Harmony woke up and jumped out of a bed. Before Chrys, as James called her, left, she had given them rooms to stay in. Harmony was grateful for it, but was confused why they were given the rooms in the first place.
Just yesterday they had been locked in a cell and questioned by the leader of the Unity for being with Eclipse. Now they were being given a second chance.
Harmony walked over to the bathroom that was attached to her room and started to fix her hair in the mirror.
She knew that Michael didn’t exactly like having to be in the same place with the Unity, but for now, it was necessary. Besides, Michael wasn’t the best at containing his emotions, especially when it came to the Unity.
The rooms that they were staying in were nice. Harmony heard James call them guests yesterday. That could be the reason that they were given nice rooms, but at this point it was only a guess.
There weren’t many experiences that Harmony could compare this to. She hadn’t exactly been kidnapped then treated as a guess before.
“Harmony! If you would please get out here as soon as possible,” Harmony heard Michael shouted through the door.
“Give me a minute!” Harmony returned.
Harmony quickly finished putting her hair up in a braid and grabbed her scythe. She was still surprised that James had allowed them to keep their weapons.
She walked back through her room, the bed still not made, and swung open the door. He unity
Light shone through the door and into her room, as well as
directly into Harmony’s eyes. Harmony blinked rapidly to let her eyes adjust to the bright light.
When her eyes finally adjusted to the light she was finally able to see the room around her. That included the paintings on the wall that depicted battles that the Unity fought, as well as two that Michael, Maya, and Steven were sitting on. This room made her think of a college dorm.
“Why did you need me to come out here?” Harmony asked, rubbing her eyes.
“It’s almost time for us to go back to that chamber we were in yesterday,” Maya explained.
This was too early in the morning for Harmony. She was used to waking up at nine in the morning. Anything earlier than that would leave her groggy for the rest of the day.
In Harmony’s opinion there was no need to wake up this early in the morning. What were they going to do during the day that actually mattered at their age?
“We need to discuss something,” Michael said.
“What do we need to discuss?” Harmony asked.
Michael got up from the couch that he was sitting on. Michael looked ready for the day, but just as tired as Harmony was.
“We’re going to talk about what we need to do now,” Steven explained, “way too much has gone on not to discuss anything.”
Harmony sat on the couch beside Maya. Michael returned to his seat.
“Starting things off, we have no idea what’s in store for us,” Michael explained, “James said that he was going to tell us what was going to happen today. Hopefully that means he will tell us when we go and meet up with him.”
That was true. They had no idea what was going to happen today. For all they knew it could lead to them getting thrown into a cell again.
Nothing was certain at the moment. This reminded Harmony of when their parents had died. There was so much chaos going on and Harmony was afraid of what was going to happen to them.

Michael was the only reason that they made it out of the dark time. It was at that point Harmony decided that she needed to take a step up and help Michael.
“We need to stick together,” Harmony passionately, “otherwise we won’t be able to accomplish anything.”
“I agree. I mean, look at what happens in horror movies!” Steven exclaimed.
The ability to make a situation less serious was a gift that only Steven had. Harmony hoped that nothing terrible would happen to them over the course of the next week. They have had enough bad things happening back to back.
At the very least it seemed that James didn’t want to harm them in any way. He treated them with respect. That led Harmony to believe that he didn’t have any bad intentions.
“Another thing that we need to do is grab as much information that we can get,” Maya counseled, “it’ll allow us to make better decisions on what to do next.”
“Agreed, I also think that we should…” Michael began as a knock on the door interrupted them.
“It’s time for you to meet James again,” Chrysanthemum yelled through the door.
Harmony picked up her blade and hung it from her side.
Hopefully some of their questions could finally be answered.

Their footsteps echoed through the hallway as they walked up to the platform. James, Lillian, and Silver were already sitting in their seats on the platform, which meant that the meeting was ready to get started the moment they got there.
A nervous energy started to well up inside Harmony. Meetings weren’t her forte. She knew it would be best to get this over with though. No sense putting off the inevitable.
Michael, Maya, and Steven were all silent. For Michael, this was normal. Same with Maya depending on the day, but this wasn’t normal for Steven.
Steven was the type of person to talk through just about anything. This was odd behavior for him.
“Take a seat,” Chrysanthemum ordered as they got to the benches in front of the platform.
Harmony sat beside Maya. The seats were made of a red material that felt nice. Harmony realized the fine craftsmanship. That wasn’t a surprise considering where they were though.
“Welcome,” James announced cheerfully, “it’s time for you to learn about what’s actually happening.”
The assumption that Harmony made earlier was correct. They were going to learn about what was going to happen. However many questions still lingered in her mind.
“The first thing that we should talk about is why you're still here and not currently under investigation,” James continued, “first off, I’m going to give you a second chance. I feel that because you are just teenagers there can’t be that big of a risk with allowing you to have a chance to redeem yourselves.”
There was a confusion in the air between Harmony and the rest of their group. Harmony definitely wasn’t expecting what James had just said. James saw something in them that Harmony didn’t see.
One thing that Harmony did notice is that James said there couldn’t be “that big of a risk”. Harmony was glad that he didn’t view them as dangerous. That being said, that did mean that James thought there was some risk.
“I will tell you what mission we are going to send you on when we figure it out,” James informed them, “for now, I give you permission to go to the Twilight academy that we have in the area. If you succeed on your mission, then you can finish your schooling there.”
“I’ll make sure to call you in later. Have a good day,” James turned around to leave.
Just before he left the room, he spun on his heel to face them, “don’t go causing any trouble please. It would be extremely hard to explain to the people in the surrounding area.”
As James left the room, Chrys stared at them.
“What are you waiting for? You can finally roam around,” Chrys remarked.
Chrys picked up a parasol that was at her side and walked out of the room spinning it on her finger. The door slammed as she swung it closed on the way out.
They were now in an empty room with no supervision from the Unity. Any sound they made now resonated through the entire room.
“What are we going to do now?” Harmony asked.
“We were given the opportunity to go view the Twilight academy. We should probably do it,” Maya recommended.
“You can do that, but I think I’m going to take a nap,” Michael muttered, “I could care less about seeing a school. I’ll figure it out later.”
“I would agree with Michael on this one, but I want to see the sun,” Steven declared, “how long has it been, Two days?
It sounded to Harmony like it was only going to be her, Maya, and Steven who were going to the academy. It should be a fun thing for them to pass the time with.
“Have fun. I’m heading out now,” Michael turned around and started to walk back towards their rooms.
It was time to explore the Twilight academy… They just needed to find a map.
