Hunting the Demons Journey

A vast and endless forest, lush and verdant, stretching for thousands of miles.

Mo Tian Ge stood on the high cliff, silently watching. This was the southern end of the Kunwu Mountains, adjacent to a part of the forest. Countless demonic beasts lived here, some were tamed by cultivators and became spiritual beasts, while most roamed freely in this forest, living, cultivating, and transforming. It was said that deep within the forest, near the sea, many transformed demonic beasts lived, they generally wouldn't leave the forest, but every now and then, unable to bear it, they would drive low-level demonic beasts to attack the areas where human cultivators resided.

Of course, in general, they are not going to grab them, but often come once, they can get a lot of elixir to help practice, so they are happy.

Every time it comes to this point, it's a gamble. Sometimes the human cultivators suffer heavy losses, and sometimes they gain a lot of good demon beast corpses as materials for refining equipment.

This kind of thing, Mo Tian Ge had never encountered before. She was just a low-ranking little cultivator who came to Kun Wu only ten years ago, and the last time she resisted the demon beast was at least fifty or sixty years ago.

Standing with her on this high cliff were a Nascent Soul cultivator, over ten Foundation Building cultivators, and several hundred Qi Refining cultivators.

The consequences of the Zixia Sect's annexation of the Yunwu Sect are already apparent. Last time, during the small competition, there were over 400 disciples from the Yunwu Sect above the seventh layer, but now, there might be less than 300, or even fewer. Among these cultivators, Mo Tian Ge didn't see several familiar figures. Zhou Shixiong didn't come because with his cultivation at the eleventh layer of Qi Refining, he would have definitely received a Foundation Establishment Pill. Since their sect had just suffered a great calamity, and he didn't want to draw attention to himself, he simply didn't participate. Wang Qianyi and Shen Bing also didn't come; they had gone to the Zixia Sect's main branch, and it was said that they had already been assigned Foundation Establishment Pills. For this reason, Mo Tian Ge felt slightly better, at least those two weren't unnecessary sacrifices. Murong Yan did come, her complexion pale, her bones thin and gaunt, standing alone in the crowd with no expression on her face; the few parts of beauty she originally had were completely gone. Seeing her like this, Mo Tian Ge sighed inwardly, it was better this way, at least she wouldn't follow in Wang Qianyi and Shen Bing's footsteps.

Before long, another group of people flew in from the horizon and landed on this flat cliff. They were disciples of the Golden Blade Sect, who, like the Cloud Mist Sect, had not changed their clothes but added the emblem of the Purple Mist Sect. At a rough glance, there were only about a hundred Golden Blade Sect disciples, apparently also having undergone a purge, with everyone's face bearing an expression as if their souls were not at peace, and yet no one was excited about competing for the Foundation Establishment Pill, it could be seen that they had witnessed even more tragic things than the Cloud Mist Sect disciples.

They were led by a Jiedan cultivator, who was dressed in secular attire as a Taoist. For this reason, Mo Tian Ge looked at him several times. The orthodox cultivators of the Xianxia world, although they cultivate Daoist methods, many people dress up as Taoists, but are different from the secular world. Secular Taoists often wear cyan or deep blue robes with no layers, while the Taoist robes in the Xianxia world have undergone beautification, with deep clothes, cross-collared robes, and cloud-patterned cloaks, layered with pre-heavenly trigrams and Taiji clouds, and distinguished by color. This makes them look elegant and dignified, yet not lacking in grandeur, and even more so compared to secular Taoists, they appear to have a noble and refined demeanor. Therefore, they rarely wear secular Taoist robes, only because it doesn't show the temperament of Xianxia cultivators. The Taoist in front of him was clearly a Jiedan cultivator, but he didn't mind wearing such clothes at all, showing that he was a person with a firm Dao heart.

As soon as he arrived, the current master of Yunwu Mountain Jiang Miao warmly greeted him: "Lin Shixiong, it's been a long time since we last met."

The man didn't give him any face and merely hummed softly before closing his eyes to meditate.

Jiang Mai was left with nothing to say, his face somewhat embarrassed.

