Chapter 15.5: The Unknown Realms

The Unknown is a complex multi-hierarchy that fundamentally exists beyond everything beneath its range. This realm of creation cannot be perceived by mortal beings, and even attempting to describe it to them would be fatal, as their very existence is incapable of comprehending its nature. This

limitation applies not only to mortals but also to higher-dimensional beings, even those up to the 12th dimension.

Unlike a multiverse, The Unknown is far more intricate, functioning as a transcendent plane that encompasses abstract things such as ideas, concepts, stories, values, and more. It is a crucial foundation of creation itself, acting as the binding force that holds all of existence together. Any severe damage to The Unknown could unravel the entirety of creation, bringing everything below it to ruin.

The first layer is the Singularity Line, acting as the boundary between the mortal realms and the Unknown. It serves as the only point of entry for those seeking to step beyond creation for the first time. Once crossed, there is no returning, as entry into the Unknown signifies an irreversible transcendence beyond all lower realms.

Beyond this lies the Central Core, the heart of the Unknown, where all fundamental ideas, concepts, values, systems and archetypal worlds exist in an infinite, layered hierarchy of realms. Each layer exists on a higher plane of transcendence, perceiving those beneath them as nothing more than insignificant specks. This structure continues endlessly, with each higher realm embodying a more absolute and abstract state of existence.

Ascending further brings one to the Fundamental Core, home to the most essential forces of creation—Truth, Death, Destiny, Life, Magic, and other supreme governing aspects of all existence. These beings and realms dictate the laws of existence and oversee all things beneath them. To them, everything below is nothing more than stories only told to childrens, mere passing myths compared to the grand design of the Unknown.

Beyond even this lies the Ao Pūrākau Runga, the Higher Narrative Realms, ruled by beings known as Tūmatauenga Kaitahi, the Supreme Narrators. This plane exists on a level so incomprehensibly vast that even fundamental forces like Truth cannot reach it. The gap between the Fundamental Core and the Higher Narrative Realms is described as attempting to grasp something that never truly existed in the first place. From this realm, the Supreme Narrators oversee infinite versions of creation, each appearing as spiraled, contained narratives within their grasp. With a single thought, they can rewrite, erase, or alter entire versions of creation—except for one final and untouchable layer.

At the very peak of everything lies Te Rangi Tōnui, the Great Sky Beyond—the highest and most mysterious realm of all. This is said to be the final layer of existence, a place where those who ascend beyond all else become something incomprehensible, surpassing the entirety of creation itself. To reach this plane is to attain an existence beyond all known frameworks, holding power so vast that it infinitely eclipses everything beneath it and maybe even beyond the pinnacle of existence itself.

Now that we have a basic understanding of how the Unknown is structured, this chapter will take a deeper look into how it works and what exists within it. From its fundamental systems to the powerful beings that inhabit it, we will explore the mysteries that shape this vast and complex realm.

The Singularity Line, Rārangi Kotahitanga -

The Singularity Line – There isn’t much more to add beyond what has already been said about this border realm. However, it is worth noting that it is primarily guarded by T.T.W. – Transcendent Tactical Warfare, the elite army that once served under the now-deceased creator, The True Writer. Following his final command, they work alongside the maids to maintain and secure the Singularity Line, ensuring the protection of the mortal realms. Multiple outposts are stationed along the border, with The True Writer’s old house serving as their main base of operations.

The Central Core, Mātāmua Pūtake -

The Central Core, originally known as Te Rākau Pūmau o te Ao (The Eternal Tree of Creation), is an endlessly layered hierarchy where each level infinitely surpasses the one below, making lower realms seem like mere abstractions. It is home to most fundamental ideas, concepts, values, systems, and archetypal worlds. These archetypal worlds, such as The Vermillion Realm, the Metaphysical Homeplace for All Dragons, serve as the living embodiments of the core principles that govern all of creation. These realms and worlds are integral to the Central Core, where the essence of existence itself is shaped and maintained.

