Chapter Twenty: The Chaotic Mandarin Ducks Spectrum

I dont know when it started, but Jiang Yan became more and more trusting of Tang Man, for the first time having a deep understanding of the word "friend".

She admitted that at first, she had deliberately approached him because of Ruan Jianglins relationship, but after nearly a year of contact, she and Tang Man had become more dependent on each others existence.

Perhaps its because neither of them has real family in some sense.

Jiang Yan occasionally heard news about Ruan Jianglin from Tang Mans mouth.

There are good and bad things, such as todays bid for Ruan Jianglin was successful again, Im so happy, and gave Tang Man a big red envelope.

There is also bad news, such as Ruan Jianglin apparently having a big argument with his father because of Gu Qing.

Although she had never intentionally inquired about Ruan Jianglin from Tang Mans mouth, she was more concerned than anyone else.

Cant let go, cant forget, blaming oneself for ones own mistakes, thats exactly the kind of person Jiang Yan is.

After the last trip to Yaan, Gu Jiaming also didnt know through what kind of coincidence, thoroughly integrated into the two small groups of Tang Man and Jiang Yan.

When three people walk together, there must be one who can be my teacher.

Jiang Yan learned a lot from Gu Jia Ming, and the two later visited Dunhuang Mogao Caves together, bringing back unique experiences in the ancient city shrouded in yellow sand.

I happened to take pictures of white-lipped deer and desert rabbits, which is a great harvest.

For nature photography theory, art is secondary, and the most important thing is to evoke human calls for protection of nature through photography.

Jiang Yan Yuan had only participated in the national competition with a try-out mindset, and Hua Da only had two places for the competition. Professor Li gave both places to Jiang Yan and Gu Jia Ming.

One of the quotas was given to Gu Jiaming, who is a senior in his third year and has participated in many such competitions before. He is also Professor Lis favorite disciple.

Its actually quite unfair to Ginger, shes only a freshman, and her experience and theoretical foundation are not as rich as those of her seniors, plus she had never participated in such a large-scale photography competition before.

But Gu Jiaming spoke up and asked Professor Li, who also thought Jiangyan was a good candidate in this regard, and naturally agreed.

Afterwards, Tang Man said that it was all thanks to Gu Jiaming. Gu Jiaming just said that after the matter is settled, lets just have dinner and consider it settled. Jiang Yan agreed.

However, as expected, relying on a set of pictures of Desert Rabbit, successfully advanced to the top three.

This is something that Hua Dazhi has never had before, although Hua Dazhi is a national gold medal university, but in terms of majors, the photography major at Hua Dazhi is not considered to be very good.

This is not only a joyous event for the entire photography profession but also an honor for the whole Hua Da.

Professor Li even invited them to dinner and praised them, saying that they must have a bright future.

Its hard to say whether this kind of thing is infinite or not, but anyway, as long as were happy now, thats all that matters.

Summer is approaching, cicadas are chirping loudly on the branches, and the heat is already somewhat oppressive.

Professor Li chose a traditional Chinese restaurant and also invited his wife.

They were all born into book-loving families and were very knowledgeable. His wife wore glasses and was gentle in her speech.

However, she saw that Jiang Yan and Gu Jiaming were about the same age, and also heard that this competition was Gu Jiamings recommendation to Mr. Xian for Jiang Yan, so she took it for granted that Jiaming must have liked Jiang Yan.

The two of them were also a good match in appearance. Jia Ming was a down-to-earth and hardworking child, who respected his teachers and often came to her home for meals. According to Mr. Li, her father, Gu Jia Ming would definitely make a name for himself in the film industry in the future.

It seems like theyre intentionally trying to matchmake these two people.

Jiang Yan initially thought that Shi Mu was just being enthusiastic and hospitable, enjoying the lively atmosphere. She would ask Gu Jiaming to pour her water one moment, and then ask him to pick out dishes for her the next.

Gu Shao still had a keen eye for observation and soon guessed what his masters wife was thinking.

Dafang Chengrang: "Shifu, dont mess with the mandarin duck spectrum again, Im a famous grass with an owner."

His words were straightforward yet subtle, with a tone that was both playful and serious, without making the mistress feel embarrassed at all.

Professor Li pushed his glasses and comforted his wife: "Let the children handle their own affairs."

Jiang Yan couldnt help but smile secretly, Gu Jiamings eyes took in everything, as if his gaze was asking her why she wasnt anxious at all.

Its really not her turn to be anxious, the one who should be anxious is Gu Jiaming, hes a henpecked husband.

Gu Jiaming continued to introduce dishes to his teachers mother, trying to steer the conversation in a different direction.

As Gu Jiaming wished, afterwards his mother-in-law asked him what school and major his girlfriend was in, but he didnt dare to speak again.

At the dinner table, apart from Professor Li asking them some professional knowledge, they didnt discuss any other topics.

The meal was finally over in an awkward atmosphere, and Jiang Yan became the most relaxed person. This meal might have been the only one she enjoyed.

The late spring breeze blew in, blowing her skirt hem.

Gu Jiaming stood beside her, looking far away, the Confucian scholar and the virtuous girl, the height difference was just right, it really looked like a perfect match.

She was saying goodbye to Professor Li and his family.

She waved goodbye and saw her teacher and his wife off as they boarded the car. Just as she was turning back, she unexpectedly ran into an acquaintance from her past.

This place is secluded and just right for talking things over.

She stood outside the corridor and saw Gu Qing inside the corridor. The person standing next to him should be her agent.

Compared with more than a year ago when I saw her beside Ruan Jiang, she looks even more beautiful and radiant, but has lost some of the innocence that I initially saw.

Its no wonder that she successfully became a first-tier movie star in just over a year.

Jiang Yan subconsciously glanced around her surroundings, but there was no sign of Ruan Jianglin.

Its ironic that now she cant help but think of Ruan Jianglin whenever she sees Gu Qing.

Gu Qings eyebrows and eyes subtly revealed a hint of displeasure. Originally, she didnt plan to come for this meal, but her agent insisted that she attend.

She thinks its better to spend more time figuring out what Ruan Jiang likes to eat these days.

Jiang Yans expression was distant and she didnt hear what Gu Jiaming said in her ear.

She didnt react, and I thought she was looking at something, but following her line of sight, I saw Gu Qing.

He smiled and waved his hand in front of Jiang Yans dazed eyes: "Do you need me to help you get an autographed photo?"

She finally came back to her senses and smiled: "Its not necessary to be so polite."

Gu Qings phone rang once, she opened it and saw that Ruan Jianglin had replied to her message.

She no longer had the mood to deal with those investors, and all she wanted was to fly to Ruan Jianglins side immediately.

She walked away in her high heels, leaving the agent alone to deal with so many investors.

Most of these investors are some big-bellied scoundrels, and she cant be bothered to deal with them, regardless of whether they give her face or not.

The broker hurriedly apologized in a low voice, but Zhang actually thought that Gu Qing didnt need to go to such great lengths.
