(In the Hideout)

  "Time to go already, I've enjoyed my break," Shoi says

  Kurayami replies "while I've been getting my ass kicked you've been relaxing time to go."

  "Alright" Shoi drags himself to the door.

  Every girl to Kurayami looks like that one girl he keeps seeing.

  (Flashback to the morning)

  "What's on your mind, big bro," Hoshi said.

  Kurayami "Nothing much, just a girl paid for the groceries yesterday."

  Hoshi nudges him "Oooo is she your girlfriend, or perhaps your wife."

  Hoshi tears up "Why didn't you tell me, bro, all this time your loner self has a girlfriend. Do you also have any friends?"

  Kurayami says "No, I don't and she's not my girlfriend."

  (In Kurayami's head)

  "What's this feeling I don't even know her."

  (back to Shoi)

  As they sit on a rooftop, the sun is setting. Kurayami shares his adventures with Akui to Shoi.

  "Wow, must have been crazy." Shoi, dead inside.

  "Glad I wasn't there," Shoi says with relief.

  Kurayami "This scroll I have is better than the one from the Soul Skeleton. Also, whatever happened to the scroll from the mirror."

  "I saw it fall through the mirror and never saw it again," Shoi said.

  "Damn, we should go see that old man again I feel like he would know," Kurayami say's

  They get down and hear a scream. "That guy stole my purse." Lady

  Both run after the guy, showing off their speed, catching up and taking him down, "Who told you to do this?" Shoi said.

  He looks like a regular guy, and they know something is up, but he points to nothing.

  "Playing games huh," Shoi says. When a black shadow comes launching at Shoi.

  Kurayami thinks fast and slices it down. They take the purse and give it back.

  "Thank you so much." Lady. "No problem" Shoi and Kurayami.

  "What's with these dark figures," Kurayami says.

  "We keep seeing them everywhere," Shoi said.

  "It's starting to get suspicious, something's following us, and now they can take control of others," Kurayami explains.

  It starts to rain, so they head to the nearest ramen place.

  They take their seats and order, a weird-looking guy is next to them.

  "Pss" Hooded man.

  Kurayami and Shoi point at themselves.

  "Yes you." Hooded man.

  "What's up, need some money." Shoi

  "Enough with the chit chat. I'm here to talk to him." Hooded man says looking at Kurayami.

  "How do you know Ms. Merlin?" Hooded man

  "Oh, the girl, I don't think she just randomly comes around," Kurayami said.

  Hooded man replies, "Both of you should get to know her." He gets up and leaves.

  "I have no clue what that was, I don't even get the chance to talk to her." Kurayami confused.

  They both eat and sit there confused.

  While walking back to the hideout for the night.

  "Night ruined by some rain, wow, what a short day."

  Kurayami "Also a confusing one, why would he want us to get to know her." Shoi

  Kurayami "Hey look isn't that him, and her." Shoi "Yeah it is."

  They watch from afar. Seeing him yell at her for something.

  "She's getting in trouble; I wonder what she did. I've never seen her in this state, she's always so serious." Kurayami said,

  "Let's get out of here." Shoi "Good plan." Kurayami

  They go a different path to the hideout.

  Yukina "Hey guys, quick night for you, and no injuries."

  Shoi is embarrassed he knows she's talking about him.

  "Akui getting better?" Kurayami asks.

  Yukina "Yeah it'll be a while till he's ready to go."

  Shoi is already sleeping.

  Kurayami "Yukina, you've been in this town long, and in the business for a while. What's up with this old man?

  Yukina "Oh Mr. Isamu he's a nice old man I always help him when I can."

  Kurayami (In head) "Ok she's oblivious." Kurayami "I can never find him at night."

  Yukina "Well he's probably sleeping he's old" she laughs.

  "I usually see him go to the bar in the morning, then water his plants outside," Yukina says

  Yukina also mentions ''He's pretty active during the day."

  Kurayami "Makes sense."

  Yukina "Why do you want to see him; you're going to kill him?" with a serious look.

  Kurayami "Nah I got some unfinished business with him."

  Yukina "Anyways good night."

  He's not heading home tonight, so that he can meet up with the old man, he needs to ask about the scroll and what makes it so special. Kurayami also can't go to sleep. All he can think about is Merlin. "I guess she wanted me to get to know her as well, but then she just runs off,"

  Kurayami says. "Maybe she wants me to say something, she doesn't seem like the shy type." Kurayami thinks.

  He stays up all night thinking about Merlin and what the scroll does.

  "Wake up, Shoi, it's time to go," Kurayami whispers.

  "Where, it's too early." Shoi mumbles.

  Kurayami "we have to see the old man, we can't miss him."

  Shoi gets up quietly, putting his stuff on, when he drops a glass cup.

  Making a loud noise waking Yukina up.

  Yukina "Get the hell out!"

  Kurayami "Lets Runn!"