Reality here operates beyond Te Moana Nui o ngā Ao Whāiti, dictated by higher principles where entire existences are rewritten effortlessly. Each layer holds complete authority over those beneath it, ensuring an unfathomable transcendence. To anything outside, the Central Core is unreachable—an existence so vast that even the highest dimensional beings are nothing more than fleeting concepts in its expanse.

Beneath the Central Core, there are other forms of reality that act as pathways between these layers. These paths are known as back alley realitys—small tears in existence that expose the darker aspects of the Core. These alleys are often used by more nefarious beings, as they provide a quicker, albeit dangerous, means of travel through creation. However, these areas are not without risk. They harbor the remnants of unknown horrors left behind by Lordanis, whose malevolent influence still lingers in these shadows, posing a deadly threat to any who dare navigate them.

The True Writer often refers to creation as a tree and gave it the name Te Rākau Pūmau o te Ao (The Eternal Tree of Creation) for a symbolic reason. According to King J, The True Writer saw the tree as a representation of life itself. In this view, the roots of the tree symbolize the mortal realms—the foundation where all life begins. As you move up the tree, each level represents higher and more abstract aspects of creation.

Even though everything in creation was made at the same time, the tree serves as a way to understand how existence is layered. The roots represent the more grounded, tangible parts of reality, while the higher branches and leaves represent the more complex, abstract ideas and values that shape the existence. The True Writer used this image to show how creation, though created all at once, unfolds into different levels, each more complex than the last. It’s a way of illustrating how life and creation progress from the simple to the more profound.

The Central Core is a vast realm that houses countless ideas, concepts, values, systems, and archetypal worlds, all contributing to the fabric of creation. While not as foundational as the realms of the Fundamental Core, it plays a vital role in shaping existence. Ideas like memory, values like courage and compassion, and systems of growth and purpose coexist here. Archetypal worlds, such as the Forest of Whispers, reflect deeper layers of the mind and past for beings that lie in this part of creation. Though these elements are secondary to higher realms, they are essential to the ongoing evolution of creation.

  1. Ideas:

  2.

    • Memory: The idea of what is remembered and forgotten, and how the past influences the present. This concept isn't as central as the essence of existence itself but still shapes the nature of reality.

    •
    • Illusion: The concept that some parts of existence may be merely illusion or perception, playing with the boundary between what is real and what is fabricated.

    •
    • Free Will: The concept of choice and personal agency, how beings navigate their paths through infinite possibilities. While not as fundamental as the essence of existence, free will plays a crucial role in shaping individual destinies and the flow of creation. It influences how actions and decisions ripple throughout the layers of existence, creating a dynamic interplay between cause and effect.

    •

  3. Concepts:

  4.

    • Evolution: The idea of growth and change over time, of beings and systems adapting to their environment. It’s an important concept but doesn’t hold the same foundational power as the creation or destruction forces.

    •
    • Mirrors: A concept used to explore identity, perception, and reflection. While important in understanding the self, mirrors are a secondary element to deeper concepts like time or fate.

    •
    • Emotions: The concept of internal states and feelings, while fundamental to life, is considered secondary to more structural ideas like logic or existence itself.

    •

  1. Values:

  2.

    • Courage: A value that drives beings to take risks, face fears, and step into the unknown. While it is important, it is seen as more of a characteristic than a defining principle of creation.

    •
    • Compassion: The value of empathy and helping others, often seen as an ideal for those who wish to protect and uplift, but secondary to higher values such as duty or sovereignty.

    •
    • Curiosity: The desire to understand, explore, and learn. While fundamental to progress, it isn't the core force that shapes the structure of the realms

    •

  1. Systems:

  2.

    • The Path of Trials: A system or process by which beings must undergo challenges to grow, often seen in mythic quests. It's important for personal development but doesn’t have the systemic reach or significance of something like the Flow of Mana.

    •
    • Symbiosis: A system of mutualistic relationships between beings, which helps maintain balance and harmony in smaller ecosystems or realms, though not essential on the cosmic scale.

