Chapter 5: Color and Medicinal Fields

Lin Luoran held a pot of He Shou Wu in her hand, which was a natural hair dye. Many rural areas had it growing in the corners of houses and walls. It was true that eating it could turn ones hair black, but as for why it was classified alongside ginseng and lingzhi as a spiritual medicine, Lin Luoran didnt know the reason.

Maybe its too young, so it can only play a role in promoting blood circulation and hair growth.

He Shouwus leaves were all dusty, making Lin Luoran feel embarrassed to bring it into space. She had no choice but to wash it with a basin of water. However, what puzzled her was that after washing for so long, the little thing was still misty. How dirty was it?

Lin Luoran felt something was off and moved the flower pot a bit further onto the balcony, then looked intently again, only to discover the unusual place.

The leaves of He Shou Wu have been very clean, at least in the normal sense of "clean". Lin Luo felt that it was dirty because a strand of gray mist was flowing on the leaf blade, shrouding the entire plant. Not only that, but also in the center of the vines, there is a light green mist that stretches and shrinks, especially near the roots, where it is most dense. Every time the green mist stretches out a bit, the gray gas retreats a bit, and every time the green mist contracts, the gray gas comes back to occupy its position. The two different colored "mists" seem to be engaged in a protracted battle!

And now it seems Green Mist is no match at all...

Lin Luoran wanted to take a closer look, but her eyes felt slightly dry and irritated, as if she had been using them too much. She closed her eyes, but her heart was still turbulent like the mountains and clouds.

What she just saw, was it a spirit or some kind of vital energy from plants?

Lin Luoran took a deep breath, opened her eyes, and it seemed that the fruit had brought about not only changes in her appearance, but also more wonderful and magical things on her body.

She looked at He Shouwu again, and it was that poor worm with its head drooping. The gray gas and green mist from earlier had all disappeared.

Only when the mind is focused and concentrated, will the magic appear, and the gray gas and green mist suddenly emerge. Lin Luorantuis good fortune arrived in his heart, he raised his eyes to look out of the anti-theft window.

The old residential area also has its advantages. The flowers and trees were planted many years ago, and now they have grown very tall. Not far from Lin Luos window, there is a large hibiscus tree, which is currently in full bloom. Pink and light red colors are intertwined with the green leaves, making it both beautiful and lively.

Upon closer inspection, the hibiscus tree also had a situation similar to that of He Shou Wu, with grey air and green mist vying for dominance, locked in a stalemate. The only difference was that the thickest green mist on the hibiscus tree surrounded its flowers.

Not only that, but also in the air is flowing such a wisp of gray gas, which is unknowingly inhaled by passersby into their mouths and noses.

Lin Luoran was startled and quickly looked at herself.

Dark energy was also surging towards her, flowing around her, and at a distance of about one meter from her body, yet it seemed to be startled by an invisible demon, causing them to scatter in all directions.

Huh, why is it that Im the only one who cant be tainted by bad luck?

Theres nothing different about her at all... except for the pearl on her wrist!

The mysterious pearl quietly tied to Lin Luorans wrist emitted a faint, otherworldly glow that ordinary people couldnt reach. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that this light only appeared within a one-meter radius in front of and behind Lin Luoran, and became extremely weak and invisible beyond that boundary. It seemed that the effect of the pearl had been discovered once again, haha.

If green fog is the essence of plants, the spirit of grass and trees, then gray air is the turbid air of this world. Humans live in such turbid air every day, no wonder technology develops more and more, but there are many strange diseases that didnt exist before.

If it were in ancient times, when the vegetation coverage was very high, there would be green mist everywhere, and gray gas would not dominate. Just from this point of view, those were indeed enviable years.

Lin Luoran wandered in her reverie for a while before she suddenly remembered her original purpose.

She picked up a glass from the table and suddenly appeared in a mysterious space again.

Last night, I just felt that the air here was fresher than outside. Now Lin Luorans body has been modified and is particularly sensitive to the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. At this moment, as soon as he entered, he felt so comfortable that he almost hummed with satisfaction.

At this moment, space in her eyes is also very different from last night.

Lin Luoran felt that the grass was very resilient last night, and the green mist on it was denser than the large peony flowers outside. The small tree that had fruit last night had a green mist flowing on it, which almost became substantial.