Mo Tian Ge saw that the disciples of Yun Wu Pai had a hint of secret pleasure on their faces, such as Xu Jing Zhi. Jiang Shang Hang, however, had a dark and annoyed expression, seemingly quite displeased with what his seniors were doing. He glared at a cultivator standing beside Jiang Miao Zhu, a look of hatred flashing across his face, and Mo Tian Ge discovered that the person was none other than Jiang Cheng Xian, the Jiang family disciple who had once bullied him. This Jiang Cheng Xian seemed to be Jiang Miao Zhu's direct junior, always following by his side, with a smug expression on his face.

Although not close to Jiang Shanghang, seeing this scene, he also looked down on Jiang Chengxian a few points. A spoiled son who relied on his blood lineage and did whatever he wanted, neither focusing on cultivation nor having real talent or learning, no wonder Jiang Shanghang didn't get along with him.

After a while, another group of people flew in from the horizon, with a much larger number than the two factions combined. They were indeed disciples of the Purple Mist Sect.

The leader of the Zixia Sect was quite amiable, but he was also somewhat indifferent to Jiang Miao's master, and extremely polite to that Taoist.

The three of them chatted for a while, then each used their magical treasures. In an instant, a teleportation array appeared out of thin air. It seems that this is the same technique as the one in Misty Valley, and it's likely that they had practiced it with their disciples before.

"Disciples, come in one by one, no pushing!"

Having gone through the sect's misfortune, the original Yunwu and Jindao disciples were naturally calm and quiet, while the Zixia Sect disciples were beaming with joy, rushing to the front, the other two sects' disciples didn't mind, just waiting.

Moyan Song looked around, several fellow disciples by her side, Liu Yidao eager to try, Xu Jingzhi with a calm face, Qin Xi still with an expression of stability, Jiang Shanghang frowning. She touched her own face, feeling a bit stiff, and slowed down her breathing, adjusting her mood.

She still has to get the foundation-building pill, and in the future if she can't stand the way Zi Xia Sect does things, she'll find an excuse to leave the mountain and then not come back. Zi Xia Sect won't have time to bother with a low-ranking disciple like her. And before that, it's best if she can obtain the foundation-building pill within the sect; otherwise, she'll only be able to cultivate her Qi, and Second Uncle's lifespan is almost up, so she doesn't dare leave casually.

His mind was a jumble of thoughts, but he noticed that Xu Jingzhi, who was closest to her, seemed to be trembling. Mo Tian Ge called out in a low voice, "Xu Shixiong?"

Xu Jingzhi turned his head, his face pale and sweaty, his voice trembling: "Huh?"

"Hey, you'd better not fall before we even get in."

Hearing her say this, Xujingzhi hastily wiped away his sweat and pretended nothing was wrong: "Young Master Ye needn't worry."

"I'm worried and also worried that it won't come," said Mo Tian Ge, "You must lift your spirits, this forest is very dangerous, and we can't travel together."

Xu Jingzhi nodded, and after a while, he seemed to still be uneasy. He said in a low voice, "Ye Shidi, I'm really worried. Our three factions have already formed grudges against each other, and now we're putting them together in the forest. Won't there be some conflict?"

  Song of the Stranger: "Why?"

Xu Jingzhi fell silent for a moment, then suddenly gritted his teeth and said: "If I were to meet Jiang Chengxian again, if I could do it cleanly, I would..."

His expression flashed with a fierce glint, and he knew what it meant. Mo Tian Ge was startled, turned his head to look around, and found that no one had noticed them, so he put his mind at ease, saying in a low voice: "Brother Xu, you must not speak nonsense, you are too tense."

Xu Jingzhi closed his eyes and nodded, wiping the sweat from his face: "Ye Shidi is right." After that, he just closed his eyes to meditate, regulating his breath and calming his mind.

Moy Tian Ge thought for a moment, then pulled out an object from his bosom and handed it to him: "Xu Shixiong, this is a calming talisman. If you can't control yourself, just stick it on your body."

Xu Jingzhi opened his eyes, didn't say much, put away the token and said: "Thank you, Young Master Ye."

A smile from the stranger in the sky, no more words were needed, gazing at that transmission array.

At this moment, the disciples of Zixia Sect had almost all left. She calmed herself and stepped towards the transmission array.
