Chapter 1
Prologue
All Moon could remember was the scream of his parents, his village, and red. He was just a cub; he didn’t know what was going on or what journey he was about to embark on. He couldn’t have. Whether he knew it or not he didn’t have a choice; fate takes its own path.
A mother grabbed her cub in her jaws. The cub was well kept, with white and black fur on his back and stomach. As well as sapphire blue front legs. The mother swiftly sprinted out the den door, leaving her mate behind. The cub looked back at his father with sorrowful blue eyes, which were the same shade as his front legs. The father was snarling at a yellow and black wolf, trying to buy him and the mother time to escape. The yellow wolf tackled the father, getting a clean bite to the neck. The cub looked away in terror as his mother ran away in tears. The mother ran through the panic-filled village, dodging other wolves, burning patches of grass, and other various hazards caused by panic among the village. She felt as if she had been running for hours but, in reality it was only a few minutes, then they stopped, she clumsily slammed her body against a wall inside a small den. Soon, the mother’s cub began to whimper with fear and confusion. “Quiet Moon.” The mother said. “Find him, and the mother, I want them dead.” The voice came from above them. Moon had never heard such a low voice before. He could have sworn that he heard another, deeper voice overlaying the original. The mother soon heard footsteps above them, this was relieving, she might be able to escape soon. But despite her best efforts, Moon was scared and started to whine, it was quiet but not quiet enough. Then she heard the footsteps stop, and then a deep growl. For a couple of seconds there was silence, then a huge black and red wolf crashed onto his paws in front of them growling fiercely. He stood around eight feet tall, towering over the mother by at least four feet. His fur was a combination of black and bright red, with the red shining on the tips of his ears, tail, the bottom of his muzzle, and most of his legs. The wolf stood there for a second, aiming to instill fear into the mother by staring at her with piercing red eyes that almost seemed to glow. Moon yelped as the big wolf grabbed his mother and threw her behind him. She tucked her chin to try and protect Moon from the hard impact, she crashed onto the ground, breaking bones. A sharp pain shot up through her leg. Moon had been slung into a pile of leaves as the mother was forced to release him. The red wolf pinned the mother’s head down with his paw, which was the size of her head. “Give...me...the cub!” The big wolf said, bearing his paw into the mother’s head a little more with each word. Moon had a big destiny, bigger than anyone could ever imagine, and his destiny was to contain this wolf within his body forever, in order to save this vast universe. Moon had to go with the wolf, fate wanted it this way, and his mother knew this, but she was too filled with anguish. “NEVER!” She screamed. The big wolf put slight weight onto the paw which was holding the mother down. She shrieked raspily. “Last chance.” The big wolf said mockingly. “NO!” The mother screamed with less strength than before. The big wolf rolled his eyes. “Listen woman, you have about five seconds to tell me where that cub is, otherwise your skull is going in the dirt.”

“Only over my dead body.” she said with the last of her strength. “Fine ...have it your way.” The big wolf leaned ever so slightly. The mother screamed, but it was cut short by her skull giving way and spreading gray-matter on the ground below her. The big wolf then looked around, he easily saw the white fur on Moon, who had tried to hide in a pile of leaves, but miserably failed. “Come here you stupid cub.” He said moving to him. The big wolf then picked up Moon and started to carry him away, but Moon’s legs began to glow a sapphire blue, and in a blinding flash of light, The big wolf was contained, and would stay there forever ...hopefully.
