Chapter 17: A Beauty Descends from Heaven!

Volume 1 Chapter 17: A Beauty Sent from Heaven!

"Up!" Li Jinyue suddenly lifted her gently.

Her sleeve was torn open by half a foot, the arrow whizzing through her sleeve, and she could even feel the icy iron head of the arrow grazing the inside of her arm, the tactile sensation slippery like when she accidentally caught a snake by the creek as a child.

A tear in her sleeve, something fell out. At this moment, she and he were fleeing in a hurry, with no time to pay attention, and the thing was about to fall on the road.

She suddenly felt a sense of foreboding in her heart, as if something that shouldn't be happening was unfolding. She looked down and saw that what was about to fall was a piece of paper, which seemed to be the same one she had found in Yu Shilan's room on the night of the fire.

It seemed like nothing was important, but she still ran while holding onto her sleeve.

The tear on the sleeve is slowly mending...

Li Jinyue only pulled her to escape, without looking back, the two rushed straight to Luming Mountain. Originally thought that the mountain was open and today there were many people who should be able to stop the killer with a heart of death, but neither of them was familiar with the road, and the direction of going up the mountain was not correct. After several runs, they actually walked more and more secluded, more and more rugged, and didn't meet anyone at all.

"There's no road ahead!" Li Jinsnow suddenly stopped in her tracks.

Tai Shi Lan stabilized her breathing, lifted her head, and found that the two of them had already run to a cliff edge at some point. Thinking that life was indeed melodramatic, wherever they went, they would always encounter cliffs. One side suddenly said: "I won't jump off the cliff!"

She doesn't want to jump off a cliff and meet some crippled master of the Nine Yin Scripture, or some fairy sister with a clear and refreshing breeze on Mount Hua. She only knows that jumping down will more likely make her a cripple!

"What were you thinking about?" Li Jinsnow smiled and pulled her hand, "Look."

Tai Shi Lan only now saw that the mountain they were on seemed to be a small mountain formed by a land rift, with trees blocking the view below the cliff. It seemed like there was a faint sound of running water and flat ground below, while across from them was the majestic body of the real Lu Ming Mountain. A slightly protruding platform was not far away, about 10 feet or so in distance. The mountain rocks on the platform were steep and rugged, with what looked like a dark cave entrance. It would be a good place to hide, even if they were chased there, they should still be able to find a place to hide inside the cave.

Tai Shi thought that Li Jinsnow might be able to jump over, but he himself was in a bit of trouble.

There were some vines growing at the foot of the cliff. Li Jin Xue pulled on them and smiled at her, saying "Let's go over."

  "How was it?"

"I've recently been injured, and my agility has taken a hit." He smiled apologetically. "There's no way I can take you with me; this vine is too thin, and I'm afraid it won't hold two people. I'll go first, then toss the vine back to pull you over."

  Tai Shi Lan nodded slightly.

Her calm and unquestioning attitude, unyielding even in the face of life and death, made Li Jinnian glance at her with a hint of a smile in his eyes, saying softly, "Don't worry, I'll come for you."

Tai Shi Lan patted his waist pocket, "Remember, the bun is not finished yet."

This was her concern, Li Jinnian's eyes shone brighter, as if with starlight, and he smiled at her, grasping the vines, striding over the mountain stream.

Tai Shi Lan gazed at him, his clothes fluttering in the wind, as if with just a slight movement of his foot, his body had already crossed over the cliff's edge. His leaping posture was very handsome, like a fish swimming into the vast ocean.

Just as he was about to step onto the opposite cliff with one foot, her gaze had just relaxed a bit when she suddenly heard a short "hiss".

This sound, unlike the previous fierce and sharp gusts of wind, was even faster and more piercing. Her ears had just caught that slight noise when she felt the air around her being torn apart by a strong gust of wind, her sleeve ripped with a "whoosh" sound, and a silver light flashed past her side, rushing straight towards the opposite direction.

She saw that flash of silver light enter Li Jinsu's shoulder blade!

It was as if in slow motion, a flash of silver light swept across and entered his body, blood gushing out. He swayed, his toes already pointing at the mountain rocks, and his body leaned back...

Tai Shi suddenly rushed forward, just about to rush to the edge of the cliff when he suddenly squatted down, and as he squatted down, he grabbed the vines at the edge of the cliff. He then sprang up and jumped off the cliff!

With a thud, she fell to the ground, and just as she had fallen halfway down, she was caught by the vines. The weak vines trembled precariously, but ultimately held her body in place.

Tai Shi Lan didn't look at the dangerous vines, nor did he look at his palm that was cut by the coarse branches. He exerted force with his legs on the cliff and his body had already swung out!

A person in mid-air, body swaying, one arm stretched out straight, a sweep.

  She wants to catch him!

In an instant, when the sudden change occurred, her reaction, muscle explosive force, limb coordination ability, and speed had all reached their peak. Her movements were coordinated, smooth, and accurate to the point where it was unbelievable that she hadn't practiced any profound martial arts for a day.

This is also her best performance in this life.

  "Ah!"

She amazingly landed right next to Li Jinsu with just one swing, and as he had just fallen down, her fingertips touched his sleeve!

  Tai Shi Lan grabbed fiercely.

Her fingers touched something solid, and her heart was just about to rejoice when suddenly her body felt empty and she fell downwards - the vine had snapped!

Li Jinyue suddenly raised his head at this moment, he didn't smile, but his eyes were still warm and elegant, he suddenly swung his arm and supported her foot.

With a loud cry, Tai Shi Lan felt like she was on a cloud ladder, instantly reversing her fall and shooting back up. The change from falling to flying was too fast, causing her body to lose balance, with all her internal organs feeling as if they had been turned upside down.

Just as she was about to land on the opposite platform, there was another familiar soft sound.

A flash of silver light, and he was upon him once again. With a loud crackling sound, sparks flew everywhere as the boulder that Taishi Ran was about to step on was shot away!

At this point, even Tai Shi Lan couldn't help but curse loudly - You're playing me!

She had just gotten up and fell again, this time no one was holding her feet, using their own body to exchange for her safety. In the rapid fall, the wind rushed past, she struggled to open her eyes and saw that Li Jinsnow did not fall to the bottom of the cliff, but suddenly hit the mountain wall. The lush vines there were shattered, revealing a deep groove going down, or a crack in the mountain body. She watched as his body slipped away and disappeared into the crevice.

Such a deep gash, he was injured again...

The thought of bad luck hadn't fully formed when she thudded into something, not hard but a bit fluffy and slightly prickly. Her butt hurt and there was a rustling sound beneath her, accompanied by the faint scent of pine wafting up.

But this stop was only for an instant, the sound of a twig snapping beneath her, she rolled and fell again, this time falling quickly, the cliff wasn't very high to begin with.

"Bang" again, but there was no imagined severe pain. Underneath her, it felt empty, only her waist and the back of her knees were caught, with a soft yet hard texture that had some elasticity to it. She calmed down and realized this seemed to be someone's arm.

  Actually caught by someone?

The dizziness from the fall had not yet passed, when a whiff of fragrance like jasmine and osmanthus, both refreshing and airy, together with a voice that was somewhat familiar, yet somewhat unpleasant, flooded into her consciousness.

That voice was tinged with surprise and ridicule, saying:

"Heaven is really kind to me, knowing I'm lonely, and sent down a beauty!"
