They walked for a mile in their wolf forms, sniffing the air, and tracking the dirt for prints.

  Twitch was able to catch a nice grouse, while Hunter caught a fawn. They changed their forms again, and carried the food on their backs.

  They were on their way back, when suddenly, a familiar black wolf appeared. Shakily, Twitch backed up slowly as he stared at the creature in front of them.

  The wolf changed into the boy they met yesterday. The blond witch looked from one to the other. "I'd like to make a better arrangement than what my sister has...supposedly discussed with you."

  Twitch smiled and nodded his head in acceptance, then turned to Hunter. He lifted his chin. "Very well. When and where would you like to do this?"

  Shadow gave them a mischievous grin. "AFTER the summoning....Rose has discussed the timing and location with me for it. The highest peak of the mountain, tonight at midnight. When we finish, we'll journey to the castle tomorrow and I'll bring your people back."

  Twitch looked at him with surprise. "The - the castle? We're going to sneak in?"

  Shadow nodded. "I'll teleport us there. We won't be seen if we're blended in the shadows..." He then turns to Hunter. "ESPECIALLY you and me."

  Hunter and Twitch looked at each other. He could see the excitement in his eyes. He turns back to the witch. "Deal. When would we like to go?"

  Shadow smiled. "At dead of night....I'll let you know when the veil is at its dimmest."

  Hunter nodded and turned to Twitch.
