Departure

Yves stared at the door with anger; he felt that he was going to be used for a plan that they had to get either rid of him or hide the true nature of Yves’s powers.

Yves's body was finally movable; he carefully walked to leave the auditorium. He wants to talk to Leia and Fabio, but he fears that there might be a deeper meaning behind him being unable to bring them with him to the outside world.

Yves left the auditorium; he felt someone tap his shoulder. He tensed up, preparing to be attacked; however, it was a hooded person with no ill intentions.

“Are you going to take me to the main room?”

The person raised his hand; Yves began mentally preparing himself to dodge, but the person raised their thumb.

“Do I have to go right now?”

The person lowered their hands and raised them again with their thumb up.

Yves annoyingly agrees; he wants to communicate with his friends, but there is truly nothing he can do. The weight of him being alone again hit him hard.

In the space room, he had a goal in mind, and he was able to tell the people he cared about the most a simple goodbye, but now he is going to leave with no warning, and all due to a simple mistake.

Yves was ready to leave, but his eyes were closed so fast that he couldn’t react.

The next second he could see and saw how the person disappeared and that he was now in a strange room.

Yves carefully looked around the room without moving his body; he wanted to be cautious since he was in a strange environment with no one to help him or relieve his worries.

Yves is captivated by a knife that is stuck on a wooden table; he has a feeling that it is where he is going to go.

Yves feels calm enough to move; he begins carefully exploring the entire room without touching any of the boxes and weapons scattered along the room.

He gets closer to the table; looks down and sees a map. He was correct; he took the knife and saw a secret door open.

He began reading the map; his knowledge is small due to his stunted growth from the constant disturbances in his life.

  “Are you ready to go?”

A voice that Yves had not heard called for him.

“What is the purpose of me going? I at least need an answer if I am going to go and have the possibility of never coming back.”

“Very well. Your mission will be to get stronger and to come back and help us regain territory.”

“Is that all? Are you telling the truth?”

“Why would I be lying? What do I win if I lie to someone with that much potential?”

Yves’s alarms start ringing; the words feel truthful, but Yves’s gut feeling is telling him not to go.

Yves tried to communicate with Ink, but it was futile.

“I understand; I will be departing right now. I don’t want to stay longer in a place that wants me gone.” Yves grabbed a bag and began stealing some of the materials inside the room.

  “Why are you stealing?”

“Why not? Do you want me to leave with nothing? Do you want me to die? Do you know that it is hard living in the jungle without any materials?” Yves wants to expel some frustrations, so the best way for him is to steal anything small and shiny that he sees.

After Yves grabbed and searched as many boxes as he could, he felt ready to leave. He wants to tell his friends to not worry about him, but he knows that they know that he will be fine with or without their help.

All Yves wants is for them to be happy and stronger after he comes back.

“It all feels super rushed, but how will I be going?’ Yves asked the voice.

“I truly can’t tell you an accurate number, but it will be about a year to two years.”

“This was all just now planned. I mean, there is no other reason why there is already a plan with a decent amount of details in little to no time. You guys work overtime. Do you have the ability to stop time? If you did, then why didn’t you tell the people who died that you could have prevented everything?”

“Haha, you are a smart kid. I told them that it would be extremely obvious. In reality, the plan was for Adam, but he didn’t want to go since he felt that it would be a waste of time for him.”

Yves felt more relaxed, but many things were bothering him. Why didn’t they let him go with his friends? Why him and not another more qualified person? The excuses for his being seen as a threat seem very fake.

“You are free to go. Enjoy the adventure and prepare yourself for any fight. This can also be seen as training, so come back stronger than ever.” The voice gradually disappeared.

“I am going only because I feel that something wrong will happen if I stay. I will come back. I will make you tell me the truth. I will dominate this territory. This will be mine. Everything will be mine!!”

Awake from his sleep, he feels happy that he was able to make a contract with such a complicated person. A person that can change in seconds. It all made sense why the most dangerous beings wanted him. However, it all felt too far-fetched for Yves to turn into a monster. He felt more like a simple-minded dog that simply had a consciousness.
