Ch-3 Casuality

  Ch-3 Casuality

‘Hello, Brother’ The voice reverberated in his head. Eryndor dropped the sword and jumped back. ‘Who the hell was that?’ Eryndor asked.

Vulcan picked up the sword and handed it back to Eryndor. ‘Talk with her, make sure it chooses you.’ He spoke as he handed back the sword to Eryndor.

The sword it was alive. A whole lot of thoughts filled Eryndor’s mind as he took back the sword.

‘You idiot, and why the hell did you drop me?’ The voice once more reverberated in Eryndor’s mind. ‘I was shocked.’ Spoke Eryndor trying to calm her down. He was still scared and didn’t know what to do, but the voice was aggressive and didn’t stop talking.

‘Brother, why are you shocked?’ The voice inquired.

Eryndor had a lot of questions that he wanted to ask the voice. ‘Why are you calling me “Brother”? And who are you?’ Eryndor forced these questions out of his mouth.

‘I am your sister, @@#$##@ Greythrone.’ The voice tried spoke but the name wasn’t clear, something was fishy.

‘Okay so you are my sister right, can you repeat your name?’ Spoke Eryndor.

‘@#@@$$#’ Once more the voice wasn’t clear a high pitched noise is all that Eryndor heard in his mind.

‘Sister I can’t hear your name.’ Eryndor spoke aloud.

‘It must be the, Casuality.’ Vulcan chimed in.

Eryndor looked towards Vulcan in confusion. Vulcan sighed and began explaining the law of casuality.

Vulcan told Eryndor, The law of casuality just says that a person or soul cannot perform task that go against the natural order or fate predetermined by the gods, and if any such task is performed then there will be further restriction imposed on the individual. In this case, whenever a soul posses a sword to turn it into an ego sword, the soul cannot retain its memories. But if in a way those memories still remain in the soul after being combined with the sword, they cannot share any information with the wielder of sword until they know atleast some information topic being shared.

‘If you still don’t understand, let me give you an example.’ Spoke Vulcan.

Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.

‘Let’s take for an example. A sword master’s soul enters a sword with its memories intact. The sword master won’t be able to help a novice become a sword master, but he can definitely lift a sword expert to sword master or grandmaster rank.’ Explained Vulcan.

‘Okaay. So, Vulcan do you know anything about the soul in the sword.’ He spoke and before Vulcan could answer his question he dropped another one. ‘Vulcan before you tell me about the ego of this sword. Isn’t it illegal to put living souls into weapon.’

Vulcan nodded. ‘Then why in the Ishvaya’s name is a there a soul in your sword.’ Eryndor spoke

‘It is illegal to PUT a soul in a sword, but it isn’t illegal if a soul POSSESES the sword on its own.’ Spoke Vulcan clarifying the doubts Eryndor had. Eryndor just stood there flabbergasted, while Vulcan was quite angry about the question Eryndor had asked him.

‘And no I don’t know much about the soul in the sword.’ Spoke grabbing a bottle from the nearby cabinet.

Vulcan gulped down half the bottle in second. His face was flushed and his body was losing balance as he began walking back to the table.

Eryndor wrapped the velvet around the sword once more and followed behind the drunk dwarf. Vulcan sat down on the chair and gestured for Eryndor to do the same.

He followed the command and sat down, the atmosphere changed suddenly. All the lights were gone and everything shrouded in darkness, the only things visible were the table, and Vulcan sitting on the chair and his bright blue eyes. And a girl standing beside him, he couldn’t make out her

‘Eryndor, Welcome to the dark space. Please take at yourself.’ Spoke Vulcan.

Eryndor turned his attention from the faceless girl and looked down, his legs were detached from his body, his hand were only half there. His entire body was in gas like state, where it could disappear at any moment.

Eryndor tried speaking, no word came out of his mouth. He put his gaseous hand on his mouth, or at least where it should have been. His mouth wasn’t there, he panicked he was screaming, but no breath left his body.

He began fading away. The shadows retreated immediately, everything returned to its place. And Eryndor was back in his body.

He looked at Vulcan. Vulcan was just sitting and casually sipping on the alcohol Eryndor had given him, it was like nothing had happened to him.

‘What in the Trinity’s name was that?’ Asked Eryndor.

‘It was current state of the souls present here.’ Vulcan spoke calmly.

‘YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN ME A HEADS UP.’ Eryndor spoke calmly.

‘Your soul was gaseous, but had your shape. While mine was a spitting image of myself.’ Spoke Vulcan. ‘Do you know what that means, though your soul is incomplete, but it is still tightly bound to your body and--’

‘It could only be done by the best of the soul mage out there.’ Eryndor interrupted Vulcan, Vulcan nodded.

‘Eryndor, how do you also have some part of foreign soul in your body’ Asked Vulcan.

Eryndor just shrugged, he didn’t know the answer.

‘Did anything extraordinary happen recently?’ Asked Vulcan.

Eryndor thought for a moment and immediately replied. ‘Yup! Recently on my Fifth Birthday, some wolves mauled me to death.’ Eryndor spoke nonchalantly.

Vulcan dropped his bottle. ‘Fifth Birthday? Mauled to death? You joking right?’

‘Nope.’ Spoke the 6’1 blonde man with muscles all over his body, and looking clearly alive.

Vulcan sighed and began laughing. ‘You tell pretty good jokes, Eryndor.’

‘Let me take a look.’ Spoke Vulcan as his eyes turned bright blue.

‘Just say that once again.’ Spoke Vulcan. Eryndor repeated. Vulcan was shocked. “It looks like you are not lying, but I don’t trust that it’s the truth.’

‘It’s the truth.’ Spoke Eryndor. ‘I remember it clear as day, So let me tell you how it happened.’

‘It was a dark gloomy night---‘
