  Chapter 1, part 2: New Beginnings

  “AH!” The white-haired Teenager screamed as he fell back at the sight of the strange boy.

  “A BANDIT? BUT I THOUGHT THIS PATH DIDN’T HAVE ANY BANDITS!” the boy screamed in panic as he slid away on the floor in the opposite direction of Yuji.

  “A bandit? Where?” Yuji scanned his surroundings as he raised his fists looking side to side.

  “I don’t see anyone here except you and me,” Yuji said to the teen on the floor, his head tilted with a dumbfounded look.

  “WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! YOU'RE THE BANDIT!” the teen screamed at the vessel.

  “oooohh, no I'm Yuji…Oh, I see what's happening. Yeah, this is a huge misunderstanding.” Yuji lifted his hands.

  “I come in peace, I'm just looking for the nearest city or town,” Yuji said as he raised his fingers in a peace sign.

  “What are you doing with your hands?” the white-haired boy asked as he got up from the ground.

  “Huh? I'm putting up a peace sign” Yuji replied, confused.

  “Oh, ok then, if you say so,” he said, still weary of the vessel.

  “So do you know where the nearest city or town is? I need to get back to Shinjuku ASAP” Yuji asked.

  “um, I've never heard of a place called Shinjuku before,” the white-haired boy said, slightly confused.

  “How haven’t you heard of Shin—”

  Suddenly a band of rugged bandits pounces from the vegetation, weapons ready.

  “Hand over all your belongings, or we’ll kill you!”

  “And you! Homeless kid, get lost before we kill you too.” the bandit demanded with a sickly chuckle.

  “Hey I'm not homeless, I Live at my High school,” Yuji said to the bald bandit.

  “still sounds homeless to me,” the white-haired teen said quietly.

  “HEY, whose side are you on?" Yuji said to the white-haired teen.

  “Just get out of here already!“ The bald bandit commanded Yuji.

  “Sorry, but I won't let you rob him without a fight,” Yuji replied as he pointed to the white-haired boy.

  “Bring it, kid,” The bald bandit said as he unsheathed his broad sword from his back.

  Yuji raised one hand forward while resting his other arm near his shoulder.

  “ARE YOU CRAZY!!! YOU CAN'T WIN AGAINST THESE GUYS!” the white-haired boy exclaimed.

  “THEY HAVE A BLESSING FROM A GOD, JUST RUN WHILE YOU CAN”

  As the vessel stood surrounded by the group of bandits, he remembered a phrase his teacher Gojo Sensei, once said as he was about to fight the king of curses.

  “Nah I’d win,” Yuji said as he became serious.

  “Teach him a lesson boy” The bald bandit smirked as he motioned for the other bandits.

  “You're dead kid,” a bandit with 1 tooth said.

  The bandits charged toward Yuji, their weapons glinting in the sunlight that passed through the trees. Yuji steeled his resolve, his focus on the bald bandit. As the bandits drew closer, Yuji suddenly disappeared.

  “Where the hell did he go!” the bald bandit shouted.

  “He’s over there!” one of the bandits shouted.

  As Yuji jumped from the trees and slammed 2 of the bandit's heads to the floor with a loud “THUD” Knocking them unconscious.

  “YOU BASTARD!” The bald Bandit yelled as he raised his broadsword.

  Yuji dodges the falling sword, and in one motion kicks the tall bandit off balance, sending him falling to the floor.

  The bandit raised his broadsword as he saw the vessel wind up to punch him, but to his dismay, the vessel had punched through his broadsword with a deafening “CRACK” landing the devastating hit, and fracturing his nose.

  Yuji looked up and stared at the short child-like bandit with a devilish grin.

  “Hey man, we can talk this out” the bandit pleaded with fear tainting his voice.

  Yuji started sprinting at the little one.

  “Let me tell you something, Let me tell you something!” The bandit screamed in desperation.

  Yuji jumped and winded his feet as he flew through the air and drop-kicked the bandit in the face sending him flying and crashing into a tree.

  As Yuji tried to get up from the ground a bandit went in for a stab to the back with his dagger, but Yuji rolled away while getting to his feet.

  “You want some too!?” Yuji said as he shook the dust from his clothes.

  The other three bandits, terrified at the monster that stood before them, tried to escape quickly.

  “Oh no, you're not going anywhere,” Yuji declared as he ripped a tree from the earth and chucked it at the three bandits.

  “OOF,” all three bandits said as they were hit directly in by the tree.

  The bald bandit attempted to get back up, but Yuji was instantly upon him making sure he wouldn't get up this time.

  Yuji hit the bandit on the neck with a decisive blow, finally knocking him unconscious.

  “Alright, that’s all of them I think” Yuji declared as he stood over the bald bandit.

  “WOAH, That's amazing” The white-haired boy exclaimed with his eyes twinkling.

  “Are you an adventurer, what’s your familia?”

  “Adventurer? Familia?” Yuji pondered hard on those words until he remembered something Yuta Senpai told him about his stay in Africa.

  The vessel remembered Yuta saying something about how some Europeans who resided in Africa spoke Spanish and referred to their family as familia.

  “Maybe I'm in Spain,” Yuji thought to himself.

  “So uh I'm not really from around here.” the vessel told the white-haired boy.

  “I'm from a country called Japan”

  “Where is Japan? I've never heard of it before.” the boy tilted his head in confusion.

  “How do you not know where Japan is?” Yuji replied, shocked.

  “Well, you see I'm from a small village not so far from here and we don't really get many visitors.” The white-haired boy replied with a bit of embarrassment.

  “Oh I see you're also a country kid,” Yuji said with an understanding tone.

  “Well you see, Japan is a country in the Far East,” Yuji informed the boy.

  “And to answer your other question about me being an adventurer and part of a familia, I am not really in either of them.” The vessel stated.

  “So who are you, I already introduced myself,” Yuji said.

  “Oh, sorry I'm Bell” The boy replied

  “Bell Cranel”
