Hello dear readers! Thank you all for tuning in to my story, and I'm happy to say that it's going well. We're about to reach the Act Two climax, and I'm pleased with the pacing and development so far, and I think you're all going to love the payoff. This story has really gained its own soul and has taken some surprising turns that even I, the writer, didn't expect. My characters have taken on some life of their own, and believe me when I say that they can be as stubborn for me as they can be for each other. Still, I'm thrilled to be over half-way done with the trilogy, and with no intention of stopping.
As an update to the posting schedule; I'm mostly done the next chapter, I'm tinkering with the editing, but I'm afraid I've eaten up all of the backlog that I had written in advance. This means I'm not going to be able to post some chapters over the break while my partner and I have our child. I was hoping to get ahead of it, but I'll admit that my ambition exceeded my reach. Much like Icarus of ancient myth, I flew too close to the sun in my hubris and was undone by my own ambition. Truly, a tragedy worthy of the tales of the ancient world, my flaws have wrought ruin over the carefully laid plans of synths and women.

But real talk folks: I have a life update, and some wonderful personal news; my wife has gone into labor! We're monitoring the situation and soon heading to the hospital to welcome our daughter. I'll be taking a brief break from writing for the short term while this all goes on, and I hope you'll all bear with me while I get my feet under me. If I had to guess, I'd say it will be at least two weeks until the next chapter, but I will keep you all informed. Thanks for bearing with me and joining me on this wonderful journey. Please bear with me for the next month or so, as my posting may be a little slow or sporadic. If nothing else, however, I'll be sure to keep you all informed as to what's happening next.
