Iris is in her normal position as she is on everyday knees to her chin, arms wrapped around her legs and disconnected from everything around her. But it's different this time her face looks like she saw the most horrifying thing on earth. Should I ask her what's wrong? Or should I kill her while she's disconnected?
What are you thinking?! She's your best friend! Snap out of this! But is she really?
I know she's been hanging out with a guy and has been enjoying his company way more than mine.
I see Iris in the corner shaking her head and then she stares at the ground.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“I know you have one life,” she blurts.
“And I know you have been hanging out with someone with many more lives than one,” I retort. She turns to me, with her eyes wide in shock. I tell her my plan I've been thinking about all morning. “I want you to kill him,” I rephrase my sentence not looking at her, “I need you to kill him for me I need another life,” I look up at her, “for your best friend.” Iris stands up.
“I can't do that.” I stand up too.
“Are you really choosing him over your best friend?” I yell.
“You're not my best friend. You haven't been my best friend since you looked at my arm wanting to kill me for your shellfish reasons,” tears form in her eyes, “and now you want me to kill a possible strong ally for the both of us for your selfish reasons!” she turns her back on me. “You’re absolutely insane.”
I grab my dagger and charge at her. But someone else gets to me first. It's him. I jump back so he is out of reach. But Iris stabs me first before I can do anything. Right in the chest. I slip back. I glance and my arm starts to go blank. Killed by my “best friend“.
Everything goes black.
But I didn't come back.
