After leaving the forest, they continued to enter the territory abandoned by the cultivators.
The closer they got to the interior, the scarcer the energy became, until the moment it became 0.
On the other hand, the number of mortals increased as it passed.
Lin Huang noticed that it was as if there was no cultivation here. As if it was a completely separate world.
He felt as if he had returned to the blue planet during the time of feudalism.
There was almost no difference
The ancient emperors were now formed by descendants of the disciples of the 6 great sects.
But even though they are descendants, mortal life is short and they long ago lost any loyalty to their roots.
They lived for themselves and for their own benefit.
The moment the energy reached the lowest peak, Xiao Tian was the first to complain.
With a low '' Kieeww '' and drooping wings as if showing sadness he looked at his master.
Lin Huang noticed the beast's gaze and understood. It was uncomfortable.
While human beings could live without spiritual energy, the same could not be said about animals.
What differentiates a normal rat from an intelligent rat is precisely the ability to be nourished by energy.
But if the spiritual rat remains without energy for a long time, it will gradually atrophy to the point of returning to its most basic form: a simple irrational animal.
Mo Yanluo also noticed the animal's sadness and quickly asked, "Master, what's going on? Is Xiao Tian hurt?" His expression exuded a bit of panic upon seeing his best friend like this.
"Don't worry Yan'er. What's happening is...." After explaining everything to the child Xiao Tian remained worried.
''But master, how are we going to keep Xiao Tian here if he can't absorb energy? Wouldn't he weaken?''
Lin Huang nodded, "Yes, you are right. But remember, your master is not an ordinary man. Just like I can pass energy to you, I can also do the same to Xiao Tian."
He then turned to the hawk, 'Come , get in here.'
With a light grunt of farewell, the bird turned into a trail of light and entered Lin Huang, to be precise, it entered the system space where there was the perfect territory for him to cultivate, as well as abundant spiritual energy.
"Don't worry Yanluo, after forming the sect we will be able to bring him back."
''Ok master''
Lin Huang was not entirely sure of what he said. He was relying on assumptions.
The beast system gave him the perfect place to grow the animals.
The location system allowed him to do general searches for the best locations.
He was counting on the sect system being activated also providing a perfect place for cultivation.
Finally on the fourth day after entering the abandoned territory, the location system beeped
''System, is there any ideal location to establish a sect?''
[Ding, 99 meters ahead ]
In front of Lin Huang were two twin mountains so tall that they touched the clouds, between them a natural path. As he passed through the path, between the two mountains was revealed a plain with many trees and completely surrounded by more mountains.
Lin Huang did not understand how this place was unoccupied. It was a place with a very strong defense that could only be invaded through the front entrance. Of course, cultivators could fly in, but to mortals, it would be like an iron fortress.
Lin Huang could only be thankful, if there were people he would have had a hard time. He relaxed, initially thinking that the journey might have several challenges, maybe encountering some reclusive cultivator, some situation that involved fighting, but fortunately everything turned out well.
Furthermore , even with 0 spiritual energy, he could feel that there was something special about this place.
''Yan'er, this will be the place we set up our sect.''
The child's eyes shone, the place seemed magical.
After choosing the ideal location between the twin mountains, Lin Huang and Mo Yanluo immediately began working on building their first structure.
"Yan'er, we will need wood to build our house and the sect's entrance gate," Lin Huang said as he looked at the trees surrounding them.
"Yes, master!" Mo Yanluo replied excitedly, his eyes shining with determination. The young disciple quickly drew his sword, eager to put what he had learned into practice.
Lin Huang smiled as he saw the excitement. "Let's use this opportunity to practice the technique I taught you. Watch."
With fluid movements, Lin Huang unsheathed his sword and stood before a tall tree. Concentrating, he channeled his energy, combining the elements of air and metal. The blade of his sword began to vibrate subtly as a metallic glow enveloped it.
"First Move – Slashing Breeze," Lin Huang muttered before executing a precise strike.
The tree remained motionless for a moment before gently sliding to the side, the cut so clean that the area it touched was completely smooth without any unevenness . The trunk fell with a loud bang, causing Mo Yanluo to widen his eyes.
"Amazing, master! Can I try too?"
"Of course. Remember, unlike your master, you have no affinity, focus on compensating for the affinity through spiritual energy. Use what is within you instead of unconsciously seeking what surrounds you . Don't push too hard."
Mo Yanluo nodded seriously and stood in front of a smaller tree. Taking a deep breath, he tried to imitate his master's movements, channeling his energy into the sword. His first strike only scratched the tree's bark.
"Don't be discouraged," Lin Huang said, stepping closer. "You're putting in a lot of physical strength and reaching for the energy around you . Remember , you won't get it. Feel the flow within yourself and externalize it through the sword."
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
After several attempts and patient corrections from Lin Huang, Mo Yanluo finally managed to cut down his first tree. The cut was not as clean as his master's, but the trunk fell, eliciting a cry of joy from the boy.
"I did it, master! I did it!"
"Very good, Yan'er. Now we'll need a few more."
For the next few hours, master and disciple worked side by side, felling enough trees for their initial construction.
By the time the sun began to set, they had built a simple but solid structure. A small hut that would serve as a temporary shelter while they planned more elaborate constructions.
"Master, something important is missing," Mo Yanluo said, looking at the entrance to the plain between the mountains.
" What , Yan'er?"
"We need a name for our sect! People need to know who we are when they get here."
Lin Huang smiled, pleased with his disciple's insightful observation. "You're absolutely right."
He selected a wide, flat board that they had cut earlier and placed it on a stone. With a dagger, he began to carve characters into the wood with precision and elegance.
Mo Yanluo watched in fascination as the characters took shape under his master's skillful hands. When Lin Huang was done, he held up the tablet so his disciple could see.
