Adele hadn’t turned her head to the woman, but when the woman sat in front of her, she was able to see her.
From her perspective, this woman was a clear example of an idol in the south-eastern hemisphere. The only surprise to her was that no one paid attention to this. She expected for a few people to talk outside when she entered, even her eyes were spread around, but no one seemed to pay attention.
The lady looked at Adele “What a pretty little lady you are, but why are you so pale? You should go out into the sun more often!”
Adele, a professional experienced introvert, had heard this sentence quite a few times. She would’ve sneered if it wasn’t for her persona, so she simply replied “It’s quite rare for easterners to visit the empire. Especially for those that are so far south, are you sure you’re not visiting the Kholodny?”
A hint of surprise flashed across the ladies’ eyes, but she hid it well before answering “Is it so obvious? No one mentioned this up to now.”
“Your nose, your chin and your eyes. I’ve seen countless that have had changed their face in this direction, regardless of how well it is done, there is always a marking that will tell people of your origin. It’s your muscle structure, anyone with a good eye will be able to see it, superficial things such as skin is something only ignorant people pay attention to.”
The lady didn’t seem to understand, so Adele pointed it out “Your cheek bones seem non-existent. In fact, I am surprised people don’t see this, it is probably only because people think nobles look vastly different from the common people that they don’t think too deeply about your appearance, at most they would think you’re from the south of the Kholodny empire, but from my experience, you are very obviously a south eastern beauty. I would also appreciate it if you didn’t call me little, a basic level of respect should be expected regardless of whom you see.”
“It should indeed be so, I apologize for my behaviour.”
Both became quiet, Adele’s posture made her seem more and more like a porcelain puppet than a real girl, the lady couldn’t keep quiet “I am quite fascinated, your appearance appears to be naturally glassy and pure, how do you manage that?”
“As an immortal, shouldn’t you know?” Adele asked, with a twinkling in her eyes.
The servant behind became serious and put her hand behind her dress, but the lady just waved her hand to stop it “That is indeed the case, but even we don’t have this. After all, it only ensures eternal beauty and enhances our natural appearance. It would be another matter if it is a disguise, but it doesn’t appear to be one.”
Adele shook her head “Reality is the most successful illusion. Pardon me for asking, but what might an immortal such as you partake in this part of the world?”
Smilingly, the lady answered “I am on an educational journey. I have taken most trains throughout the Kran Empire and am now heading towards the last two stops.”

Nodding, Adele commented “That is indeed a joyful journey and I wish you further success.”
From then on, both became quiet.
The trip from Kaiserheim to Ehrenwald took a full three and a half days. They would take a break for two hours every twelve hours to repair and refuel the train.
During the whole journey, Adele sat still in the couch, it was only the lady and her maid that went to the small bedrooms in the back of the compartment.
When they arrived at Ehrenwald Station, the lady stood up and cupped her hands “I wish you a great journey further on.”
Adele nodded, when the lady was about to leave the compartment, she said in a clear tone without turning her head “The kind lady should return to her home. Our northern continent won’t be as welcoming in the near future.”
The lady stopped, turned and cupped her hands before leaving.
Outside, the maid asked, “What did she mean?”
The lady smiled “Her eyes, in the empire, it is only the Holle family that posses purple eyes. It is said the darker their eyes are, the more power they have. Dark violet, I doubt there is anyone with darker eyes in her family. Ehrenwald will be our last destination, prepare our journey back.”
…
‘Hmm, an immortal, and she should be in the middle ranks too. I wonder, is she really journeying or is she planning something? The Emerald Court is said to be the strongest force in the eastern continent, a branch of the Heavenly Court, so they should have great strength. It is said that they are at war against all their neighbours, are they looking for allies in the north?'
The Emerald Court consists of three spirits and three sects, with a total of six god-level forces, whereby the Kran Empire only has three. It is simply a huge difference in size, after all, the Kran Empire barely reigns the middle of the northern continent, with more land in the west, north and even more in the east, while the Emerald Court is nearly the only sovereign of the south of the eastern continent, which is much larger than the northern continent.
Of course this doesn’t mean they are truly sovereign, they also have countries bordering them in all directions, only the difference is that the Kran Empire has one enemy among them, while the Emerald Court has several.
There is no other reason for this, they are simply very ambitious and have disunity inside with everyone grabbing the only resources in their country and the only proper and safe way to advance being the expansion.
Even though they are technically stronger than the Kran Empire, they are of the same grade. In fact, at one point of strength, every country can be called of the same strength, as it is organized somewhat casually. No god-level forces mean it’s a low power, one is middle, two is high and anything with three or more is top.
It’s simply because there is no essential change between three and six, any country can resource one god force, two means the country is able to defend itself against outsiders, while three means being in fighting for resources on the world level. Having more god forces starting from three just means more people to fight, not that one can focus all forces against one country.
After all, if they do so, then all nearby countries will simply unite. It’s fine if we fight normally, but if you want total destruction just because you are stronger, then you have to be ready to bleed.
“I would like to visit that country once.” Adele thought. In fact, she wanted to visit all top grade forces and even a few lower ones. There is no other reason, she is curious.
She might also create a bit chaos if she has the chance.
“In the past when I read stories about the strong, I’ve always wondered why they were so much in a rush to advance. Now, as a time witch, I know their behaviour is simply wrong. With so much time, you still rush things, clearly you are just instable and don’t know what else to do besides progressing.”
