Elegant and refreshing under the night sky

Elegant and refreshing under the night sky

  Kazuhiko Aoki.

He had just finished a social engagement and was walking out of the restaurant with several people, shaking hands to bid farewell. His smile was always faint, almost imperceptible, but from Su Ye's angle, she could see that his lips were slightly raised, the curve perfectly controlled, polite yet distant. His outfit today was simple yet not ordinary, a crisp white shirt, tie neatly tied, paired with ash-gray trousers, looking elegant and refreshing under the initial night lights.

She had rarely seen him wear light colors, but even from a distance, it wasn't hard to imagine how comfortable the clothes looked on him, even on a night that was already starting to get hot and humid. She had once worn his overcoat, and the soft, warm texture of the fabric had left a lasting impression on her. It was Scabal fabric, a brand that was always considered the most luxurious supplier of men's clothing, with its unparalleled quality in wool, cashmere, silk, or vicu?a. And Yan Baiyi, this man who pursued perfection in his work, would naturally also pursue quality in his life - someone like him would never allow himself to lose out on taste.

The small talk didn't last long, as Yan Bo's car arrived at the entrance. He didn't seem drunk either, his eyes were still sharp and wise as usual. After shaking hands with everyone again, he got into the car.

Su Ye sat in her Jeep, watching Yan Bo's car drive further and further away. On such a night, she inadvertently caught sight of him, but he seemed to have never noticed her at all.

She rubbed her face hard with her hand, only to find that her whole face was a bit numb. When she looked up again, the car had already disappeared from view. Su Ye rested her arm on the steering wheel, her gaze still fixed in place, perhaps because the night was too hazy, or perhaps it was because she had run into an acquaintance in this vast city and her heart was racing a little. She had forgotten that there were still two minutes until their agreed-upon meeting time.

When that Bentley Continental GT Speed, which had been fighting its way through the blood-soaked road, whizzed past her side, she finally regained her senses, glanced at the time and cried out in dismay. Just as she was about to start the engine, Ji Dongyan made a perfect drift, and the dazzling convertible suddenly stopped not far away, perfectly blocking her path.

In the convertible, Ji Dongyan laughed a bit recklessly, his entire body leaning lazily against the car door, waving at her through the windshield, "Baby, as the saying goes, whoever laughs last is the winner. I've been suppressed by you all along, do you think I'm making a comeback now?"

Su Ye glanced at her watch and then stuck her head out of the car window, "There's still one and a half minutes left."

"What's the difference?" Ji Dongyan said with a smiling face, "You're going to spend the rest of your life with me, having this little bit more isn't too much, and not having it isn't too little either."

"Get out of the way." She raised her head, her tone neither high nor low, her speech neither fast nor slow.

"I'm not so unbearable that you'd feel humiliated following me, right? Are you really planning on going down with the ship?" Ji Dongyan's smile always carried a hint of malice.

"Say it one last time, let go."

  "Just give up on me."

Su Ye didn't waste any more words with him this time, turned her head back, and immediately started the engine. The friction between the wheels and the road produced a deafening roar, just like her mood at that moment. She narrowed her eyes, stepped on the accelerator, and the red Jeep was like an unbridled wild horse, rushing towards the shiny Bentley.

Ji Dongyan was suddenly stunned, but his body had already activated its self-protection mechanism. He quickly started the car and violently steered it to the side of the road. The next second, Su Ye's Jeep sped past from where he originally was, and if he had reacted a second later, they would have crashed and killed each other.

"Alright then, if you want to chase me, first work on growing some guts."

In the distance, that red Jeep stood out like a ball of fire, even when caught in traffic it was visible at a glance. A woman's arm stretched out of the window, clenched fist with thumb up, but quickly reversed, thumb down.

Ji Dongyan saw this gesture of applause clearly, with a face that couldn't help but laugh and cry, "Crazy girl."
