Chapter six : SORCERY TIME

The three of them walked really really far away, a journey that almost took two hours. Agnes led them into a wide plain land, with few trees and boulders everywhere, about twenty times the size of a football field. The trees were huge tall and beautiful, with a few fruit trees around, the ground was filled with vibrant colored grasses and a few flowers, it was a perfect depiction of a natural garden. They arrived at the center, admiring the scenery. Moses was panting heavily.

“Oh my goodness. I think I'm gonna die” Moses said as he fell on his back to the ground. Dave was also panting, his hands on his knees.

“How long have you been in Elysia?“ Dave asked.

“Two years” Agnes said, not having any sign of tiredness or needing to rest.

“And you already know the city more than us” Dave joked. “I never knew about the existence of this place”

  Agnes chuckled.

“How long have you been in prison?“ Moses asked, still panting.

  “Two years” Agnes answered.

“So you are twenty years of age”

“You're a smart man” Agnes said while nodding.

“After this, you'll teach me how to make an autopilot spell” Moses said. “Like the one you did back there. How long do they last?“

“As long as I'm alive, the spell keeps going”Agnes answered, staring at the sky as though analysing the environment. “As long as we are all alive, the fake us keep living. I used reality to make us and mind to imitate us”

She clasped her hands together, her eyes turned into bright purple. Her hands turned gold. She waved her hands across the sky and a bright purple-golden shield appeared with an ethereal shimmer, covering the entirety of the plain land and reaching up to the sky. The shield went invisible.

“What did you do?“ Dave asked.

“She cloaked us” Moses answered. “If someone tries to enter they'll be stopped by a logical situation. Also no one can see or hear whatever is going on inside”

  “Practice time” Agnes said.

  “What!!“ The boys exclaimed.

“Let's wait till tomorrow” Moses said.

“You said it yourself that Dave would be dead by tomorrow, we don't have the time and we have no place to sleep so teach him to unlock his powers” Agnes said authoritatively. Staring at the boys like a mother angry at her children.

“Okay, me first” Moses said, standing up and looking at the sky. His eyes turned bright neon-yellow. “Brace yourselves” Slowly, little amounts of wind began to blow, Moses controlling the directions with his hands. The wind got stronger and stronger, lifting up papers and nylons. The wind got wilder blowing the trees and grasses, everywhere got darker as the clouds above them gathered and covered the sun. The clouds began forming a swirl as it came down with the strong wind, howling like a thousand owls. It was a long not so thin tornado, it was huge and dark, lightning flashed and thunder clapped. The wind was getting stronger, almost lifting them off their feet. Agnes hair flapping furiously, her hoodie was almost blown from her head, she had to use her hands to hold it down.

Dave marvelled at the sight, these are the kind of things he loved, action, adrenaline infused moments. But none of his emotions were greater than his shock, Moses had the ability to do something like this and he never had a hint about it. His heart felt betrayed, but he was very happy and understanding, and he didn't mind.

“This is my first time seeing a tornado” He said.

“I think this is the first time any of us will be seeing a tornado, we don't get them in this country” Agnes said.

Agnes and Dave had to cover their faces. Leaves, sand, papers, pebbles, nylons were flying everywhere.

“I don't see how this is supposed to help me learn to use my powers” Dave shouted over the whooshing noise of the wind so Moses could hear.

“Since you have part of the power of the pendant...“ Moses also shouted, his eyes still yellow. “...you should be so much... so much more powerful than all sorcerers on earth combined. So you should be able to stop the tornado using the power, wind and reality part of the supreme”

“How am I supposed to do this? ” Dave asked.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

“Just think and concentrate” Agnes said.

“You didn't think to teach me to use my powers before creating the tornado” Dave said, his eyes fixed on the tornado.

“Oh” Moses said in realization. “My bad”

“First, you need to unlock your energy” Moses said. Holding Dave's hand. “ You need to breathe as slowly as you can, until you feel like you are starting to float”

Dave began breathing slowly, he closed his eyes. At first it seemed like nothing was going to happen, until he heard a soothing rushing noise, like a fast flowing river.

“I'm hearing a noise” Dave said.

“That's good” Moses replied. He placed his hand on Dave's forehead as his hand turned white.

Dave began feeling a floating sensation as if his very soul was leaving his body.

Dave appeared in a pitch black environment, his body floating as though in zero gravity. He wondered at first if he was dead or if he was in space. The six crystals appeared in a circle around him, the six of them orbiting him, along with the elements, shaped like crystals themselves. None of the crystals or elements were glowing, including fire.

“I see the crystals” Dave said. Although he was talking in pitch black space...his body in real life was also speaking.

“Good” Dave hared Moses say, like a loud echo. “Now touch all of them”

Dave hovered towards the first one, the orange time crystal and touched it, it lit up with a shimmering noise. The silver space crystal, the white soul crystal, the purple reality crystal, the cyan mind crystal, the gold power crystal. The wind element with yellow flares of light, the fire element with red flares of light, the water element with blue flares of light, the earth element with green flares of light.

