As they stood in the forest clearing in silence they eventually separated to begin doing what they came out here for. Taking a seat on the ground they slowly cleared their minds and entered a meditative state. Sensing the flow of energy in their veins they soon came across the next seal that needed opening. After a few hours they managed to open the seal causing a burst of energy to flow through their right arm as a small faint diamond mark appeared on their wrists before vanishing like the other. Whenever they actively used their energy the mark would reappear. As they finished up they took a short break before opening the next seal. They spent some time talking to each other and recovering their mental energy before beginning again. After around an hour of rest their mental strength was recovered enough to continue. Feeling the flow of energy they stretched it into small threads that they slowly lead it through the seal. As it slowly got closer to the end the seal began opening the two of them sighed in relief as they were done. Without realizing it the sun had begun to rise. The two of them sat there as the sun slowly rose. They felt both afraid of the future but happy to face it with each other.
Once the sun fully rose the two of them headed back to their dorm rooms. Taking a long shower they prepared themselves for the day. They were determined to get through the trials, get the artifact and return to the library as soon as possible. They were tired of this world and just wanted to rest.
Going to the different rooms they gathered everyone and headed into the tunnels once the coast was clear. They headed through the first room and into the 2nd chamber with the board full of statues. Both Isaac and Val headed up to the top of the tower in the middle. Val controlled the movements of their classmates representing the gods while Isaac controlled the statues. Isaac’s job was to protect the tower from the gods while Val had to guide them from their spaces outside to their spaces in the middle by the tower. Taking control of the boards on the opposite sides of the tower they prepared to do their best to finish the trial. The people representing the gods took their places. As they did the board began to glow, illusory statues of the gods appeared over their classmates. The statues around the board woke up as their eyes began to glow red and began to stand up. Isaac and Val took another look at each other before beginning the game.

Val took the first move. The gods are each able to move up to two spaces before their turns were over. As they all moved their two spaces forward it was Isaac’s turn. The statues moved one space towards the closest god and then rotated one turn in a clockwise direction. If the statue faced one of the gods that God was eliminated.
As they each took turns moving around the gods slowly got closer and closer to the tower. There were a few close misses where they were almost eliminated but luckily the statues missed because they were forced to turn in a direction away from them. Getting closer to the tower the statues kept closing in making it harder for the gods to safely move their turns. Eventually with a lot of headaches and close misses they finally made it to the tower. The moment the last god stepped on their place all of the statues on the board froze and crumbled to dust leaving nothing behind. The boards glow all gathered towards the tower as the floor between Isaac and Val opened revealing a black staff piece. Val grabbed it feling the immense power it held as it tried to corrupt him. He quickly stored it in his storage artifact before he made any decisions he would regret.
The moment he collected the staff piece the tower began to crumble. The floor under the gods opened up dropping them down to who knows where. As Isaac and Val wondered what they were going to do the floor cracked and dropped into a pit. They felt themselves falling before they soon hit something causing them to slide down further and further. Finally after what felt like forever they were dropped into an unknown room. They stood up not really seeing anything when suddenly torches around the room began lighting up. They realized that the others were gone as they stood alone in a room full of statues of the gods.
