Chapter 26: Next morning, encounter allies!

  The next day Xhemile left the cave by the first sunrays. As she stepped out, she looked around for other surprise attacks. Fortunately, there were none. As she stepped outside the cave, she stretched her body and basked in the early sunshine. After that she took out a bit of jerky and ate this while she casually walked towards the next shining location, this time a red-light beam was her target. She strolled towards it and before she was in its surroundings hid herself inside the trees again. During her walk towards her destination the forest changed and was now not a pine forest anymore but a forest of normal trees with leaves and the occasional needle tree mixed between. This environment made it easier, even for her body mass, to hide inside the leaves of the different trees. Also, nobody looked above themselves, making the sneaking part quite easy. As she approached the red light, she noticed the increase of other lords in the surroundings, hiding in the bushes below her. She reached the small clearing in which the small chest was located alongside its guardian. A massive lizard. It was enormous and was wrapped around the chest like it was a plushie of a child. Its huge brown scales were covering its entire body and probably thick enough to even stop every weapon the surrounding lords possessed. She also saw that the scales on its underside and throat looked considerably thinner than the ones on its back.

  Xhemile sighed.

  She probably couldn't defeat this one without help.

  “Hey there~”

  A teasing voice appeared behind her.

  Xhemile’s heart left her body and she spun around, dagger in her hand.

  Right in front of her was a lady with dark purple skin and also a dagger in hand. Why does she know this? The dagger was also on her throat.

  “My~, my~! Such reflexes~ Probably good in bed too~? Right ‘Queen of the forsaken deserts’~?”

  She pushed away Xhemile’s arm still holding the dagger, which she then put away.