    •
    • The Cycle of Renewal: This system governs the perpetual process of decay and rebirth, ensuring that everything eventually transforms or regenerates in some form. It isn't as fundamental as systems like existence itself, but it maintains the balance of time and change. From the death of stars to the renewal of life, the Cycle of Renewal dictates the rhythmic flow of transformation in all realms.

    •

  1. Archetypal Worlds:

  2.

    • The Forest of Whispers: A world where lost memories and forgotten ideas are scattered and where beings are constantly searching for pieces of their past. It’s significant to those who are lost or in need of self-discovery, but not as foundational as realms like the Vermillion Realm or the Everlasting Storm.

    •
    • The Forgotten Kingdom: A world that houses the remnants of once-great civilizations, now reduced to ruins and echoes. It represents decay, the past, and history, but isn’t central to the core structures of creation.

    •
    • The Boundless Oasis: A world of endless deserts with an eternal oasis at its heart, offering calm and serenity amidst the vast emptiness. It symbolizes inner peace and balance, a refuge where time stands still and one can find clarity amid chaos. This world reminds us that even in desolation, moments of peace are possible.

All the royal families' home realms are Archetypal Worlds, with the members of these royal families, especially the first members of their respective races, being Platonic in nature. These realms represent the homeplace for all these worlds, embodying the essence of their races. The royal families themselves serve as the strongest and perfect representations of their race's being, untouched by the imperfections of time. Each realm stands as a symbol of the highest ideals of their cultures, shaping the identities and destinies of those who live within them. From the dragon family's Vermillion Realm to others, these worlds hold the foundational essence of their existence.

The Fundamental Core, Pūtake Tino -

The Fundamental Core is arguably the most important layer of existence, encompassing everything that has ever or never existed. It governs all aspects of creation, standing above all else in significance. Often depicted as the higher parts of the trunk of Te Rākau Pūmau o te Ao (The Eternal Tree of Creation), it serves as the foundation of reality itself, the source from which all things originate and to which all things ultimately return.

Beings that reside within this realm are said to possess the power to reduce everything below them to absolute nothingness. They exist on an even higher level than those from The Central Core, entirely beyond its reach in any form. Only a select few throughout creation are capable of rivaling such power, and in even rarer instances, some have managed to surpass the entities that call this realm home.

Like the Central Core, which holds all ideas, concepts, values, systems, and archetypal worlds, the Fundamental Core exists on an entirely different level of power—one beyond the reach of most yet essential to the fabric of creation. Rather than a single infinite-layered hierarchy of realms, this transcendent plane contains multiple such hierarchies, each embodying a vital aspect of existence. Many of these realms are among the oldest in creation, predating even the earliest known eras. It is a realm worthy of its title—the place where gods among god's call home.

  Transcendent Realms -

In the Fundamental Core, realms are powerful expressions of reality's core truths and forces. These realms exist beyond mortal comprehension, shaping and influencing creation in complex ways. Here are some examples of these realms, each representing fundamental principles and offering a glimpse into the deeper structure of existence.

  • Te Whenua Moemoeā (The Land of Dreams) – This realm is where all forms of thought originate, whether conscious or unconscious. It is the birthplace of ideas, visions, and abstract concepts that influence creation itself. The deepest layers of this realm are said to hold the thoughts of the oldest and most fundamental concepts in existence, shaping the very nature of reality. One of its notable extensions is Rangonui Kōwhai o ngā Hawaiki, the mortal aspect of the Land of Dreams. This part of the realm serves as a bridge between the dreaming minds of mortals and the deeper, more unfathomable layers where primordial thoughts dwell.

  •
  • Kāinga Mākutu (The Home of Magic) – The wellspring of all magic, this realm is where the raw energy of sorcery is shaped and distributed throughout creation. Magic is often considered a form of imaginative energy, distinct from forces like Mana or Null energy. While it may lack the sheer power of these other forces, its versatility and ability to defy logic make it one of the most unpredictable and limitless forms of energy. The greatest magic users in history have pushed the boundaries of what should be possible, evolving their abilities to such heights that they have surpassed even the strongest Mana wielders. In rare cases, a sorcerer’s mastery of magic has allowed them to transcend the birthplace of magic itself, reaching a state beyond its fundamental nature.

