Lizzy says "So, you are back!"

  "Yes, I am. Why?"

  Lizzy says "I heard you ran off without me again!"

  "I snuck into a god's realm. It wasn't somewhere that I could take you."

  Lizzy says "Why didn't you tell me about it?"

  "Sorry, I forgot. I was arguing with Seronia and Myria. They didn't want me to go. They thought that it was too dangerous."

  Lizzy says "Was it?"

  "Nope. I had no problems at all and I killed hundreds of angels. It was actually really fun!"

  Lizzy says "That's good. I'm bored! Is there anything for me to do?"

  "Well, I am about to order Leonarr to send troops into the empire to hunt bandits. You could join them."

  Lizzy says "Humans are boring! Anything else?"

  "Well, I promised Myria that she could lead a group into the land bridge and see what demons are really like."

  Lizzy says "Yeah! I want to go! The land bridge was really fun!"

  "Good. Can you act as Myria's mount and keep her safe for me?"

  Lizzy says "Sure!"

  "Perfect! She is on her way back now so you should be leaving in a couple of days."

  Lizzy says "Okay, I will be ready!"

  Lizzy leaves after that and as she does Leonarr finally come in to report. I listen carefully to the report just to make sure that it matches with what Muyaun told me. Leonarr's report is much more detailed, but it still matches with what Muyaun told me.

  "How are the troops? Are they tired, or do you think they want some more action?"

  Leonarr says "The troops are great! Morale is higher than I have ever seen before. They definitely would want some more action."

  "Good. You should be aware of all the bandit activity in the empire right now, right?"

  Leonarr says "Of course."

  "Muyaun will be providing you with their movements. I want you to send groups to wipe them out."

  Leonarr says "That won't be a problem. Any special instructions?"

  "Free anyone they are holding captive. Oh, also check the loot they have collected. Most of it probably won't be useful, but some might be. This operation is costing us a lot, may as well recoup what we can."

  Leonarr says "Understood. Anything else?"

  "Muyaun says we are rescuing a lot of human refugees. Make sure we don't save more than we can support."

  Leonarr says "We had a lot of problems with the logistics at the start, but we slowly figured them out. We are a lot better at those kinds of things now that we have had some practice. In order for us to continue gaining experience, I would ask that you let us continue as we are."

  "Alright. In that case, go ahead and keep at it."

  Leonarr says "Thank you, My King. Do you have any other orders for me?"

  "Actually, yes. If there are any areas where taking some land from the empire would make it easier to defend, then go ahead and take it. The empire is in no condition to notice right now and I want our defenses as solid as possible. There is a good chance that we will need to move troops to the land bridge before long and I don't want to have to weaken our defenses to do so."

  Leonarr says "Understood! I will take care of it!"

  "Oh, Myria will be taking a group down there to do some scouting. Make sure that someone in her group is skilled at surveying and mapping. I want to be able to plan out defensive locations to build."

  Leonarr says "No problem, I know just the man for the job."

  "Good. Also, have some people start checking out the nobles of the empire whose lands are on the border. Those that are decent people, invite to join us. Don't force anyone though."

  Leonarr says "Alright. Can I ask why?"

  "We are not going to invade the empire yet, I want to finish unifying the beastmen first. However, that doesn't mean that we can't start laying the groundwork now."

  Leonarr says "I understand. I don't have those kinds of skills, but I will pass on your orders."

  "Good enough. Alright, that's all for now."

  Leonarr bows and says "Yes, Your Majesty!"

  Leonarr leaves and I sit and think about what other plans I want to put in motion. After thinking for a while, I summon some messengers and send them out with orders. It isn't anything major, just laying more groundwork for future plans.

  Once that is done, I realize that I have nothing else that I need to do at the moment. Until Myria gets back, I am free, so I head to the castle and check in with Jarvis. After catching up with Jarvis and making sure that everything is working properly, I head to my workshop.

  The first thing I do is take out all the beast materials and sort through them. I end up having to create some more shelves to hold them all, but I want space in my pouch. I don't plan to start crafting anything yet, I just want to get everything organized.

  Besides, I need to experiment with the new ore to figure out its properties before I do anything else. After all, I need to know what it is best at before I can figure out what I am going to use it for. I also need to figure out what alloys I can turn the ore into and what uses they have.

  All in all, it is going to take quite a bit of experimenting and it should be fun. However, that is still not what I need to do next, I need to see about evolving first. Then I will be able to send the angel cores I don't use to Seronia so she can start raising them.

  'Core unstable? What on earth is that supposed to mean? Wait, could it be because I still have a mix of fire and lightning? Maybe I need to finish switching to just lightning and then try again.'

  Since that is the only thing that I can think of, that is what I will have to do. Until then, since my evolution points are full, I can go ahead and get rid of the angel cores. So, I take one six-wing core and put it aside, then I pile up the rest and make a prayer of offering to Seronia.
