It's been a year since my return from the front... snort. Front? More like execution. The reality of the matter is our fleet power is WAY higher then what one would expect. I asked Xeravo about the numbers in total. Sure I could have done that myself, but I prefer interaction. It's polite.
Anyhow, the fleet stands at 4 Cairn Tomb ships, 11 Scourge class cruisers, 31 Scythe class cruisers, 185 Shroud class cruisers, 102 Khopesh class cruisers, 132 Cartouche class cruisers, 43 Sekhem class cruisers, 1273 Jackal class escorts, and 968 Dirge class raiders. That isn't counting the frankly ridiculous amount of fighters and such.
Honestly, I'm proud of my fleet. It took minimal losses throughout the great sleep, and stands largely ready for war. Some ships need maintenance, yes, but it is honestly mostly a formality.
In other news, my latest project is complete. Defense stations. Normally, we have planetary based defenses, along with the fleets. But, while that works, I prefer some added security. Equipped with Particle whips, they should be effective, especially in numbers. They are cheap and easy to produce. Not much armor, which is... not ideal, but for what they are? Good enough.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
I do wonder if we need a new ship though. Perhaps with beam weaponry? Or perhaps a point defence ship... hm... yes. We do. While our ships are fantastic at capital versus capital, in the CIWS department, they lack.
As I start designing, based off the Jackel class, I get a notification on the link. They are done translating. While their initial thoughts about it being a single unified empire were wrong, they did have a unified government it seemed. Hmmm.
As I read through the transcripts, I feel I must wonder why they feel the need to complicate logistics so. Such as the need for a so called "political assignment". Is that some type of commisar? Like in 40k and Russia? Or... oh. OH! The rich buy into posts maybe? Ah. I don't care.
As I continue to read, I start to get the software to translate, so to speak. Oh, Kerro had said something about neural network, and interpretation, and the like. I nodded my head, and politely forgot it. I may have had to slink away a tad from his disapproval.
Anyhow, it was now understood that there were 7 races in this alliance of sorts (Still no name found). This orkish front is the primary issue, as they raid constantly across the boarders, but they have been in contact with the eldar... problematic.
Even more so that it seems a craftworld is visiting this unified race collection thing... you know what, I'm calling it the Alliance. Short and simple. Anyhow, they were visiting, and they had been raided by drukari? Who had?
Who knew. Details were sparse in this collective of captured communications (nice). But it did give me an idea...
