Can move, loosen, compact, and shape up to 10 cubic centimeters of earth. Range: 1 meter.

Stats. It's the first thing I check as soon as I enter my room. They're completely mediocre for a Level 1. At least for one that would be worth playing. The protagonist had the maximum intelligence value you can be born with (a ten) and a wisdom score of nine.

And before you ask: the average in this world isn't five—it’s three. That means Bianca isn't doing too bad; she’s fairly healthy and has a decent mana pool, with sixes in both constitution and wisdom.

Still... I can't help feeling disappointed. And on top of that, I have Earth magic, which doesn't appeal to me at all. In games, I always went for apocalyptic firestorms or icy novas.

My only hope is that this has changed now that my soul inhabits this body. I seriously doubt I can sneak away from the countryside estate to the capital to check the status slab. Anyway, in the game, they assess your stats before the practical magic exam.

I spend the rest of my day fake-napping, courtesy of Layla's endless tea supply. The next morning, I set out for the countryside estate by carriage. Accompanying me are a driver, a maid, and a pair of guards.

The journey lasts nearly until sunset. Along the way, I chat with Berta—the young woman who's apparently been my personal maid for years—trying to learn everything I can about Bianca.

When we arrive, the name of the place, Hosca, feels familiar. It isn't until I step out of the carriage that I realize why: this is where a future event from the game takes place. A new beginner's dungeon is discovered here. The reward for the first party to clear it is what I would call sweet loot.

  A smile crosses my face.

I think I've just figured out how to pass the exam. I'll score high on the practical part to offset the disaster the theoretical one is bound to be. Exactly the opposite of what I bet Bianca did.