  •
  • Te Pūtakenga o te Ao (The Origin of Worlds) – The absolute reality, the wellspring from which all existence originates. It is the fundamental core of all realities, the nexus from which every world, dimension, and plane is born. This realm does not merely contain creation—it is creation in its purest form, a space where the very essence of reality is shaped before branching into infinite expressions. Many of the most powerful reality-warpers draw their strength from this domain, tapping into its primordial energies to alter existence itself. Yet, no matter how much one warps reality, Te Pūtakenga o te Ao remains the highest principle, an eternal plane beyond change, serving as the true genesis of all existence. It is the foundational source that defines what is possible and impossible, the absolute measure against which all realities are judged.

  •

  • Te Rangi Tūhāhā (Heaven) – The celestial domain that embodies the highest states of existence, divinity, and enlightenment. It is a realm of pure transcendence, standing as the pinnacle of spiritual ascent, where the greatest virtues and ideals take form. However, throughout creation, there are endless interpretations of this realm with many names—within the mortal planes, various cultures, mythologies, and religions have envisioned their own versions of Heaven, each created by the beliefs and perceptions of those who seek it. These infinite variations reflect the aspirations and spiritual journeys of countless beings, and every version of Heaven is just as true as the last, for each holds a unique place in the grand design of creation. Heaven is also home to all angels, who serve as its protectors, guides, and emissaries across the vast expanse of existence.

  •

  • Wāhi Pātea (Hell) – The abyssal counterpart to Heaven, representing the depths of punishment, chaos, and rebirth. It is the realm of entropy, where suffering and judgment are forged into reality itself. Just as with Heaven, an infinite number of depictions of Hell exist across cultures, mythologies, and mortal beliefs—some as places of eternal damnation, others as realms of purification or trial. Each version reflects the fears, struggles, and consequences understood by those who believe in them, and every version of Hell is just as real and valid as the next. Hell is the domain of all demons, who thrive within its boundless depths, serving as its rulers, tormentors, or inhabitants, depending on the nature of each version.

  The Concepts -

Aside from the transcendent realms, there are concepts themselves—beings that do not have realms to call home but instead hold metaphysical worlds shaped by the very essence they embody. These concepts possess a unique form of reality known as Inner Domain. This power allows them to either trap others within their inner world or open it to the broader reality. These Inner Domains are governed by the thoughts, beliefs, perceptions, and experiences of the concept's embodiment, granting them absolute control over everything within. These metaphysical worlds shape how the concept’s consciousness operates, influencing how they perceive and interact with the world around them.

  The Heroes -

In this layer, mythologies, religions, and the essence of heroes and concepts all exist and intertwine within the transcendent realms. The greatest heroes in history, those whose strength and impact went beyond mortal limits, are often rewarded by being placed among the Te Rangi Tōnui, the Great Sky Beyond. These beings, even after death, transcend into a form that rivals the power of those from the Fundamental Core, becoming symbols of strength and resilience. For one to be considered a true hero, they must have helped protect those who couldn’t protect themselves, standing against the forces of evil in life. They must have overcome the struggles of life, upheld their values through both life and death, and created bonds with others who believe in their heroism. The greater the good deeds and the more horrible life may have been, and the ability to rise above those trials—this is what defines a hero.

Some individuals, through rare connections, can summon these heroes' power in times of need or battle. These heroes often come from mortal realms, such as figures like Alexander the Great, Gilgamesh, and others whose legacies have transcended their time. However, heroes from beyond the known realms, from the Unknown itself, can also be called upon, adding to the vast array of legendary figures accessible to those who can connect with them.

Similarly, individuals can connect with powerful concepts like time, fate, or justice, drawing on their absolute influence. These concepts are foundational to the structure of reality itself, and by connecting with them, one can call upon their strength to guide actions or shape outcomes. Whether summoning a hero’s power from the known realms or the Unknown, or invoking a concept’s influence, these connections allow people to tap into the transcendent forces that shape all of creation.

