The Directors Decision

  The director's decision

Xu Wei Ai held the water, glanced at Mei Yu, and elegantly lifted her skirt to exchange pleasantries with Yu, the deputy director. Mei Yu smiled slightly, twisted open the cap of the mineral water, tilted her head back and took a big gulp. A small stream of water flowed down from the corner of her mouth, along her smooth neck, and into her collar.

The scorching heat generated by the thick opera costume was suddenly cooled down, and Meiyu's head turned half a circle, just to meet a pair of eyes with great interest. Meiyu was taken aback, and her hand holding the water bottle naturally fell to her chest, politely nodding at the owner of the eyes.

Getting noticed by a director is never a bad thing at any time.

The staff around me started packing things up, everyone's mood was very high, today although it was just an audition for a supporting role, unexpectedly saw a wonderful scene, the two actresses were great, and their acting skills were outstanding.

Mei Yu and the assistant director exchanged greetings, then returned to the dressing room to remove her makeup. Xu Wei Ai watched her back, with a look of envy and jealousy on his face, as if he hadn't yet exited the play.

Mei Yu arrived at the dressing room and heard several makeup artists' voices loudly saying, "Do you know? This film is invested by Wan Zong, specially tailored for Miss Xu."

"Really? What's the relationship between Miss Xú and General Wàn?"

Inside, a ambiguous smile, Mei Yu's eyebrows furrowed, this kind of insider trading happens from time to time, often some wealthy and arrogant bosses play around with other industries, anyway it doesn't cost much money, just to please their mistresses, not more extravagant than buying an expensive building.

Most of these TV dramas are poorly made and probably only about three out of ten can make it to the television broadcast.

Mei Yu knocked politely on the door, reminding the people inside to keep their voices down. The door was opened and several makeup artists looked at her together. Mei Yu looked back at them with a calm expression, as an actor, disguising one's emotions was the simplest thing to do.

Plum rain took off her costume, removed her makeup, and walked straight out of the performing hall. Just now, she told Vice Director that she would probably be notified of the result in two days. She planned to visit her own grave tomorrow, which was also a way to fulfill one of her wishes.

Zheng Qiu is a very serious and responsible person, this TV series is not what he wanted to shoot, but since he promised his friend, he will go all out, this is his principle of doing things.

That night, the empty auditorium was left with only him, he aimed the camera at the middle curtain, replaying the footage shot during the day, watching it over and over again.

The screen is very large, in the standard movie projection size, and every move of the two actresses is magnified, some subtle movements, tiny expressions are all shown.

A tall figure slowly walked to his side, stood and looked at the curtain for a while, then suddenly laughed in a low voice: "This girl is very beautiful, how come our ice mountain handsome guy finally moved?"

Zheng Qiuturned around, he had a beautiful androgynous face, if not for the thick eyebrows that added some masculinity, it's likely that he would be mistaken for a woman. Adding to his slender build, his long hair was tied up in a ponytail that hung down from his shoulder, really having a strong potential to be a pseudo-girl.

Zheng Qiu's movements were very masculine, stretching out his big foot, limited edition Air Jordan sneakers coolly kicking people around, the other party didn't mind at all and welcomed him, letting those sneakers leave a large grey shoe print on his custom-made suit.

A man with sword-like eyebrows and a face with clear-cut features had a hint of playfulness: "Not bad, not bad, can't get the paw print of Director Zheng, but getting the hoof print is also good."

Zheng Qiuyang raised the corner of his mouth, smiled slyly, picked up the cigarette on the table, lightly tapped the bottom of the cigarette case with his finger, and handed one to the other person. He lit a cigarette with a lighter, puffed out a mouthful of smoke, and lazily asked, "What's this, Master Wan is busy but has the interest to come see the trial mirror?"

It turned out that this well-dressed man was the investor of this TV series, Wan Ren, and also Zheng Qiu's buddy. The two had grown up together since childhood, wearing open-crotch pants, and were sworn brothers.

Wan Rong took a deep drag on his cigarette, and sighed helplessly: "It's all because of Little Ai calling me, asking me to use my privilege to get rid of the female supporting actress who was supposed to audition today."

As soon as he finished speaking, Zheng Qiu's beautiful face scrunched up with two thick eyebrows, indicating that he was very displeased.

Wan Jun knew that he could invite his childhood friend mainly because he had promised that the financial aspect would be fully supported, and during the filming process, he would not interfere. Now he is clearly violating this rule, so the other party is naturally unhappy.

Wan Rong gritted his teeth and dodged the question, bluntly counter-asking: "If you were me, what would you do?"

Zheng Qiushen's body stiffened, and he thought of the relationship between Wan Yan and Xu Wei'ai. His black agate-like eyes looked at Wan Yan, and he replied slowly: "That's right, I will do the same thing as you."

Wan Rong looked at Zheng Qiu and said sincerely: "Thank you."

Zheng Qiu's face suddenly relaxed, and a hint of playfulness appeared in his originally frivolous expression. He laughed loudly: "Even if you don't say it, I won't use this girl anyway."

Wan Rong's expression changed with this sentence, he had always thought himself clever, not relying on his father's help, but in front of this ghostly genius, he was repeatedly frustrated.

Zheng Qiu crushed the half cigarette in the green ceramic ashtray, his body twisted, and the swivel chair under him turned half a circle, facing the laptop on the workbench.

Zheng Qiu's ten fingers were slender, but his joints were prominent, very masculine. His face was serious, and he tapped away at the keyboard, slightly turning his head to say to Wan Rong, "Come take a look."

Wan Rong leaned over, looking at the rapidly flashing screens on Zheng Qiu's laptop. These screens showed Xu Wei'ai's personal performances, her expressions vivid and lifelike. In front of them, it was as if a magnificent and peerless queen had really appeared.

Wan Jun's eyebrows gradually furrowed, he had just casually glanced at the screen earlier and hadn't looked closely. He asked in puzzlement: "When did Little Ai's acting skills suddenly improve to this extent?"

Zheng Qiuxia tapped the table with her hand and replied affirmatively, "It's because her co-star was too strong, so she brought out an extraordinary performance."

In the entertainment industry, there are some venerable old actors who are most skilled not in portraying their own roles vividly and movingly, but rather in bringing out the acting abilities of their co-stars to new heights through their performances.

Wan Jun also knew about this matter, but he didn't expect that such a young girl would have such amazing skills.

Wan Rong took a deep breath, sensing the unusualness in it, and asked directly: "Since she can make Xiao Ai perform beyond her level, why didn't you keep her?"
