The Beginning

We start in a land far far away, not available to mortal means of travel. A land where magic, science and energy intertwine in a dance ad build on each other. While not one and the same, they co-exist harmoniously. The people of this land are also born with powers, while some are born with more potential than others, everyone can control either magic or energy with enough training and effort. However, there was but only a handful born with immense potential, however, these few were usually only able to become masters of either magic, energy or science... never more than one at a time. Such is the trade-off for ultimate power.

Here we follow our, as you call it, 'Protagonist', Sapphire. A brave lad who has struggled and trained to become the strongest, right? No, Sapphire was one of the few gifted with immense potential and while he did train, becoming his level was a bit easy for him, although he has pushed his limits many times, and soon he became a master of energy.

Sapphire was no ordinary civilian however, he was a commander of the entire army of his land, as well as the 'High Arbiter', the main judge and the one who has the final say. He was the last resort, the backup. When 'shit hit the fan' so to speak, he was the one people called to clean up. He was the one people turned to for help. As powerful as he was, he actively chose a life of peace. Soon, even nature recognized his power.

But on a calm day, like any other, Sapphire was summoned by the 'High Monarch' who was half snake and half human both metaphorically and very literally. His long, serpentine tail glimmered in the sunlit room, sparkling in hues of turquoise and oily black, contrastingly, his 'human parts' rich in color, lively and sun-kissed, long and slender arms at his sides. He stood tall in his black, business forward suit, adjusted his tie as him and the army surrounding him awaited Sapphire's arrival. In the blink of an eye, as if he materialized from nothing but the dust in the air, seated laid back on the chair, sat Sapphire, "My, my. What would you want with little old me?" spoke Sapphire in his ever confident tone, balancing a pen on his nose, his mind clearly elsewhere. The monarch as well as the rest of the army, visibly annoyed, played along as Sapphire was the single most powerful asset they would never want to cross, as it would cost their lives. 'A plan' they called it. A plan like no other, to ule not only the planets, but the very elements as well. The monarch pleaded, "B-But Sapphire! Think of all the go-" he was cut short as Sapphire spoke, a soft yet thundering voice echoed through the meeting room, "Listen here and listen good 'kay? Ya don't know what yer messin' with. You mess with a power you can't control and you'll be sent straight to kingdom come, got it?". The room fell silent, the monarch started getting upset, but what could he do? If he only took a step forward in defiance of Sapphire's word, he'd surely die. So he sat silent as Sapphire walked out answering his phone.
