Southern Crescent Moon Convention, 1,028 (3)
Marcoplix, capital city. Near the central governmental building.
Fox and another 30 agents, including Nala, her team, and Esmeralda, hid in the dark with their NUAs hanging high from an alleyway. Their armors attached to the walls, letting them adhere to these. They watched the governmental precinct from afar, which was enormous and had a lot of railing perimeters and vehicles moving around. It seemed like a complicated task to sneak in.
“You go get the big prize.” A voice sounded in the alleyway, a few heads turned to the source. Miros, who was spoken to, looked back at Fox with wide eyes. He was being granted a chance, after so long!
Clank, kk. Colmillo didn’t react, but she acted and moved slightly to hang beside Miros with her feet remaining on the wall as her hands moved her body sideways. But Fox then said, “Alone. He is to take over the main office while everyone else works their part.”
Colmillo lifted her face and looked at Fox for a little while. Then, she lowered her head for another bit before looking up at Miros. This had to be done by her boy, indeed. That was how he could get through the secret world in the future. It wasn’t just any mission, but a great opportunity.
“…” Miros returned her the stare and lightly grabbed her hand before resolutely nodding towards Fox. Then, Miros fell from the wall without making a sound, smoothly dashing to a manhole and diving in to disappear from their eyes.
A few seconds later, all heads turned to Fox. He brought his left hand to his helmet, making everyone tighten their muscles. The moment he pressed it…
“Take the capital.” Fox commanded ever so lightly. While they were a few tens here, throughout the capital city, the rest of PR and PSD elites had spread out. Some of Fox’s chosen were present, but not all. The rest were on other places of the city, leading the other special agents.
Their armors were completely turned off, only having their effective durability and essentials, while their radars, visor system, and communications were completely off. Until now.
Pffuuh, pffuuh, stomp- stomp! Everyone set off. From the alleyways to hidden around buildings’ corners with other objects, the special agents went on the move. This was several thousand medium NUA armors with the secret world’s intervention during a war.
Pf-clink, pfsha~, pfsst- cranch! Swwlip… In a sweep of motions, Fox stomped off the wall, impulsed his body to dash forth with the air ejecting from his NUA, and sent 2 pivots ahead in a dive just as he began falling. A right comet erected from his forearm, entering a poorly hidden special agent through their solar plexus, startling them until Fox aimed a Green to their head.
Bang! Fox saw the visor turn bloody with the first shot penetrating below the jaw before casually dropping the body, rushing to the next. Out of nowhere, siren sounds emitted from everywhere around the government building, with numerous vehicles, almost all, heading their way.
The special agents didn’t remain in one place longer than a couple of seconds at most, but they were noticed by the nearest guards and fired at on their first advancement. Yet, Fox’s and the other agents’ pivots, flown beforehand, easily blockaded and deflected their firepower.
The special agents continued moving while being shot at, only a couple of the bullets making it through and hitting some armor from the 30+ charging towards the main building. The vehicles inside the other railing precincts formed up, prepared to stop these agents.
The special agents from Marcoplix, supposed to help them, were rapidly targeted and taken down, destroyed before they could even attempt to flee. Seeing this, the guards felt trepidation, but they couldn’t flee from a job like this, much less during war.
…booom… Just then, only to the ears of the special agents, an explosion sounded right in the middle of the main building. The message only came to the guards a few seconds later, when they were ordered to return and protect the president and the cabinet.
The guards did as told, having no reason nor status to disobey. But as soon as they turned, the special agents took their Northern Snowflakes, NSs, and fired at them.
Fox, who had just beheaded a Marco agent after a couple of swishes with his ultra nails scrapping off their low NUA armor, stiffened when he heard the bomb. Immediately, he gave the signal as he grabbed a SS from the agent he just killed and rushed forth.
“Advance! Don’t let the kid alone for too long,” Fox’s voice received a few lye yells. Colmillo directly took a few belts off her back, which moved like muscles and biological life rearranging. Meanwhile, the belts she took off were launched ahead, extending over 15 meters before falling on a railing, exploding immediately after.
Bang- zzzzzzzzz! Booooom! Boom, boom, boom! The way was opened through the first railing, with an initial but small explosion at the center of the belt before electricity snakes surged everywhere. Then, flaming waves expanded, melting the railing with a Mintip mix.
At the same time, sirens sounded throughout the city. The capital was in high alert.
