Chapter 1: The Origin

This world, vast and teeming with life, is home to a myriad of races, with humans being the most numerous. Millennia ago, an unprecedented catastrophe shook its balance: thousands of portals opened simultaneously from the North to the South Pole, cutting across the equator. Through these breaches—dubbed by humans as the "Gates of the Gods"—waves of beings from other worlds began to arrive.

However, these migrations were not the work of the planet’s native deities. The ancestral gods watched helplessly as their world was invaded by entities that also proclaimed themselves as gods, disrupting the equilibrium they had established. The intrusion of these new divinities transformed the very nature of the planet, infusing it with an energy previously unknown—magic.

As a response to this invasion, some humans—though a minority—began to manifest supernatural gifts. These individuals became known as the "Gifted", blessed with unique abilities to defend themselves against the invaders. Others, even more exceptional, demonstrated the ability to manipulate magic directly, dividing themselves into "Mages" (men) and "Witches" (women).

After millennia of chaos, a new order began to emerge. An Industrial Revolution transformed human society. Engineers, devoid of magical abilities, developed machinery powered by steam and other innovative technologies: trains, automobiles, airplanes, and most crucially—firearms. These weapons allowed ordinary humans to defend themselves effectively against the invading races.

In this new world, Hirica, a nation in the northern hemisphere, emerged as the pioneer of the Industrial Revolution. Its system of government combined a monarchy with a senate. The protection of the king, the royal family, and the senators fell to the kingdom’s most powerful warriors—Gifted, Mages, and Witches—who were officially known as the Royal Guard. However, among the people, they had earned a far more fitting name: The Execution Squad. More than mere bodyguards, they were Hirica’s elite warriors, the last line of defense against any threat.
