Chapter Thirty-Four Sleeping Together
Snowflakes fell, and at a glance, he suddenly gasped in cold air.
The brooch fell from Xuan Xuan's hand and rolled to the foot of Cang Mou, who glanced at it indifferently. Just as he was about to walk away, he bent down to pick it up instead.
Her slender eyebrows were slightly furrowed, her eyes narrowed, gazing at the brooch in her hand, shining with a dazzling light under the lamp.
She couldn't believe he would come back at this time, her heart tightened and the thing in her hand slipped out. She glanced secretly at Xue Luo behind her, whose small face had already turned pale. Just as she was about to say something, she saw Xue Luo swiftly walk past her, snatch the brooch from Cang Mu's hand, then turn around silently and head towards the room.
Xuanxuan was busy smiling and trying to hold onto Xueluo, but she still took a step too late. She didn't know why, but this man always gave her a feeling of fear.
"Zhen jie..."
Just as Zheng was about to turn around and leave, Cang Mou spoke up, calling out to Zhen Jie at the same time, also successfully stopping the two women in front of him.
"Prepare a guest room for Miss Xiang..." he said to Zhen Jie.
"It's Young Master..." Zhen Jie hastily nodded, and before she could turn around, Xue Luo's voice came over.
"Zhen jie doesn't need to, Qianqian and I will sleep together..."
As soon as the snow fell, the surroundings became silent. Zhen Jie didn't dare to make a sound and only carefully glanced at Cang Mu with her eyes narrowed. Meanwhile, Xuan Xuan seemed to have sensed something and quickly pulled Snow's sleeve, smiling: "Snow, I'll sleep in the guest room..."
"Then I'll sleep with you in the guest room..." Xue Luo looked at Qian Qian with a smile, and then, as if nothing was wrong, pulled her into the room, only to drag the luggage out again and move to another room.
He gazed at her actions, only slightly curling the corners of his lips, and didn't say anything else before entering the study. He settled into the large armchair, and in front of him appeared that shiny butterfly brooch again. He picked up the phone on the desk, dialed a string of numbers, and after two rings, the other end was answered, with a voice that seemed to still be panting: "Boss, it's so late, what do you want from me?"
"How's the investigation going?"
"Big brother, didn't you say I had three days? Now one day hasn't even passed..." The person on the other end couldn't help but wail.
"Three days isn't enough time for you to flirt with girls..." Cang Mu rubbed his temples in frustration.
"Who said I was flirting? Boss, I'm actually working hard..."
"Alright, alright, give me the result tomorrow..." Cang Mu interrupted him and hung up the phone. Then he took out his mobile phone again, slid his fingers on the screen, hesitated for a moment, and pressed the quick key.
"Hello?"
He smiled lightly, his lips curving into a pleasant arc: "Come over for dinner?"
"That end seemed to pause for a moment, then opened its mouth, and its voice was still calm: 'Your home?'"
"Uh-huh."
"What does it mean?"
"It's just eating..."
"I have something!" The other end interrupted him and hung up the phone. Cang Mu looked at the phone with a smile, then pressed the button again.
"Meiying, what are you afraid of?" His voice was firm and direct, sounding as if he had absolute confidence, yet with a hint of suppressed amusement. After a long silence, her clear and cold voice was heard again: "I don't know what you're talking about."
"I have something on hand, come over..."
"Something tomorrow, I'm off work..." She still resisted and hung up the phone again.