In the main building, just when everyone was taken aback about the sudden alarms and feeling anxiety when they heard the gunshots and explosions, as well as those screams. The people inside became paralyzed, looking in the conflict’s direction.
They were just walking around, chatting, briefly greeting, and what not. The atmosphere was nice with the favorable situation in Zyckevele’s southwest. But just as they stopped walking, now watching and wondering what the hell that was all about… the floor exploded. A thing, an armor, flew from below and soared into the ceiling.
Its arms extended suddenly but agilely, and more than anything, with precision. Some were badly hurt from the explosion, standing too close, but Miros wouldn’t stop only to make sure nobody was hurt. At least unrelated to his task.
The armor extended one hook after another, elastic and extensive, capable of elongating over 50 meters with ease, let alone indoors, even if this was the ginormous main building. Some others were also mildly hurt, but the armor kept soaring, and before headbutting the ceiling, a small, strange circular devise was thrown, making strange sounds before exploding.
Pfwah- pffh- sssu- PFWAH! The Static March explosive, SM, was much lighter than the last explosion. It opened a path for Miros to continue soaring, this time to a more closed environment to do the same. Once and then more, Miros sent hooks and exploded ceilings.
At last, he closed in onto the objective, finding himself exploding upwards into a much smaller area but just as big as one could imagine. There were a few dozen people hurled together, who turned to him with cringed bodies and eyes taken by surprise many folds over.
STOMP! “Nobody move,” Miros landed on his medium NUA, heavily sounding its weight and might. Those who had their heads turned and wanted to flee or face Miros stayed put, not moving an inch, standing awkwardly there.
Miros saw the Marcos president near the window, looking at him, whose wide eyes quickly lost hope. Then, 3 people turned and made a run for the exit near them, each on an opposite side.
Tr, r, rr. Miros lifted a Southern Horizon submachine gun, SH, and fired at their columns. They might die, but they were warned, and those shots were to stop and paralyze them at the very least. The other people were awestruck, but they didn’t dare look to the sides in case the crazy armored person also shot them.
… A few minutes later, Fox and the other special agents arrived at the top, following Miros’s holes starting on the main floor of the building. They also had hooks, and they didn’t have to open up the way, so they were faster. The outside was mostly quiet except for the sirens now, too.
“…” Fox was welcomed with the sight of Miros having subdued everyone. Every cabinet member and their sub secretaries were on their knees with elastic yet unbreakable rubber tying their hands above their heads, further connected to their shins. They couldn’t move their elbows from bending backwards. Additionally, their mouths were filled with their ties or socks.
Fox nodded to Miros before walking forth. His left hand held a large pistol now, instead of Lymoca’s pistols. He suddenly aimed and executed the 2 paralyzed people on the floor, whose eyes were widened, and their bodies bled a bit.
Their chest was turned to smithereens from behind, killing them soon after if not with the impact. The people squirmed, understanding what was going on. Their crazed mindsets worked to give Fox room to fire at the other person, which Fox did, killing them just the same.
Then, Fox looked at a person among the kneeling ones, which was the chief of police in the capital city. He gestured to him, with a chosen agent walking over to drag him out of the office. Then, Fox walked to Miros, who stood beside the Marcos president, leaning his elbow on him.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Fox nodded to Miros, this time looking at the boy who did well. Miros turned his head to Colmillo who was second in arriving after Fox, and walked to her in a good mood.
With Miros gone out of the picture, he grabbed the Marcos president’s hair and stepped up on what was his desk. The president groaned at first before immediately stopping, grimacing with sheer pain as many strands of hair fell off.
Fox pushed himself up the desk and the president alongside him. The latter opened his mouth wide, pained and tweaking, as a camera recorded him without most of the cabinet even knowing.
Bang! Just as it seemed Fox would list the requirements for Marcoplix to surrender, he lifted the large pistol and aimed it at the president’s neck. Fox fired the pistol, which disconnected the jaw from the neck, leaving the rest to fall off the desk as the face lost mobility, like losing battery.
Then, in front of the hidden camera on a PR agent’s medium NUA’s chest, a PR elite agent took his helmet off and stood in between, his face directly in front. Socolov looked sternly at the camera, “This marks Marcoplix’s surrender. The civilians of Marcoplix won’t be affected, but every soldier and military vehicle shall be restrained and confiscated for investigation.”
“Your daily lives will follow as usual, as much as it possible can. Zyckevele has no intentions to bring the territory of Marcoplix under its command, and neither does Merula, Iztos, nor Xeoxia, who helped navigate against this hidden danger to the rest of Dawn.”
