“H-hey Tina.” Tyler meekly said.
Both men were now in the same room as Agnes, resting on the other beds in the room. After the ass-whooping they got, they could barely walk, much less go back home.
In total, there were four beds in the room, so it'd be no issue if someone else decided to pass out or get their ass beat.
She could only glare at the duo and shake her head.
“I'm not even sure Furor would let you guys get away with something this stupid.”
“W-w-what? W-w-w-w-w-w-we just wanted to help out a local village like good adventurers.” The man was stuttering like he was dropped into the Arctic with only shorts and a T-shirt on.
“I'm talking about ganging on Tibaut over here. I think I and every other adventurer in the parish would agree on leaving both of you in the ditch somewhere if something happened to him. (At least he can take on trash like them. But with how long he was out combined with his lack of training, he might be weaker than me currently. Why can't I be better than him when he's at his best?)”
Both men could only feign fatigue at her words and very quickly closed their eyes.
“Chill out Tina, no need to scare them, we can keep this between us. (I don't want Elizabeth getting any ideas about resuming training after this.)”
Tina rolled her eyes and sat down on an empty desk next to Agnes’s bed.
“No respectable man lets himself get disrespected like that. But I guess you're still young, maybe you'll grow a proper pair someday and leave that softness behind.”
“(Fuck you, I was 26 in my past life you little she-hulk.) Whatever, so are you gonna help me tonight or what?”
Agnes immediately rose from her bed in a cold sweat. “Wh- what!?” She shouted.
Ruby pulled her hair and dragged her closer. “I hope you aren't thinking something nasty, you little pervert.” She whispered. “Don't think I haven't heard how you talk around Ruby. What, afraid to talk to this ‘bimbo’ directly?”
Agnes quickly seized up and Tibaut slapped her hand away.
“Stop treating Agnes like you treat me. (Does she know she's a former cult member?)”
“Hmph. Of course, I'm not helping you, we're going home. I don't think Elizabeth wants you wasting your time on something like this. Plus based on what you said let them deal with it themselves, that's just how things are settled in this part of the country.”
Despite coming here every so often, Tibaut was surprised at how little love Tina had for these people.

“Don't look at me like that, you're acting like they're gonna kill themselves. They'll just give each other a few bruises and when they're satisfied they'll go back to their regular lives.”
“Yeah but if someone is dumping rabbits then, finding them could end this whole thing.”
On his way to the room, Tibaut considered another theory. What if some kind-hearted person from one of the villages simply disliked killing and moved them to somewhere far away? Or maybe it was more malicious like a neighbour dropping a groundhog they caught, in your yard.
“Well tough shit, I'm not sitting on the grass all night. Why don't you ask Ruby? She's the last person that'll have a problem spending a whole night with a guy like you.”
His face blushed when she mentioned that scenario and she wore a look of disgust at his reaction.
(“What do you mean by ‘guy like me’?”)
“You know what, forget it, I have some respect for you so I'm not letting that whore put her claws in you. Be sure to thank me.” She continued.
“I agree with you there,” Agnes mumbled.
Tina slapped her back and sent the poor girl flat on her back to the bed.
“ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!”
The group soon noticed a young blonde woman enter the room, and stopped their antics for the meantime.
She gave a quick glance around the room and smiled when she caught sight of Tibaut. She walked up to him and shook his hand.
“I heard you went through some trouble lately, Mr. Adventurer. I'm sorry to hear.”
“Oh, uh, thanks.” He awkwardly responded. (“I hope random people walking up to me doesn't become the norm…”)
“If you ever need a shoulder to lean on I'd be happy to help. After what you did for me, I'd be glad to listen to your troubles.” She said in a voice that screamed delight.
The other two women eyed her suspiciously.
“Uh, um, I'll, uh, c-c-consider it.” He nervously answered.
(“Seriously Tibaut?”) Tina thought to herself.
(“That [A multitude of insults that allude to her proclivity with men]. Get to the back of the line and then go fuck yourself because I'm the only one that's… going to… She looks familiar.”) Agnes was initially heated but found herself taking in the woman’s features more closely.
“My, what's this, are you shy around nice ladies like me?” She asked as she got closer. She rested a hand against his arm and Tibaut immediately froze up. He shyly looked away and began babbling gibberish.
As Tina got off the table, ready to walk towards her, Agnes exclaimed something that saved the woman from misfortune.
“You're alive!?”
The woman soon explained that Tibaut had saved her from a den of kobolds which explained why she was clingy earlier.
“I remember you now, so was this where you lived? I hope you've found better hobbies since then.” Tibaut said.
“Haha,” She kept her eyes trained on Agnes. “No, that isn't and will never be my hobby. I was hoping to find something my… friends were talking about but the only thing I found were kobolds. And they had the gall to say it was empty, it's only because a man like you was there that I was able to walk out in one piece.”
“Wow, is that the case? So how do you know Agnes?”
The woman nearly twitched and flashed a quick glare at Agnes.
Agnes quickly got up and started whispering something in his ear.
“She was a-”
