Chapter 11: Dont Want to Stay Longer

Song Zhi Dong is the son of Wen Jian Zhong's colleague, and grew up with Wen Qi since childhood. He is one year younger than her. In primary and secondary school, whenever Wen Qi was mentioned, it would be impossible not to mention her little shadow, Song Zhi Dong.

In recent years, because of being too troublesome, he was sent abroad by his father to study, and as a result, lost contact with Wen Qi.

They had been quietly staying in each other's WeChat list for several years, and when Wen Xi was about to forget this person, he suddenly received a message from him again.

Wen Qi thought for a moment, raised her hand, typed a response in the chat window, then threw away her phone and happily selected clothes from her closet.

At this time, in the quiet restaurant, a man wearing casual clothes glanced at his phone with a careless expression, saw the response, and a layer of soft mist appeared on his originally clear eyes.

Half an hour later, Wen Qi changed her clothes and went downstairs. She glanced at He Mingzhen sitting downstairs, who was still waiting for her obediently. He was scrolling through Weibo, his eyelashes slightly lowered, his long fingers lightly swiping the phone screen.

  "I'm fine, let's go."

Wen Qi made a special effort today to wear a short skirt and put on lipstick, and when she walked in front of him, she could clearly feel that the way he looked at her was not quite right.

He Mingzhen's scorching gaze swept over her, then he grasped Wen Qi's wrist and she lost her balance, tumbling into his arms.

"You... don't get so close to me." Wen Qi felt a bit tense, his breathing slightly stagnant, and he could only lean back and force himself to open up some distance.

He Mingzhen wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and leaned in close to her ear, his breath hot: "Today's weather isn't very good."

"It's fine...I guess." Wen Qi touched her burning face and awkwardly turned her head to one side.

A sudden tingling sensation, like an electric shock, spread to her ears as He Mingzhen lightly nibbled on her earlobe. The scorching breath clearly lingered by her ear, knowing that her ears were the most sensitive.

"Don't..." Wen Qi showed some resistance, subconsciously trying to hide, but was forcibly turned around by him to face each other.

"He said today's weather isn't very good." He deliberately repeated it once, the emotions between his eyebrows overflowing from his eyes.

Wen Qi immediately knew that this was He Mingzhen's displeasure, so she went to hook his fingers in a flattering manner, "Then, I'll bring an umbrella? Just in case it rains, okay?"

"Are you serious or kidding?" He Mingzhen casually pinched a piece of flesh at her waist, "Change your clothes and come down again, it'll be cold tonight."

"It's still cold in the middle of summer, is your brain okay?"

Wen Qi scolded him with a smile, but seeing He Mingzhen's gloomy face, she immediately changed her tone: "Yes, it should be replaced."

"Alright, go." He Mingzhen was satisfied and released her body.

She went back to the bedroom, changed her clothes, and when she came out again, her phone started vibrating, presumably a message from Song Zhi Dong.

Wen Qi didn't care, went downstairs by herself and left the door with He Mingzhen.

He Mingzhen chose a restaurant that was very close to Wen Qi's home, just across the street. As they sat down, Wen Qi couldn't help but joke: "A restaurant this close to my house, you must really not want to spend more time with me."

"Don't you want to stay with me for a while? Then who do you want to stay with?" He Mingzhen lightly raised the corner of his lips and asked back.

She rolled her eyes and whispered, "Who knows."

"There are still patients at the hospital tonight that need me to go over. I'll send you back earlier today." He Mingzhen explained patiently.

  "Oh!"

Wen Qi was reluctant, but couldn't say much. For He Mingzhen, this workaholic, patients were above everything else, and no matter what, she couldn't take time away from them.

  Really too lacking in taste.

He Mingzhen was indeed too busy, and it wasn't until that evening that Wen Qi deeply realized this.

Within a short hour, his phone rang non-stop with over a dozen calls, and thus the dinner for two became his dinner with the phone.

Worrying about a hundred things and feeling bored, I can only look at the dim lights outside the window, my thoughts drifting away to a thousand miles beyond.

  She suddenly missed Xia Wei.

She was thinking of Xia Wei at this moment, in another city, whether she had found a place to settle down.