“The payment for the sins of your government will be spoken of after the Radical Wars are over. Marcoplix’s involvement in the Radical Wars has been finalized in its entirety from now on.”
The camera stopped recording then. Socolov gave Fox a look and nodded before walking out. The other PR agents took the remaining living cabinet members and sub secretaries with them. They would further bring the country and capital to a surrender. For now, Zyckevele will be in charge of the country.
Fox stretched his neck as the other cabinets, shocked and mortified, were dragged outside the office. He walked to the exit as well, with Nala and Esmeralda nodding at him. This was yet another successful task, and this time, it was quite a bit different and more complicated.
Marcoplix wasn’t Terka or Cerka, and their ability was completely blinded by the act of giving forth to all their forces into enemy territory, and to fend them off. Only some special forces remained behind for whichever reason, either because the president was quirky, or just in case.
Regardless, compared to what the secret world is capable of, being the first on being struck even, Marcoplix’s hoog was similar to Terka and Cerka. In this regard, they were treated like dogs and cats, worked around without knowing how easily and brutally they died or were going to.
The capital was crippled. Were this to be a completely different time, it might not have meant much, especially with the high spirits the Marcos people had after ‘knowing’ they were doing the right thing and succeeding.
The notion of Marcoplix simply becoming lost, with all their leaders taken, and soon those resisting taken down as well by Zyckevele, Merula, Iztos, and Xeoxia’s hoogs in the warzones would soon spread.
And it was just as expected. As soon as the world began waking up again, if they haven’t been woken up because of the news directly, the east finally came to know what happened in Marcoplix. The end result came explosively despite its slow arrival.
Easterners woke up to the realization that, after several days of victory after victory, for as small as it was, building the morale of the southern anti-Zyck coalition, it had fallen.
The hidden invasion that didn’t have as much attention after the initial social impact, which many took as Zyck ‘rebels’ trying to force the powerful Marcos back to defend their home, became decisive. From a few days and even fewer nights, Marcoplix was brought down.
Single-handedly defeating a nation? Many pointed fingers at Lymoca’s Heavensbane, whose name was now utterly out of south Moonblue alone. Of course, Socolov’s appearance somewhat took that away, bringing it to Zyckevele in more than one way.
Even then, too many people were shocked to know this, including the presidents of Vevuesta and Queorian. They didn’t have to be extreme wise sages to know what that special agent’s words meant then. After all, some whispers about deals coming into their ears were becoming more tempting the more success Marcoplix had, and the more it lasted.
Vevuesta seemed desperate. Their president immediately sent a viral video message through social media, explicitly expressing concern over the misunderstanding, in case there was one. Vevuesta would remain outside all and any Radical Wars and conflict.
If Vevuesta seemed desperate, then it was like a child’s emotion compared to Queorian, which was further surrounded by KAA and Merula, now having direct borders with Zyckevele. Zyckevele said they weren’t annexing any of Dawn, but it was definitely becoming a base for them.
They might not abuse their use of resources there, but it won’t be too far off, even with KAA being their ally. After all, to whom would the territory go, if not KAA? Merula? It would directly break the relations between Zyckevele and KAA, and such things might be just opportunistic at this time, but if something happened after?
In the convention, the news came as a big surprise, but it did not alarm anyone, if only the public servants of Marcoplix. On the other hand, ANS, which has been visited constantly by every nation, suddenly became a little zoo entertainment people only looked at.
Everything was still running smoothly, and with the ongoing conflict, it was only necessary that the convention was taking extra days to be held. Regardless, every party was present. They only needed the day to arrive so it would start.
… After taking over the Marcos government and handing it to Zyckevele, Fox saw some of the political drama, but he directly rested his equipment and focused on reconnecting with Zyckevele. His job was done, and Zycks’ situation had improved drastically.
As of later the same day the news of Marcoplix’s surrender, the Zyck forces advanced until they had ? of Orxa’s territory and ? of Pexa’s territory. The hypersonic missiles clearly struck them hard, but even without Marcoplix, they were still the people who could fight Zycks for more weeks to come, perhaps even a few months. But after that?
They were even losing the morale their civilians used to have, and the rate of young people walking into their military force bases diminished to exponential degrees. It was only a matter of time now. As for Zyckevele? Their morale had never been better…
Additionally, Merula had expressed their wishes on Marcoplix, not on the territory, but using it as a base. Zyckevele didn’t want that, and for their cooperation, especially with the hoogs working together to take military and public Marcos officials going into hiding, they struck negotiations.