They all began to speed rapidly around him, with the orange time crystal glowing brighter and sharper than the others. In real life Dave began to hover in the air, his clothes flapping in the wind. Moses and Agnes watched in surprise. His eyes had swirls of multicolored light, his whole body glowed multicolored light, his veins glowed of different colors, his hair turning into a divine looking hair, with flares of light around him. His body shimmered in the most divine way, his clothes became gold, diamond and emerald like, glowing in different colors.

  “What the... “ Agnes exclaimed.

“This has never happened before” Moses said. “Look...his eyes are multicolored”

All the crystals and elements that were spinning around Dave started hitting him one by one and disappearing. It remained the Time crystal. As soon as the time crystal hit him. Dave began having rapid visions, terrible visions, things that shouldn't be known and shouldn't be seen.

The entire lives of each of the eight men who own the powers in the pendants. He saw how they were as children...being bullied really badly by some adults. As teens when they all became friends. As adults while they planned redemption. He saw each of them bursting into people's houses and absorbing other people's powers, as two of the sorcerers were having an affair secretly in a dark room. As they gave up their lives in the little hut.

Dave's eyes opened and he fell to the ground, his body immediately stopped glowing. Moses and Agnes rushed towards him. Dave's body was colder than possible, his face was dumbstruck.

  “Are you okay” Moses asked.

“I'm fine” Dave lied. Pretending like nothing had happened, he decided immediately to shake off what he had just seen and continued like nothing happened. It took a lot of mental strength to be able to act normal in a millisecond but Moses could see through his pretense. “I feel so powerful, I can literally feel energy moving through my veins. It's like...it's like I know what the crystals are feeling, I can feel nature”

“Energy unlocking successful” Moses celebrated. “Now that the hard part is over, doing real magic is a piece of cake. Now that you can kinda like.....communicate with the Supreme. Just concentrate on it, concentrate on what you want to do, really think about it and the element or crystal for the job will pick itself” The tornado grew a little bit in size, with more whooshing of the wind.

“Okay” Dave said, preparing himself. “stopping the tornado” He stretched, and did little exercises.

“Oh please, you are doing magic not lifting weights” Agnes said with a roll of her eyes.

“Just concentrate and don't let fear get in the....“ Moses was about to complete when suddenly Dave was wiped off his feet, flung hundreds of meters into the air.

“Dave!!!“ Moses and Agnes exclaimed. Moses eyes immediately stopped glowing out of shock and fear. His hands turned yellow and he used the wind of the dying tornado to give Dave a soft landing. They ran towards him.

Dave wasn't glowing anymore, his heart was beating rapidly, his eyes were wide open, the amount of shock he had received this day alone is enough to kill a healthy human, but somehow, Dave isn't dead. “ I...I....I...tho....I thought....I thought I was going to die” Dave stammered, his eyes blinking rapidly.

“I was about to tell you not to let fear of doing magic get in the way” Moses said. “Are you okay?”

“Fear of doing magic?“ Dave questioned.

“When a sorcerer is scared of doing magic or performing a spell but still gets along with it” Agnes explained. “It creates some kind of glitch that misinterprets what you are actually trying to do”

“Ohh...“ Dave said. “I guess I was scared”

“That's enough shock on one person for today” Agnes said, helping Dave get up. “It's getting dark, we need somewhere to stay.

“Great!“ Moses exclaimed. “Another excuse to teach Dave magic. Dave, build a house for us” Moses said authoritatively. Staring at Dave like a cutely angry cat.

“What??“ Dave exclaimed. “Why me. Agnes should do it”

“I'm not doing it” Agnes snapped, leaving no room for argument.

“Come on Dave, do it, don't you wanna do one magic before today ends, you are extremely powerful”

“Okay fine” Dave said like a child. “Focus...“ He said to himself. “...focus...focus...focus....no fear” He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, his body started glowing multicolored like before, he started to float in the air. The ground Agnes and Moses were standing on moved both of them backwards. The ground started shaking, as though an earthquake was striking. A large, very large portion of the ground collapsed in on itself with a resounding boom.

Walls started rising out of the sink hole, grasses and plants growing on the walls, the walls grew taller and taller, huge towers could be seen.

A building was forming, but it didn't look like any ordinary building, it was a castle, a very huge one. It was totally covered in cover plants and grasses, beautiful butterflies everywhere. Birds of beautiful colors fluttering around. Beautiful and cute animals could be seen inside the castle, the castle was very nature-ry, but also very futuristic and neat. A warm tone of lighting and a sight in which no man has seen.

Dave sank slowly to the ground has his body stopped glowing. Moses face changed to that of a suspicious one. He looked at Dave, then the castle, Dave, then the castle again. He knew something was wrong about the situation but just couldn't place a finger on it.

  “Oh..my ......gooooooooooooooooodness” Agnes exclaimed.

“I couldn't help myself but go overboard” Dave said. “I made a huge modern castle filled with nature and animals of all sorts and water and sunlight and air and fine technology.

“Hmmmm...“ Moses hummed, staring at the beautiful sight as though analysing it.

“What's with the -hmm-” Agnes said Happily. “Come on let's check it out” She shouted, as she ran happily into the castle, using all her strength to open the large doors.
