Dear diary,

  I practiced flying today.

  I've nearly perfected my landing technique and I'm not running into people as much. The skies were surprisingly busy today, I saw more than thirty people riding on brooms pass me by.

  I talked to one of the slower ones and apparently there's a magic school nearby. I followed them to their school and its only a couple mountains over to the left of our volcano. They were just passing by on their way back from an excursion.

  I wonder what magic school is like?
