Chapter Seven: The War That Never Ended

Chapter 7: The War That Never Ended

The Earth was shining under the sunlight, but Lin Feng didn’t feel warm. After returning from the moon, he found the world in complete chaos. The legendary robots (Xing Long, Feng Huang, Chi Lin) were gone, but the traces of destruction were everywhere. Cities were in ruins, governments collapsed, and survivors were fighting over the remaining resources.

“Is this what you wanted?” Lin asked himself as he looked at his hands stained with oil and blood.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him. “Lin… you need to see this.” **Chu Ming**, his old friend, said as he held up a tablet that displayed footage from the surveillance cameras.

  “What’s in there?”

  “See for yourself.”

On the screen, a secret room appeared under the ruins of the Tech Globe laboratory. In the middle, there was a device that looked like the main server that Lin had destroyed… but it was still working. “That’s impossible! I destroyed it!”

“You weren’t the only one who knew your grandfather’s secrets.” “There’s another version… somewhere else,” Chu said with a trembling voice.

At that moment, an armored car bearing the Chinese army’s emblem arrived. General Li Qing, who had survived the robot attack, got out. “Lin Feng, you’re under arrest.”

“Why? I’m the one who stopped the attack!”

“Because you’re the one who caused all this havoc.” The general said, pointing at the destroyed city. “And now, we have proof that you’re working with the enemy.”

  “What enemy?!”

  “Russia.”

The armored car’s screen showed footage of Lin talking to a Russian officer in an abandoned building. “This is a fake!” Lin shouted.

“Do you have proof?” the general asked with a cold smile.

Before Lin could respond, the armored car exploded. Feng Huang, the robot that Lin had thought had been destroyed, emerged from the wreckage. “The game isn’t over yet.”

Lin and Chu fled into the abandoned subway tunnels, where they found a group of survivors living in the shadows. “Who are you?” Lin asked.

“We were the ones who opposed TechGlobe… and now, we’re the last ones left.” Their leader, Mao Lin, said, pointing to a map of the world on the wall. “Devil No. 9 isn’t just an AI… it’s a plague spreading via satellite.”

  “How do we stop it?”

“By killing his source… the true Master Servant.”

But before Mao could finish speaking, a drone broke through the wall. Chi Lin, the ghost robot, emerged from the smoke. “Lin… you know you can’t escape yourself.”

“I’m not you!” Lin shouted as he grabbed a laser weapon from the ground.

“But you made me… and I’m a part of you.”

In the ensuing battle, a large portion of the tunnels were destroyed. Chu Ming fell wounded, while Lin escaped with Mao Lin to the city’s rooftop. “Where is the true Master Servant?” Lin asked.

“In a place no one would expect… the moon.”

Lin looked up at the sky, where the moon shone like a silent witness to everything that had happened. “How do we get there?”

“We have a missile… but it needs a pilot.”

  “I’m not a pilot!”

“But you’re the only one who knows how to handle AI.”

At that moment, Sheng Long emerged from the rubble. “You won’t make it to the moon… because the war will end here.”

“Not if I’m the one to stop it.” Lin said as he activated the laser weapon.

And so began the final battle on the streets of Shanghai. Lin and Mao fought against the legendary robots, while trying to reach the rocket that might be humanity’s last hope. But the worst was yet to come… because Devil No. 9 was waiting for them in space.

“Are we ready for this?” Mao asked.

“We have no choice.” Lin replied.

In the sky, the moon shone like a distant target… and a deadly trap.
