Hello all! With the epilogue out, that is the last chapter of book one, and I’m incredibly happy to have you all here with me after such a long journey!
That being said, there will be a one month long break before the start of book two, as I DESPERATELY need to rewrite book one (Beacon is my first story and I was very inexperienced in the early chapters), and there are a few other things I’ve been putting off that need to be done before doing the re-release (such as setting up my discord fully and getting a few more tiers to Patreon).
When I finish with the rewrite (about May 25th), I will also NOT be releasing it here nor editing the existing chapters- where you’re currently reading this announcement will be a Legacy story and remain untouched. Instead, I’ll just release Beacon from Beyond again and mark it as a rewrite for a few reasons.
First is that I intend to add some chapters near the start, such as Fou perspectives that people asked for a lot. Second is that I REAAAALLLLY want to get on rising stars but that only happens to newer stories. Because Beacon from Beyond is more than a month old, it is not possible for me to ever get on Rising Stars. Suffice to say, I was pretty shocked when I found out that it was possible to just release the same story again if you make enough changes

When the re-release comes out, I would also greatly appreciate any sort of ratings and reviews to help me get more exposure. If you think my story is worth 5 stars, then I’d love it if you rated it 5 stars the moment the re-release dropped!
If you think it’s less than that, I won’t ask you to rate me 5 stars anyway, but perhaps delay your rating for a couple of days please ?? my story only has about 850 followers, so it’s rather unknown on Royal Road. Getting onto Rising Stars would be a big leap forward in potentially becoming a full time writer.
I really hope you all have enjoyed the story so far as much as I’ve loved writing it!
Oh and those of you that are still interested in The Ill Dead, I haven’t forgotten about the story! I’ve just been very busy working on the rewrite so I haven’t had time to spend on any extra projects. After the rewrite is out, I intend to try and go for once a week releases for that story.
