Chapter One Hundred
Bei Fengming didn't respond to him. For the first time, a fierce flame that couldn't be described or explained ignited in those eyes that always seemed to be smiling.
Xiao Pu was too afraid to ask again.
Fortunately, he didn't have to wait too long, and within three seconds at most, Bei Fuming picked up the intercom and said something in a low voice.
At this point, the host who was about to go crazy from smiling and laughing heard a clear response coming through his earpiece that brought him back to reality.
"Okay."
The host's clever words immediately made the simple two words extremely rich, once again pushing the on-site atmosphere to a climax.
No one noticed that Luo Fei's fist was hidden behind his back, quietly clenched.
Shu Muta achieved his goal, sat back in his seat, and smiled to indicate to the host to continue. The competition returned to normal, with the host guiding the audience to vote, and all the results were summarized on the backstage computer.
"Teacher Shu Mu," the host, who was now reluctant to face Shu Mu's smiling face, but the game segment required him to muster up his spirits and put on an even more enthusiastic smile. "Before announcing the audience voting results, please give out the 100 'Dream Power Points' in your hands."
At the same time, he explained to the audience: "The 100 points in Shu Mu's hand are different from other judges. Other judges give scores to two contestants, but Shu Mu gives this 100 points to a certain contestant as his dream helper. While the voting results have not been announced yet, if Shu Mu thinks that one of the contestants is likely to lose, he can give this score to him, and maybe it will help this contestant get through the difficulties and win the final championship!"
As soon as the voice fell, the fans in the field shouted again, and for a time, the whole field was filled with "Luo Fei" and "Qi Yi Chen" flying around, buzzing so loudly that even the sound of the speakers could hardly be heard.
"The host just made a point, but it's not entirely accurate. One hundred points of dream assistance, to me, doesn't mean I think someone should lose, but rather means I want to help someone take a step forward." Shu Mu looked calmly at the stage, "When I first started out, there were many people who helped me selflessly, leading me to where I am today. So when I decided to sit in this position, I told myself that you're not a high-and-mighty judge, but rather an experienced senior in the industry. You have a duty to help newcomers when they stumble, pass on your experience to them, and let them move forward more smoothly and stably - just like those people who selflessly helped you back then."
His voice is so sincere, every word and sentence touches people deeply. At this moment, he is not the dazzling king of heaven, nor is he the intimidating superstar, but just a senior who is delighted to see the new power in the music scene. He cherishes the help he has received along the way and sincerely hopes to use his own strength to help the next generation of singers.
And so, gradually, no one remembered those days, Shu Mu and Luo Fei's sharp confrontation, even if there was, it was just a small fight among fans. The following words were so logical and smooth, and the whole scene was immersed in an extremely moving atmosphere.
"I'm giving this hundred points to Luo Fei," said Shu Mu. "Thank you for letting me see the me of those years."
The silence lasted for a long time, followed by prolonged and enthusiastic applause.
"Bei Ge," from the side of the stage, behind the curtain, Xiao Pu anxiously looked at Bei Fengming, "Shu Mu gave all the points to Luo Fei, this is not what we agreed on!"
Bei Fengming didn't look back, his broad shoulders shrunk into a line, and he walked straight ahead.
"Have the audience votes been counted?" he asked in a low voice.
"It's calculated," said Xiao Pu, "including that one hundred points, Luo Fei will surely win the championship."
"Then let's just adjust the audience vote a bit, it doesn't have to be too big, just a few votes will do." A familiar voice suddenly sounded from behind, "The original plan remains unchanged, give the championship to Qi Yichen."
Xiao Pu responded with a sound and quickly ran away.
Bei Fengming turned his head back and indeed it was Qin Yige.
"Xiao Bei, I underestimated Shu Mu. Originally, I wanted to use him, but it turns out he used me instead." Qin Yige let out a long sigh and laughed self-deprecatingly, "Thinking back, when Li Jin was in front of me, slapping the table and saying those annoying things were all Shu Mu's doing, having nothing to do with He Shi, I didn't believe it. An artist, who would have thought he had such a mind..."
"He invited two students to participate in his new film, first to promote it in advance, second to sell well in public, and third - he wanted to divert the topic, calm down the audience's emotions, so that under the stimulation of Shi Dongning's low score, the audience would not be driven by sympathy and vote for Luo Fei." Bei Fuming said with a sigh, "If I had known that we would still have to change the voting data of the audience, why did we need to go through so much trouble to invite him to perform this play? Now it's good, he has sold the emotions of the audience, and the ball is kicked back. The result of the game remains unchanged, and we can't find him to reason with him, it's really..."
"Because I wanted a big splash," Qin Yige sighed again, "if I didn't want a big enough splash to fill the page, how could I have made such a mistake."
Bei Fengming's body shook slightly, and he subconsciously looked towards Qin Yige.
The stage lights shone brightly on half of Qin Yige's face, and for the first time, a hint of guilt appeared on that face which was always filled with arrogance and pride.
"Xiao Bei, this time although there were surprises but no danger... no, it's all my fault," Qin Yige said, "It seems I've been too smooth sailing for too long, and actually made such a reckless mistake."
"Qin Dao." Bei Feng's name slipped out of her mouth subconsciously.
Qin Yige's smile under the lamplight seemed somewhat illusory and unreal: "Shu Mu... it turns out that many people didn't see through you..."
The final of the Chinese Star Voice was held in such a high atmosphere, and welcomed the final outcome. Luo Fei lost to his good friend Qi Yichen by two points in total score, and retreated to runner-up. Although the audience felt unexpected about this ending, the atmosphere created by the organizer at the end of the competition successfully eliminated this emotion.
At the end of the competition, all mentors, trainees, and accompaniment staff went on stage together. The newly baked champion and runner-up stood in the center of the stage with the five mentors, surrounded by the media's cameras. Cheers and applause erupted, and the fans' shouts made the already lively broadcasting hall even more enthusiastic.
"I know you've always wanted to surpass me." Amidst the countless din, a clear voice pierced into Luo Fei's ears with unparalleled mockery, "I'm right here, you can come at me with all your might."
Hong Fei's face turned red with anger.
The smile on Shu Mu's face was serene and peaceful, as if he had never said those words just now.
