Chapter 23: The One Who Finally Noticed

  Yohan noticed.

  He noticed the change.

The way Minra wasn’t tense around Shuun anymore.

The way her eyes drifted toward him more than before.

The way she had stopped trying to avoid him.

  And that?

That didn’t sit well with him.

  Not one bit.

  .

  It started with small things.

A well-timed interruption whenever Minra was near Shuun.

A casual touch on her shoulder whenever they spoke.

A smile just a little too easy, just a little too charming.

  Minra noticed it.

  And so did Shuun.

But neither of them said anything.

  At least—not yet.

During one of the scene rehearsals, Shuun was adjusting his script, sitting near one of the monitors.

Minra had naturally ended up near him—not on purpose, but not by accident either.

They were discussing something about the pacing of the villain’s lines, voices low, focused.

  Until—

  “Minra.”

  A voice cut in.

  Smooth.

  Friendly.

  But deliberate.

  Minra turned, blinking.

  Jang Yohan.

Standing right beside her, smiling too easily.

  Minra hesitated. “Yes?”

  Yohan tilted his head slightly.

“You don’t need to keep working, do you?”

  Minra frowned. “What?”

Yohan gestured toward the break area.

  “Come eat with me.”

  Minra blinked. “…Right now?”

Yohan nodded. “Yeah. You haven’t eaten much, have you?”

Minra opened her mouth to argue—but before she could—

  Yohan’s hand grazed her wrist.

  Casual.

  Light.

  But too intentional.

  And Shuun saw it.

  .

  Minra hesitated.

She didn’t really want to go.

Not that she had anything against Yohan.

But the way he was acting now—

  Something about it felt…off.

Like he was staking a claim.

Like he was trying to pull her away.

  And the worst part?

He was doing it on purpose.

She glanced at Shuun—and immediately regretted it.

  Because his expression had changed.

  Not annoyed.

  Not irritated.

  Just…blank.

Like he had already read through the entire situation.

And like he had already decided not to say anything.

  Because he didn’t need to.

  Because Minra had a choice.

  And that?

That made her feel even more trapped.

  .

Minra exhaled, trying to sound normal.

  “Maybe later, Yohan.”

  Yohan’s smile didn’t falter.

But his eyes darkened just slightly.

“Come on, just a little break.”

  Minra hesitated again.

  Because now—everyone was watching.

  Not just the crew members.

  But Shuun.

  And somehow—

  That made it harder.

Because no matter what she chose now—

  It would mean something.

  And she hated that.

  .

  Finally, Minra sighed.

  “Okay.”

Yohan’s lips curled into a satisfied smile.

  Shuun didn’t react.

  Not visibly.

  Not verbally.

But as Minra followed Yohan toward the break area—

  She could feel his gaze.

  Calm.

  Steady.

  Unshaken.

  Like he was saying—

  “Let’s see where this goes.”

  And Minra?

Minra wasn’t sure if she had made the right choice.

  .
