Prologue

It was honestly hard to tell what I was looking at.

My brain was having trouble keeping up with the mass of blinding white light, feathers, and eyes that seemed to be in the rough shape of a person.

“Balanced,” the being said, his voice seeming to come from all directions.

“I-is that a bad thing?” I asked nervously.

The mass of feathers and eyes continued to ignore me as a gold coin fell on one end of the scale.

All of the eyes widened in shock before settling into an annoyed look.

“So be it,” said the bright lights in the shape of a man before turning to me and I felt myself hurtling backwards down a tunnel of light.