As for that small spring, it appeared blue and brimming in Lin Luos eyes.

More importantly, there is no trace of that greyish gas from outside in this space.

Grasses and trees are all green, only differing in lightness and darkness. But above the small spring is a patch of blue mist - could this be the different properties of all things in the world?

Right! According to the five elements division, plants are all wood attributes, and small springs are water attributes. Arent they just two categories?

Lin Luoran understood in her heart, used a glass cup to scoop up a cup of water from the small fountain pool, just about to go out, saw the small tree by the pool, the red fruit it had last night was indeed laborious and fruitful. Lin Luoran tilted her hand, and half a cup of water fell on the roots of the small tree.

The spring water seeped into the soil, and the small tree drank happily from the "nutrient solution". The green mist flowing between its branches deepened, and the whole small tree was lush and delightful.

Lin Luoran was finally satisfied and carried the water out of the space.

He Shouwu was half-hanging on the ground, extremely dissatisfied with his masters slow action. Lin Luoran carefully poured half a cup of water into the flower pot little by little.

The absorption of the spring water at any time, the green mist on the He Shou Wu vine gradually thickened, and the gray gas temporarily retreated, unable to help but retreat a little.

Lin Luoran was certain that it wasnt just her eyes playing tricks on her. The He Shou Wu, which had been half dead and half alive earlier, quickly became spirited and full of life at a speed visible to the naked eye after "drinking" half a cup of spring water.

It shouldnt be an illusion, how come it feels like it has grown taller, and the roots exposed in the mud have also grown a bit bigger?

Lin Luoran rubbed her eyes, but it wasnt an illusion. In just a short while, He Shouwu had grown another inch or so!

Heavens! This spring water is more effective than any ripening agent!

Lin Luoran was overjoyed and gazed at He Shouwu as if she saw a stack of banknotes. As she ran towards her, Lin Luorans usual calm demeanor gave way to a beaming smile that spread across her face.

Lin Luoran was eager to test his abilities now, and with a hand on the flower pot, he moved himself and the pot into space with just a thought.

The dirty flower pot is very mismatched with the clean and refreshing space, and Lin Luoran naturally wouldnt like to ruin the elegant view.

Gently, Lin Luo pulled out the He Shou Wu from the basin. The root of the plant in her hand was three times larger than when she had picked it up, all thanks to the effects of the spring water in this short period of time. She prepared to transplant the He Shou Wu into the space, but discovered that except for the small hut area and the surrounding spring water, the entire space was occupied by these three-foot-tall green grasses, leaving no room for planting at all.

Lin Luo looked at this serene and peaceful space, only to find that her own life was still not relaxed, and tidying up was also a problem.

  ……

The small shovel in his hand was naturally not a professional flower cultivator, but the shovel that Lin Luoran usually used to stir-fry dishes, which had been entrusted with an important task at this time.

A clump of green grass was removed, roots and all, to a spot closer to the small spring. Lin Luo had already cleared out a one-meter square medicinal herb garden, with a border made from small stones hed picked up from downstairs.

He Shou Wu was planted in the center, and a thin bamboo stick was inserted to let it grow upwards along the stick. The gray gas that originally surrounded the leaves had been naturally excluded by the space. Now, only a faint green mist remained on the roots and vines of He Shou Wu.

As for the size of the medicinal field, its not that she wasnt diligent in her work, but this green grass is just too difficult to deal with. Its clearly soft and fertile land, but the roots of the grass are so well-developed, tightly grasping the soil and refusing to let go.

Lin Luoran spent a great deal of effort and finally opened up this medicinal field with simple tools, planting the He Shou Wu that held her hopes.

Lin Luo Ran revealed a satisfied smile as he gazed at his own labors fruits.

She remembered she hadnt made her bed yet, so she didnt let herself continue smiling foolishly and instead left the room.

Glancing at the wall clock, it was already two oclock in the afternoon. If he left now, he should still make it on time, Lin Luoran thought to himself as he quickly packed up the dirty sheets, quilt cover, and clothes, preparing to head out and throw them away along the way.

This greasy and smelly thing can be washed clean, Lin Luoran didnt want to wear it on her body again!