Xeoxia rapidly exposed details of the exploded train, leading to the misunderstanding to Zyckevele being the culprit. But instead of relaying it to the public as a means to fool Marcoplix, they blamed it on the lunatic of a president the Marcos had.
Which civilian who wanted answers wouldn’t have it? The mindsets were cleared, and the people who were lost suddenly showed up, showcasing the Xeoxian president’s vision to ensure her people’s safety and defend them accordingly.
With those Xeoxian families returned to their homes safe and sound, if only missing a little bit of sunlight for a few weeks, the country was emboldened with spirit. Additionally, in a burst of positivism, the companies and families who protested, harsh and insultingly, offered joyous apologies to their president.
It all went well, and even if by a tiny iota, Fox’s operation brought 4 countries to stand closer to each other, solidifying their position in the global eye, and even through their participation in the Radical Wars.
… Even before the early morning of the following day, Fox woke up at 2:00 am to make a video call and be done with his operation in Zyckevele, which had taken him a bit of time but not that much overall. In truth, this was a good record of the possibilities that the secret world has, especially with certain conditions met.
Resting for just a bit, Fox showed himself in a prepared room in a city near Merula’s northeastern coast. It was a small room, and it was crafted to secure the line between this place and Zyckevele’s capital. The reason simple; Fox was to continue on his journey.
The call connected quickly, with the laptop showing its usual procedures. But this time, Fox was using a large screen to showcase the Zyck President’s image. He was alone in another similar room. As soon as both looked at each other, the President took a moment to stare at him.
“It seems your help to Zyckevele is coming to an end. It was a job well done, Fox.” The Zyck President began. Fox tilted his head in a small gesture. Anastasiv continued, “I must congratulate you for the time taken and the efficiency you’ve shown.”
“It isn’t much when those countries had so little ‘effort’ put into their hoogs… their laziness was also on par with their corruption.” Fox shook his head a little. Anastasiv nodded a few times and a little in agreement.
“Speak your demands if there’s anything you’d need in your trip to KAA. If there’s something of crucial importance, don’t keep it to yourself, kid.” Anastasiv proceeded with a direct approach.
“Mhm, there are a few things. But first, do I… have any word on whatever agreements you might have on this fight? Even if you finish your side of the eastern Radical Wars, you should tell KAA is far from it.” Fox didn’t waste time and directly set the table.
“Indeed…” The Zyck President sat at that table and waited, looking expectantly at Fox.
… Before 4 AM. After Fox talked with the President, only requiring several minutes to bid farewell to the man and his country. Fox received confirmation that the combat helicopters had arrived to Xeoxia and were being piloted to Merula.
They went on glide mode, impulsing with their Pugor engines to fasten their speed a great deal again. Furthermore, they counted with some escorts from the 3 countries, Merula, Iztos, and Xeoxia themselves.
Their combat helicopters with Lymocan technology would arrive later, so they didn’t feel thirst after seeing them off. They were close to landing in the city Fox was. Of course, only them had clearance to fly above their aerial territory, anything else that wasn’t their military would go off.
Just as Fox was leaving the hotel he had rested a little in, with his wives long waiting for him at an airbase, Socolov walked to him and called out to him, “Fox! A word, please.”
Fox stopped and turned to the man, who might be all too anxious to return to the arms of a beauty, so this might be important. Socolov didn’t waste Fox’s time, saying, “Some of our elites want to go with you. Furthermore, they would help you show what you can do, at least as proof of the credibility you deserve.”
“Who?” Fox asked. Socolov grinned a little. “They showed a little interest in your group at first. After everything you’ve done, you ought to know they want to see more. You have set an example on… certain things that require further analysis.”
“Nikitina and Kusmina?” Fox lifted his eyebrows. Socolov twisted his lips in a helpless smirk, “Well, you guessed that. But Lean Somirnov is also coming. We are sending you the elite, and KAA will need more help. If it causes you trouble… no, I know it won’t.”
“Hm.” Fox lifted his chin a little. Socolov smirked before stepping away, giving Fox one last look before going on his way to return to his beauty. Fox turned and suddenly felt more… It was something he could not describe, and it meant a heavier duty, but he only knew it was more.
He went on his merry way to continue with the madness he’s spread over the northeast much sooner than it would’ve occurred; on to deliver it to the southeast.
…