Higher Narrative Realms, Ao Pūrākau Runga -

Ao Pūrākau Runga, the Higher Narrative Realms, exist as a plane so vast and incomprehensible that even the most fundamental forces of existence cannot reach it. Ruled by the Tūmatauenga Kaitahi, the Supreme Narrators, this realm transcends all known concepts and even the very idea of stories themselves. Ao Pūrākau Runga is not merely a collection of stories—it is the higher narrative, the very essence from which all stories and existences are birthed.

The Tūmatauenga Kaitahi hold absolute dominion over the narratives of existence, able to rewrite, reshape, and erase any part of creation at will. They can introduce new laws, new entities, new concepts, and new realms as easily as an author can create characters or locations within their stories. Everything within their grasp is nothing more than words on a page to them. The characters, events, and powers within these realms are viewed from an external perspective, where the Supreme Narrators shape the narrative and the universe as a whole to suit the story they wish to tell.

Just as an author has complete freedom to manipulate the boundaries of their works—altering the rules and nature of their story—the Tūmatauenga Kaitahi are not bound by any constraints in their narrative. They can introduce infinite changes, shaping the very essence of existence to fit the broader story, knowing everything about their work and being completely unreachable by anything within it. Their presence is beyond comprehension, their actions having no limits as they shape the flow of creation through the realms of existence.

Ao Pūrākau Runga exists as the higher narrative above all stories and concepts. It is the framework from which all realities, worlds, and stories derive. While individual narratives unfold within the realms governed by the Tūmatauenga Kaitahi, this higher narrative realm transcends the concept of "story" itself, existing as the ultimate origin and constant re-shaping of all things that would be considered stories or realities.

Some beings in this realm are manifestations of authors or characters themselves, endowed with author-like authority. These beings can interact with their own narratives, manipulating the world and its characters in ways that would be impossible for those within the story to understand. The Tūmatauenga Kaitahi exist beyond all rules of creation, their every decision altering the fundamental nature of existence itself.

In the Ao Pūrākau Runga, reality is a higher narrative—a narrative that exists beyond all others, constantly shifting and evolving under the will of its supreme creators. The Supreme Narrators wield the power to write, change, and control everything within their grasp, shaping the entirety of creation as one would shape the plot of a tale. It is a realm of infinite possibility, where the very essence of existence is subject to the whims of the Tūmatauenga Kaitahi, the ultimate authors of all stories.

The Great Sky Beyond, Te Rangi Tōnui -

Te Rangi Tōnui, the Great Sky Beyond is the highest and most mysterious realm of all. It is said to be the final layer of existence, a place where those who ascend beyond all else become something incomprehensible, surpassing the entirety of creation itself.

This realm exists beyond all limitations, beyond all known hierarchies and structures, where even the most fundamental forces of existence fade into irrelevance. It is not simply a paradise or an afterlife—it is a transcendent state of being, an elevation so absolute that it cannot be compared to anything within creation. Those who reach Te Rangi Tōnui attain an existence beyond all frameworks, holding power so vast that it infinitely eclipses everything beneath it.

It is impossible to categorize or find an exact description for Te Rangi Tōnui or those who reside within it, as they exist completely above and beyond all classification and definition. Any attempt to understand them is purely conjecture. They are completely unbound and free from all logic and the laws of reality, capable of doing absolutely anything they desire, no matter how impossible, illogical, or irrational, with no effort at all. For instance, they may retain a personality despite transcending such an idea entirely.

Those who dwell in Te Rangi Tōnui exist above everyone and everything, viewing totality itself as insignificant, mere fiction they can create, control, and erase at will. There are no limits or boundaries to their power, as they exist beyond the very concepts of power and limitation.

This is why it is known as the Great Sky Beyond—this realm represents the endless sky, the unreachable expanse that exists beyond all else. If creation is a great tree branching into infinite realities, then Te Rangi Tōnui is the sky it can never reach, forever beyond its grasp. It exists above not just existence, but even stories themselves, surpassing all narrative structures and conceptual frameworks. Even the Supreme Narrators, who control the Higher Narrative Realms, remain beneath Te Rangi Tōnui, as this realm transcends storytelling itself.

