Author. Okay, okay. I suppose I just have to deliver a long monologue.
So, Peter the Earth Demon. Where does that thing come from ? Short version, I was bored and writing is killing boredom. Long version, well, there is not a lot more. I started as a reader on Royal Road, two years ago because my workload at work was almost negative at that moment. I read a couple of stories, and, after sometime, and wanting to try to do something out of my life I decided to write stories. My writer level is approximately bad if not terrible if I refer to my old school grades but I can't improve without working on it. So I'll play along sending chapter after chapter on Royal Road.

Why specifically a story about demons in Hell ? The name came before the story. I was thinking about more or less anything and a thought hit me. In my native tongue, french, Peter is the same word as Stone and the title in french has a rhyme "Pierre le démon de la Terre". From there, I stared to think about a universe, rules, and stuff like that. I opened a g doc and started to write.
How do I write ? Well, for the first Arc, I really let my imagination go wild and let my hand type my ideas. I only had 3 characters at start, Peter, Tianne and Lucas (plus the reaper but she is a function character at that point). Sophie and Edgar appeared for the council chapter and I decided to kill Edgar when I wrote chapter 8 (not my best one if I correctly interpret those stats). And you can remark the concept of Primordial evolved between chapters as I was defining the power system. For the next arc, I'm trying a little more planification. I'm still letting characters do whatever I think they want but they have more background that what I went with when I wrote Sophie and Edgar.
What now ? Well, that's simple. As long as I have a bunch of readers, I will try to finish that story. I do have a view of the ending, I also know it won't take forever to go there. Peter became a council member and he will have to manage the safety of the town with a bunch of demons that are not happy. On my side, I should try to find some advice on the royal road forum. Maybe I can find some tips there.