  They both run out, and Shoi doesn't even have his shoes on yet.

  "We almost got caught." Shoi wipes the sweat away.

  As they go to the bar early morning, they find him having a cold one.

  Isamu "How's it going kiddos."

  Kurayami "going good, just need to talk to you about something."

  Feels as if it goes very tense, maybe as if someone is watching them.

  Isamu "You're being followed, let's get out of here."

  Kurayami " I could feel sometime of pressure, (In head) this guy is way stronger than I thought."

  They all go out and leave, cutting through short cuts back to the old man's secret place.

  "We should be good here," Isamu says

  Isamu "What's the matter."

  Kurayami " Well you see I went on a mission, and I needed my fingerprint for this safe and got a scroll. It has to be good right?"

  Shoi gets frustrated he wasn't there.

  Isamu "Look kid it's been decades since I've seen these scrolls, I haven't studied them in years."

  "Now that you say being inside a safe with a fingerprint was something I did once. My kid also has their fingerprint on it."

  Kurayami "Is that something all parents did."

  Isamu "Ones that were a part of bloodlines."

  Kurayami "You're saying I might have been a part of a bloodline."

  Isamu "This must be the case, I just never really knew many apart from mine."

  "There was a bloodline that no one ever knew but always were close to the best."

  Kurayami "Wow, I understand my dad must have been a legendary assassin."

  Shoi " No wonder you're the youngest to ever do it."

  Isamu " Going back to the scroll it's not very important unless you can forge it with your blade. Now it's been a while bare with me."

  "A good friend of mine is the last person I know to be able to do it. He knows a kind of magic that only certain bloodlines have taught."

  Kurayami " Bloodlines were pretty big."

  "They still are, it's just people don't talk about them as much," Isamu replies.

  "It's something that died off when Myst died off."

  Kurayami and Shoi "Wow this guy must have been awesome."

  Isamu "He reminds me of you for some reason Kuroi Kage."

  It's not a shock he knows who he is, just surprised.

  "Anyways, where can we meet this wizard guy?" Shoi asks

  Isamu "It'd be a long trip for you kids, I'd bring a doctor of some sort."

  "He's way across the forest. It's not a hard trip, just one to be careful of I haven't been down there in years."

  Kurayami "We're in!"

  Shoi gets excited for the next adventure.

  They say their goodbyes after getting the place cords.

  "Well, we should probably ask Yukina if she can come," Kurayami said.

  Shoi agrees, and they both go to the store.

  Trying to figure out what they should get.

  "Look! A ghost Yami." Shoi says

  As it flies through the walls.

  "That's our paycheck baby." Kurayami smiles.

  Kurayami "Shoi you go get him."

  He nods and runs off.

  Shoi runs off the walls putting the sword through it.

  "There is invincible now," Shoi says

  The ghost strikes back, turning from ghost form to solid form.

  "Oh, I see I've got to time it right," Shoi said.

  He runs around letting it use its stamina.

  It starts to flash, and the ghost is switching from both modes.

  He strikes it, making the blade stuck while slicing him in half.

  "Here Kurayami." Shoi smirks.

  Kurayami "Good one man."

  Shoi "This one's on me."

  Kurayami "thanks bro."

  Shoi gets a little snack and a card to invite Yukina to the team, while Kurayami buys food for dinner.

  They both head back to the hideout.

  "Hey Yukina," Shoi says with a smile.

  Yukina "What's up."

  "Wow, a whole card to invite me to the team, could have just asked."

  Kurayami "That's what I said."

  Shoi " Come on, everyone likes a little card now and then."

  They all laugh as the sun sets. They say their goodbyes and Kurayami lets everyone know to be ready when he gets there.

  Kurayami heads home tonight.

  Kurayami "Sorry sis I couldn't make it home. I stayed at a friend's though."

  Hoshi "You have friends?"

  Kurayami "Yes, a couple, do you want dinner or not."

  Hoshi "Let me meet them soon pleasseeee, and sure, but can I cook this time."

  Kurayami "Go for it."

  Hoshi cooks a respectable dinner making it so good, they both go to sleep early and get ready for the next day.

  He knocks on her door.

  Kurayami "Hoshi it's the first day of school, almost forgot."

  Hoshi "I know already almost dressed."

  Kurayami "Ok awesome, do you need me to walk you to your new school?"

  Hoshi slams the door open.

  Kurayami " Or is that too embarrassing for you?" says with a smile on his face.

  Hoshi "Shhhhh it's, not, ok, I just want to do it myself."

  Kurayami "Sounds good with me, but I will be watching."

  Hoshi heads out for her first day of middle school, as Kurayami sits on the balcony.

  "Wow, she's getting old," Kurayami tears up.

  He sees her meet up with her friends and looks away when he sees Merlin,

  Walking her little brother to school.

  "Small world I guess." Kurayami with no expression says.

  Kurayami "I guess I should go and meet them right about now."