Only three known beings in all of recorded history are known to have entered Te Rangi Tōnui: the Hunter, the Sorcerer, and Wfighter. These are the only figures whose ascension has been acknowledged, though the truth of what they became remains beyond comprehension. Of the three, Wfighter is the only one who was able to return to creation, carrying with him knowledge that no mortal or god could ever fully understand.

It is unknown whether others reside within this realm. There may be more beings who exist beyond the known limits of reality, but for most of creation, their existence will forever remain a mystery.

  The Deep Darkest, Pōtangotango -

Pōtangotango, also known as The Deep Darkest, is a realm located beneath creation, existing outside the boundaries of all known existence. It is a place of terrifying isolation, serving as the prison for the greatest evil ever conceived. This realm is distinct from the known layers of reality, much like Te Rangi Tōnui, the Great Sky Beyond, Pōtangotango, also known as The Deep Darkest, is similar to Te Rangi Tōnui, the Great Sky Beyond, and is a realm of transcendence—but it holds an opposing purpose. It is not a realm of ascension but rather one of confinement, a dark and forbidden place far removed from the order of creation. The realm itself is governed and powered by the great evil that is trapped within it, its very essence shaping the endless depths of this prison.

Before it became a prison, Pōtangotango was once the Domain Supremacy of the Hunter, a being of immense power who had dominion over the darkest forces of creation. The Hunter, in his effort to contain the ultimate evil, sealed this force away within the realm. After this act, Pōtangotango was transformed into an inescapable prison—a realm that exists only to hold the malevolent forces that were bound there.

The Frozen Planes are the only known layer of this realm. This vast, desolate expanse is a lifeless wasteland, where the very air is cold with the remnants of what was once imprisoned. It is a place where nothing grows, where time itself seems frozen in place, and where the echoes of

malevolent power pulse beneath the surface. The Frozen Planes serve as a chilling reminder of the evil that lies trapped in Pōtangotango.

Beyond the Frozen Planes, nothing is known. It is said that the realm may have no true bottom, stretching infinitely into the unknown, a place where reality begins to break down. The darkness here is beyond comprehension, and only a few whispers exist about what lies deeper within. For now, Pōtangotango remains a secretive and terrifying prison—an eternal holding place for an evil that must never be released, with its true nature locked away from the rest of creation.

The Greater Void, Te Kore Nui -

The Greater Void, Te Kore Nui, is the original nothingness—a void that has existed since before The True Writer brought creation into being. It is said to be the true realm of the creators, where The Great Good (The True Writer), The Great Evil (Lordanis), and The Great Nothingness (whose nature remains unknown to us) were born, existing beyond all things, even Te Rangi Tōnui and Pōtangotango. Nothing within creation can exist in this void, as it rejects anything but absolute nothingness—anything else simply ceases to be.

Due to the lack of knowledge surrounding this otherworldly, transcendent plane—where all things are stripped of meaning—only a few truths are known. The Great Nothingness rules over this never-ending void, and the only other entities that can exist within it are the Null Beings—creatures devoid of meaning, who perceive all of creation as nothing who come from The Great Nothingness, thus earning their name.

  Overall -

These realms shape the foundation of existence, each with its own purpose—whether as places of transcendence, confinement, creation, or absolute void. From the heavens of Te Rangi Tōnui to the prison of Pōtangotango, and the unknowable abyss of Te Kore Nui, every layer holds its own mysteries. Te Rangi Tūhāhā stands as the home of angels, while Wāhi Pātea is the domain of demons. Ao Pūrākau Runga exists beyond even stories, where the Supreme Narrators shape reality itself, while the Fundamental Core is the heart of all creation. While some ascend to greater heights, others remain bound in the depths, yet the cycle of discovery and change never ends. There will always be more to uncover, more stories to tell, and more beyond what is known.