Daos Sect ," Mo Yanluo read aloud, his eyes shining with admiration. "It's perfect, master!"
"A thousand paths, a thousand possibilities," Lin Huang explained. "Our sect will not just follow a rigid path like others. We will embrace all talents, all forms of cultivation, be it animals, insects, humans, everyone will have a place in our sect.
Together, they fixed the plaque onto the natural entrance formed between the two mountains. The newly carved wood gleamed under the last rays of the setting sun, the words "Thousand Daos Sect " proclaiming the birth of something new in the cultivation world.
Mo Yanluo stood beside his master, gazing at the plaque with pride. "Master, do you think we can really have a thousand disciples one day?"
Lin Huang placed his hand on the boy's shoulder. "Not just a thousand disciples, Yan'er, but a thousand different paths to greatness. And you, as my first disciple, will be the eldest brother to them all."
Lin Huang then looked at the sect system
He had two options available at the moment. The first was one called 'Bind' which allowed him to bind himself to any sect. He could do this and then the system would be activated from the Divine Cloud Sect.
The second option was "Create", but it had some requirements. The first was to have at least 1 disciple . The second was to have a region, the third was to have a building, the fourth a guardian beast, the fifth a name and finally a technique.
All requirements have been met.
''System. Create the [Thousand Dao Sect ]''
Then, under the darkness of the night, the entire plain, from the entrance to the mountains surrounding it, began to light up.
Lin Huang and Mo Yanluo closed their eyes and felt a huge noise of things breaking, rocks being destroyed, trees falling.
Lin Huang and Mo Yanluo watched in amazement as the light emanating from the plain intensified. The golden glow that started at the entrance between the twin mountains now spread across the entire length of the valley, illuminating the night as if it were day.
"Master, what's going on?" Mo Yanluo asked with wide eyes, instinctively approaching Lin Huang.
"I told you, I, your master, am not an ordinary man. I am creating the sect," Lin Huang replied, shamelessly taking credit for himself. Well, the system was a power that belonged to him, so he was not wrong.
The sound of breaking rocks and falling trees echoed throughout the valley. The earth shook beneath their feet. The small cabin they had built with so much effort began to glow brightly, its wooden walls melting into a golden liquid.
Suddenly, the ground began to change. Stones emerged from the earth, forming paved paths. Where there had been only dirt and grass, now there were foundations of polished stone.
"Look, master!" Mo Yanluo exclaimed, pointing towards the center of the plain.
In the heart of the valley, an imposing structure began to rise. Golden pillars sprouted from the ground like trees growing at an unearthly speed. White stone walls with deep purple and vibrant red accents formed between the pillars, creating a majestic main hall.
Around the main hall, smaller buildings began to emerge in harmonious formation. Areas for disciples, training areas, libraries, meditation rooms, each structure appeared complete and perfectly positioned.
"Master, it's... it's incredible!" Mo Yanluo could barely form words, his eyes trying to absorb all the simultaneous transformations.
Lin Huang watched with equal admiration. He had expected the system to help him with laying the foundation of the sect, but the magnitude of the transformation had exceeded his expectations. The sect that was forming before his eyes was far grander than he had imagined.
Gardens sprang up between the buildings, with trees appearing instantly, as if they had always been there. Small lakes formed with fish jumping, their crystal clear waters reflecting the golden glow that still hung in the air.
In the center of each lake, white stone fountains with purple accents gushed water that glowed with a soft blue luminescence, adding an ethereal touch to the landscape.
The outer walls of the sect rose up along the perimeter of the valley, blending seamlessly with the mountains that already served as a natural barrier. A large golden gate with red inscriptions materialized at the entrance to the valley, complementing the wooden sign they had placed earlier.
A blue dome also formed in the sky , it was a protective array that covered the entire territory of the sect.
When the transformation finally began to subside, Lin Huang and Mo Yanluo found themselves facing a complete and majestic sect.
"Master," Mo Yanluo whispered, his voice trembling with emotion, "is this really our sect?"
Lin Huang nodded, placing his hand on the disciple's shoulder. "Yes, Yan'er. This is the Thousand Daos Sect , our home from now on."
Mo Yanluo looked at his master, his eyes reflecting the golden glow of the halls . "Master, how is this possible? How did all of this come out of nowhere?"
Lin Huang smiled. "It's your master's power. But it's a secret, when you grow up , I'll tell you one day."
They continued exploring the complex, discovering training areas equipped with weapons and formations, libraries with empty shelves waiting to be filled with knowledge, comfortable rooms for disciples and masters.
They finally found the main thing, what Lin Huang needed the most at the moment.
At the entrance to the main hall there was a small water fountain , from which came a clear and fine spiritual energy that was expanding
"Master, look!" Mo Yanluo exclaimed, pointing at the source.
The spiritual energy source pulsed gently, creating waves of energy.
The boy became excited as he felt the energy emanating.
"With this, Xiao Tian won't have to suffer, Master." His first thought was of the bird he hadn't seen in a few days.
Lin Huang then released Xiao tian from the system space.
''KIIIIEEWWWW'' With an excited and dissatisfied cry he began to fly around the fountain.
He was dissatisfied because Lin Huang did not invite him to witness the birth of the sect. He could see everything from the system space, but he preferred to be there in person.
The falcon and the child went to play together, strolling through the enormous sect that had just been born.
Lin Huang stared at the source confirming an assumption
The energy she emanated was much purer than normal. Even when she was in the Divine Cloud Sect, which used energy condensation arrays, it still wasn't as pure as the energy coming out of this source .
Even though he had never witnessed it, he had the thought that not even the 7 great sects in this world had energy as pure and dense as this.
