to me that Max is the kind of person who can think outside the box. That could prove useful in a fight. However...)
It was to Tiffany's as well as everybody else's knowledge that Max had not chosen this strategy with the idea to confound the enemy. He just figured it would be fun.
Tiffany: (thinking: ... he probably lacks the experience and the cutting-edge mentality to use that well enough in a fight.)
Max: 33!
A large explosion was heard from the screen.
Ken: Make that 39.
Max: Woooh!
Rose: You two are amazing at this!
Julianne: Mmm hmm. (thinking: Other than skateboarding, Max really doesn't put that much effort into anything else. Video games and skateboarding.)
She took a sip of a glass of water she'd poured for herself.
Julianne: (thinking: Nothing takes his attention like those two things.)
Luke himself was almost impressed. To one who would have trouble making even one kill, 39 was absurd, even though it was between two players.
Max: Hey, think we can make it to 50?
Ken: Hmph. Why not?
To explain the deeper details, Warring Dimensia 2 was a game played by normal people. No bots.
If one lost connection for too long, that was it. Game over.
Simply put, because all players were different people from different walks of life, each player was an unpredictable beast with something of a litany of skills.

That being said, while some strats remained the same, as people would copy each other all the time or watch the same guides, some things were predictable.
However, while that was true, there was always a pretty good chance that one would react pretty unpredictably, to say nothing of the differences in experience being completely different.
Is the player a novice, or an expert, or worse, a non orthodox dark horse?
All that was a mystery.
That being said, ...
Max: 43!
Ken: Hmph.
They were both at less than 50% health.
... with all that into consideration, ...
Max: And 45. Reloading...
Ken: I'll cover you.
Max: Hmph.
... killing even one player... was incredibly difficult.
And that being said...
Ken: Max. 6 o'clock. Move.
Max: Right!
The two player characters ran as bullet fire was heard.
... killing even over 10 was a massive milestone. And so, ...
Max: Sheesh, we can't shake em.
Ken: Mmmm... split.
Max: Hmm.
The pair ran in opposite directions, causing the enemy to have to choose who to chase after.
.... getting 50, even if it was between the both of them.
That would be one for the books.
Ken : He seems confused.
Ken's character was already on the run, keeping his camera on the enemy.
But Max...
A loud gunshot was heard.
Ken: What the!?
Max: Got 'em.
... he had not run that far away, and, seeing the enemy struggle to make a decision... simply went for a headshot.
Max: 46! Wooh!
Ken: Hmm. Good job... (thinking: Always full of surprises.)
Rose: That was amazing, Max.
Max: Yeah. I know, right.
Luke: No kidding. (thinking: These two make it look easy.)
Tiffany: (thinking: All things being said, Max is a truly unpredictable opponent.) Yeah...
Max: Only four more to go.
Ken: Hmph.
Julianne: Anyone want some more cheese cake.
Luke: I'll have some.
Julianne: Ok.
Rose: Oh... me too!
And as for Tiffany, she simply remained silent.
She was glad. This time, she didn't have to deal with that.
As for Max and Ken, they were too locked in to want cake.
Max: I'm good.
Ken: Ditto.
Julianne: Ok.
And the two teens placed all of their focus onto the game screen.
There is a slang term.
Aura.
Some say it's just a feeling. Others call it a vibe.
Some may even say it's as deep as something spiritual.
And of that, many could personally agree.
There is an odd thing. One that many people can attest to having felt at some point.
That feeling that somebody was something.
That feeling in the air.
Like you know that person is like this or like that without even hearing a conversation.
"Oh, he's rich."
"Oh, he's fierce."
"Him? No one should ever mess with him."
That odd feeling as though you just know that something is going on without having even known a thing... or having heard a word about this person.
Almost as though the feeling itself spoke.
Almost as though the spirit itself spoke.
Words without words, one could call it.
And that very phenomenon occurred here.
Without saying a word, without so much as a single motion...
Max and Ken sent a message to the rest of the team as well as to the mother.
"Do not say a word."
The pair had completely and utterly locked in.
And no one watching was going to, or even willing to stop them.
The result?
Other than the sounds of the game being played, the room fell to a deathly silence.
And the battle raged on.
